It was only yesterday that I could go in without one, i mean WTF

Health clubs always provide them.
Mine has the 'sweating on the machine' towels and also the large, fluffy, after showering kind.  worth the dues!

i never use a towel and i work out pretty hard..i just use my shirt

Get a kitchen or hand towel from your local !mart for $1.99.  Keep it in your gym bag so you can present it at the front desk when requested.  Crap like that can give rise to rancor, which can aid your workouts.
I found one-seventh-of-a-week-expressed-in-hours to be notorious towel checkers.

some uni gyms do sell towels (jacked up price). In any case, just put a towel in your bag next time. Cheers!

Germs must be something new.

Back in the old days you'd sweat up a storm due to the lack of A/C, but no one ever got a rash or a pimple or something even more drastic when towels were never seen outside of the shower stall.

But regardless, it's really a simple matter to carry a towel in your gym bag.

Even simpler - sell them at the front desk!

And never do anything to piss off a customer unless you want him to take his business elsewhere.

Theres been complaints about your body odour problem..take a towel and use deodourent and there be no problem.
