President Joe Biden accidentally fell over on stage Thursday as he attended the U.S. Air Force Academy graduation.

Video footage shows Biden, wearing a suit and ball cap, walking happily across the stage when suddenly he trips to the ground.

Several secret service members immediately run over to help assist the president.

Biden was walking off the stage when he appeared to have tripped on a sandbag. Biden was later seen motioning to the sandbags after he was helped to his feet. Biden walked away unassisted. Twitter users were quick to react to the fall, with Outkick’s Clay Travis calling it “elder abuse.”

One Twitter user, Jason Howerton, said “I wish we could just let this man retire and spend time with his grandkids.”

ACT for America founder and chairman Brigitte Gabriel tweeted “it’s time to invoke the 25th Amendment.”

Prior to his fall, Biden thanked the graduated for choosing “service over self,” according to the Associated Press (AP).

“Graduates, you made a noble choice to lead a life of service,” Biden said at the graduation, which was held in Colorado. “Now you also shoulder a great privilege and a mighty responsibility.”

President Joe Biden tripped on a sandbag and fell as he completed handing out diplomas at the US Air Force Academy commencement in Colorado on Thursday.

Biden appeared fine afterward, walking without assistance to his seat in the stands. He was seen smiling and jogging toward his vehicle at the ceremony’s conclusion.

The White House said the president was fine after the fall and he later joked about it, yelling “I got sandbagged!” to reporters after stepping off Marine One Thursday evening.

The stumble began as Biden was jogging away from center stage, where he earlier delivered a commencement address to the academy’s graduates. He spent more than 90 minutes handing out diplomas and congratulating hundreds of cadets.

President Biden's officials reportedly "leave him alone" as often as they can on the weekends and tend to adjust his schedule to avoid tiring "an aging president," according to the New York Times.

The outlet reported that officials have said they try to leave the president alone on weekends and tend to schedule all public appearances between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m.

A Democrat who chose to remain anonymous told the New York Times that Biden's age was a popular discussion topic among prominent members of the party.

The Biden administration is working on preparing plans to evacuate Americans in Taiwan, The Messenger reported Monday.

The federal government’s plans have been in the works for at least six months, according to The Messenger, which cited three sources with knowledge of the plans. Anticipation of a possible Chinese invasion of Taiwan has been mounting as China’s military encroachment of waters and airspace has heated up in recent months.

The planning has “heated up over the past two months or so” due to “heightened level of tension,” a senior U.S. intelligence official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because he wasn’t authorized to discuss the planning, told The Messenger. The source said that the plans have been motivated by “forces building up” and “China aligning with Russia on Ukraine.”

“There is but one China in the world, Taiwan is an inalienable part of China’s territory, and the Government of the People’s Republic of China is the sole legal government representing the whole of China,” China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs declared in August.

The planning has been kept under wraps due to sensitivity, one source told The Messenger.

“Even talking about an [evacuation plan] starts people thinking something may be going on even if it is just prudent planning,” a former State Department official said, according to The Messenger.

An evacuation of Americans from Taiwan couldn’t be done without challenges, according to The Messenger, citing one source who said “the physical geography of Taiwan is a big factor.” The plans are still in the works, including how to navigate the challenging mountainous geography.
