Jesus Christ what have men become... whiney fucking babies who need drugs to cope with... LIFE... It is just LIFE... the same as every other generation had to deal with... and you are failing at it. Depression... oh brother.

Depression always existed, just given different names. Many accomplished great men in history suffered from it and other mental disorders. Many great men killed themselves. Even fucking US presidents all depressed and doped up on psych drugs and/or alcoholics. It many cultures it's still taboo. I've had people from the middle east for example say there's no such thing as depression in their countries. There is of course, and their pharmacies carry the same drugs as in the west, but it's just not talked about. You can debate whether the depressed are coddled with too much and over-drugged but it's not a new phenomenon and it's not just the lazy and "weak" who suffer.

One dude told me recently how he had a breakdown and threw his psych drugs in the trash, "alcohol, the best psych drug ever" he told me.

Perhaps if you look at statistics my hunch is supported.

Common sense tells you that if you show no signs of a failed life you'd have less to lose.
