Look, theyre not adopting. Theyre paying a sperm bank for a donor, where they can stipulate the  haracteristics of the father. They wanted a baby that looked like them, that coukd be theres. Thats what they payed for.

They were ripped off, given a different outcome than what they paid for. If they were desperate for a baby they could have just adopted, but they didn't.
