option 1 - adidas track suits (red, white, black or blue) with sleeveless tee or tank. wear some shoes that 'go' with it... no red pants and red shoes.. red shoes, blue track pants OK.... white ghock (although I wear my 50mm Uboat's mostly, or panerai)

option 2 - navy pin suit (or at least just the slacks) with white dress shirt and a decent tie... none of that skinny tie bullshit, with oxblood cap-toe rockports, matching belt, and brown strap IWC or Tag (or black, just make sure they match). Black peacoat/topcoat.

option 3 - Jeans... whatever fits you.. none of that baggy hip-hop shit.. you life weights, so you should have quads and an ass.. women should be able to tell that... black short sleeve fitted button-up. black Rockport loafers/slip-ons, black belt... black peacoat/topcoat if needed... you're an adult, leave the leather jackets alone. black strap Panerai.

I have incredible taste in clothes, which is rarely supported by my financial situation. Furthermore, when I shop at high end stores, they don't carry clothes in my size. Usually, all the good stuff is in twink sizes.

I have resorted to Lands End , LL Bean and other mainstream clothiers for decent clothes as of late...back to the basics.

What works to a degree is having clothes made to fit from scratch measurements. Altered ready-to-wear is never going to fit a big guy well.

Truth. I need the waist taken in, lowered, and I alter the shape of the crotch. Needs to fit my crotch snugly for display purposes. That tends to cost more than the trousers themselves.

You are right, taking in and lowering the waist is easier than redoing the shape of the crotch. Smaller dudes pants have a shorter crotch. I have made pants from scratch for friends in the past. This is far easier and the results far better than taking pants in. Years ago, one could get a suit custom tailored from Sears at a reasonable price. Like I said, that was years ago. I doubt you can do that today.
