Silva was out. His heart never seemed in it. He seemed tired. Just like Matt Hughes was.

this would be a good excuse, if he was banging ana paula before the fight.

Yes, he volunteered to have his head bounced up and down on the canvas from punches while being unconsciouses. It's worth more money than the money you get from winning the fight  ::)

Did you even watch the video?

Anderson states the best outcome would be for Weidman to win the fight, that he doesn't want to be champion anymore.

That video makes no sense at all and just makes me feel happier that he got knocked out.

No, but he lost the fire to be champ. He's just going to KO scrubs in highlight reel fashion for his last 10 fights and retire as the GOAT.

Anyone that knows anything about the fight game here knows that this was a real KO.
Anderson has done the same kind of defense (and head games) in previous fights and made guys look foolish chasing after him.  It doesn't always work, just takes 1 good shot from a tough opponent.  That's why coaches never advocate this style, no matter how much talent the fighter has.  Anderson said he had a very good training camp and prepared for 4 months...you don't do that to throw a fight.  He hasn't lost in 16 fights so some of his post fight comments were strange, he was probably shocked as well.  People just aren't used to seeing such a great fighter get caught.  It happens.
Hats off to Weidman for a great performance and excellent composure.
They should fight again.

Does Weidman normally come out to a fight draped in the American flag?

That was my point.  Anderson isn't just clowning, he's trying to bait his opponent to exchange.  People don't want their supermen revealed to be human.

nothing like getting your jaw separated from your skull on purpose just to prove you were tired of being the champ

The amazing thing is that he is 38 and moves faster than everyone in the weight class.  I didn't see him slowing in that fight, just too much bullshit and Weidman kept his composure.  For the folks saying Silva didn't want it or is tired...you say that because of his responses after the fight, when he was probably more stunned than the rest of us...and his pride was hurt.  The dodging and weaving is part of his game plan and mental game, agree but it is also his confidence & arrogance (plus it works often for him).  Definitely want to see them fight again.  I cannot say Weidman is a better fighter than Silva, but on Saturday he was.
