like in any riot or mass protests in any country it brings out the scum of the country and the criiminals, NOT for the most part the decent citizens who are the ones who really should be upset about how their country is run.

scenes like these just give these bad elements the opportunity to commit more evil acts surrounded by mass number of people in the "name of protests against something".

here in the u.s. you can see it in every major city when a team whens the nba championship or the super bowl or what have you.

here in the u.s. you could have seen it with the whole o.j. crap

are the decent citizens turning over cars, torching and looting? of course not.

then again, whose to blame the reporter for thinking with her camera crew she could go into a country that is by the way treats women worse than cattle into a mob like that and 'get the story?!" or her bosses who told her to do so and she has a job to do?!

None of the American Journalists should have been there.. CNN and other affiliates have journalists from those countries, which this incident would not have happened. Stupid news chasing journalists trying to make a name for themselves and wanting their name out on TV. Now her name is on TV for the wrong reason.

sort of the thing happens near where i live.

theres a university adjacent to a really bad neighborhood, and you get all these naive young whiteys that think its exaggerated because of racism, they go into the bad parts alone or with women (usually to buy pot) because think the area and people arent so bad...they wise up quickly after their house is robbed, they get mugged and beaten, or their girlfriend gets raped.
