Threads constantly getting merged/renamed/tampered with?
« on: September 20, 2017, 06:13:18 AM »
I've noticed multiple posters complaining about this, and there is a trail of evidence (of sorts) because the individual posts retain the name of the topic they were originally posted under. Is there an official ruling on the matter? Are we supposed to refrain from making new threads if there is another recent one regarding the same basic topic?

We also know that topics are removed on the athlete's request, without question. With Getbig being known as a filter-free medium, it is somewhat ironic. Regardless, some clarification would be nice, as it is causing a lot of unnecessary confusion.

If you're talking about a specific subject, common sense would be to reply to existing thread on the matter.

Makes no sense to have multiple threads on the same thing.

Spend some time reading, before jumping the gun and starting new threads.

I've noticed to the renaming of threads. Why? And the merging as well. It just confuses everything. The mods turn a blind eye to racism and pedo comments but have time for this nonsense.

It is a mixture of both - I am the only one that usually renames or merges threads.

Reasons are obvious - because when you have the same type of thread, it is better to merge them, hence the same topics under three threads, especially if they fall over to a different page, aka Rise of the Footsoldier topics, or Olympia Phil Heath topics (six of them the same thing).

Easier to concentrate them together then having all of them all over the place

I don't delete content unless it is plain harassment or stupidity, but tend to merge them of they are the same topics, etc
