Yes, it may be the most popular sport in the world, but America isn't really part of the world.

Thanks to the above for the live feeds!

The only time I watch football (soccer) now is to watch highlights because I just like seeing the goals. I can never be bothered sitting through a 90 minute game of club football any more. Now the World Cup is a different matter - that's some good shit.

are you guys talking about that game they play where it can go into double overtime and  and score still be 0-0?

fuck thats a lame ass game.

no strategy or playmaking at all. just running around losing possession of the ball over and over like school kids  do.

I'm guessing things like chess and strategy don't appeal to epic alien, he's more about the big shiny lights, first downs and 300lb lumps of shit.

This is going to be an interesting season in the Premier League.  No one is breaking away.  Manchester United is on top now due to today's victory, but all these draws (especially outside the Big Four) they have played may hurt them later.

United have a game in hand and if they manage a win against Chelsea then they're 9 points ahead

Ancelotti, are you listening
You better keep our trophy glistening
'cause we'll be back in May
to take it away
walking in a Fergie wonderland.

I don't deny that they are in good shape.  I'm simply saying that the way things are playing out, I can't see anyone breaking away.  Could see 4-5 teams with a fighting chance at the end instead of the usual 2 team race.
