I will say 81 is my favorite. Even though Zane, Coe and Mentzer boycotted the Olympia that year, it was the best ever condition for Platz, Padilla, Callendar and Dickerson. Even Franco was in great shape aside from the bitch tit. Wilcoxjcx Fuller and Tinnerino were all in their best shape too.

83 is my second favorite year.

80. Without a doubt. 4 Mr O's- either past, present or future. Multiple multiple Mr Universe winners.

Respectfully, unlikey. The product was not available until late October 1985 and even then it was prohibitively expensive and highly controlled.

*Twenty-five years ago, on October 18, 1985, Genentech received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to market its first product, a growth hormone for children with growth hormone deficiency. It was the first recombinant biotech drug to be manufactured and marketed by a biotechnology company.  (Article published in Oct 2010.)

I think 88 was the best for quantity and quality, you had a lot of great posing routines as well, but 81 "could" have been unreal if you had the top WABBA guys in it like Sergio,Nubret,Robby,Bertil,Kal,all the guys in the 81 WABBA World would have been at the top of the placings in the olympia that year.If not for politics, there would have been some great contests.

1980 was the "swan-song" of the 1970's, and after the 1982 contest, the 70's era was over.

Agreed 1988 Mr Olympia was awesome the start of the show was something else (for the times) one bye one being introduced under the spot light too Micheal Gaspari's "destiny" 8) 8) 8), the 1985 show was excellent as well, the combination of Lighting, and the Physiques being in excellent shape was awesome
