This is the reason a person should always WAIT until they have all of the details of an event/claim/situation before opening their mouths. The first thing that should have been done is a RAPE TEST on this little lying BITCH...That would have immediately informed everyone including the courts that this tramp was lying. No scarring, no semen, no scratches, no broken fingernails, no marks... NOTHING and right away the idiot police and court system are arresting someone on the world of someone else. To make matters worst this little bitch has already learned to "PLAY THE GAME" at an early age. What kind of lies will she be telling at 21? Who will she end up making claims against then? Hopefully someone will put a bullet in her head the next time she does some crap like this...shameful

Football Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor Indicted on Rape Charges
Published June 23, 2010
Associated Press

NEW YORK -- Pro football Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor was indicted Wednesday by a suburban New York grand jury on charges of third-degree rape and patronizing a prostitute.

The indictment follows his May 6 arrest at a Holiday Inn in Ramapo, New York, where prosecutors say he paid a 16-year-old girl $300 to have sex with him.

Taylor had been charged previously in Ramapo Town Court, but the indictment transfers the case to Rockland County. He is scheduled to appear July 13.

The former New York Giants linebacker also was indicted on charges of endangering the welfare of a child, and sexual abuse and criminal sexual act in the third degree. He faces up to four years in prison if convicted. He has denied the charges.

Rockland County District Attorney Thomas Zugibe said the 16-year-old told investigators that she had been verbally threatened and physically assaulted by a pimp who drove her 26 miles north to the hotel where Taylor was waiting.

"One of the most effective ways to target prostitution is to go after the johns," Zugibe said. "This indictment underscores our serious commitment to prosecuting those defendants who create a market for the region's growing sex trade."

Taylor's attorney reiterated his client's innocence Wednesday.

"Mr. Taylor and his legal team made a strategic decision not to present any evidence to the grand jury, including him testifying or any witnesses in his defense," said defense attorney Arthur Aidala.

The evidence includes sworn testimony by a 23-year-old woman who says she accompanied the accused pimp and the 16-year-old girl to the hotel where Taylor was staying. She said Taylor did not rape the girl. The teenager returned to the car with $300 in cash and said: "It was weird ... we didn't even have sex."

The statement was given to investigators working for the defense team and seen by The Associated Press on the condition she not be identified.

Taylor's longtime business manager, Mark Lepselter, said they were looking forward to the legal process "and Lawrence being able to move forward with his life."

A federal criminal complaint filed against the accused pimp, Rasheed Davis, recounts the victim's version of events and makes no mention of a third person in the vehicle at the time of his arrest in the Bronx. Davis has been charged in federal court with sex trafficking.

Authorities said the teen did not know whom she was meeting at the hotel room. The girl sent text messages to her uncle saying she was in trouble, police said. He called the NYPD, who arrested the suspected pimp once he returned to the Bronx with the teenager. The girl provided information about the hotel.

Taylor anchored the Giants' defense and led them to Super Bowl titles in 1987 and 1991. He was selected to the NFL's 75th Anniversary All-time Team.

A 10-time Pro Bowler, he was the NFL's MVP in 1986 and Defensive Player of the Year in 1981, 1982 and 1986.

The weight-loss company NutriSystem Inc. dropped Taylor as a spokesman because of his arrest.

Taylor pleads not guilty to rape charge
By Jane McManus
ESPNNewYork.com

NEW CITY, N.Y. -- Former Giants linebacker Lawrence Taylor entered a plea of not guilty Tuesday morning in a Rockland County Court to charges of statutory rape and solicitation stemming from a May 6 arrest in a New York hotel.

The rape case against Lawrence Taylor, shown on his way into court Tuesday with his wife Lynette, will continue next month. His attorney said the case is headed for trial in 2011.
Holding his wife Lynette's hand as he walked to a waiting car after the hearing, Taylor was asked if he looked forward to his day in court.

"Hopefully it don't go that far," the 51-year-old Taylor said.

Taylor is accused of soliciting a prostitute in a case involving a 16-year-old runaway. According to prosecutors, the alleged victim was able to lead police back to Taylor's hotel room in Suffern. The man alleged to be the girl's pimp also has been charged with unlawful imprisonment, assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

Taylor's attorney, Arthur Aidala, disputes the claims against his client, and said the case is proceeding as he expected.

In the gallery, before his case was called, Taylor smiled, looked around and said, "It must be a slow news day." He also said to a friend, "You're not playing golf today, are you?"

After the plea was entered, Rockland County District Attorney Patricia Gunning asked for a six-month extension of the order of protection first issued, to keep Taylor away from the alleged victim identified as C.F. As he did in the first court appearance in May, Aidala protested the order.

"It is Mr. Taylor's position that this person is an absolute stranger to him and he doesn't know who this person is," Aidala said.

"Then he should stay away from this person he doesn't know," the judge in the case, William Nelson, said as he granted the extension.

After some wrangling, Aidala had Taylor sign the order. The next court date is set for Aug. 3, but the Hall of Fame linebacker won't have to appear again until Aug. 24. Aidala said the case is on track for trial in the winter, and the next few months will be used to examine the case against Taylor, in terms of physical evidence, how he was identified and the statement he made the night he was arrested.

Aidala plans to challenge the evidence against Taylor. Aidala said Taylor would challenge the girl's identification of him. Aidala also said the defense would look into whether all statements made in the case were voluntary.

"A plea bargain is possible at any time in any case," he said in response to questions. But in this case, "There is no plea bargain. There is no offer."

Even if Taylor did not know the age of the girl, New York state does not recognize this as a defense in such cases. Aidala has said that there will be evidence presented that will bolster Taylor's side of the story. Aidala would not detail the way he plans to defend Taylor.

"We are getting more and more evidence coming in literally on a daily basis, so our strategies and our theories continue to develop," Aidala said.

One potential witness is a 23-year-old woman who told defense investigators that she heard the girl say after meeting Taylor, "It was weird. ... We didn't even have sex."

Mark Lepselter, Taylor's longtime friend and agent, said Taylor has been deeply affected by the charges. If convicted, Taylor would face four years in prison.

"He's been very subdued for the past two months from the day back in May," Lepselter said. "I haven't seen him like this. Mentally he's trying to get through it."

Bail in the amount of $75,000 was continued, and the court is still in possession of Taylor's passport.

The court was prepared for an influx of media, which included local media outlets and national tabloids like TMZ. The small courtroom could not fit all the reporters who attended the hearing. Cameras were not allowed, but a court sketch artist was present.

Taylor was dropped off in a black SUV at 8:58 for the 9:30 a.m. hearing. He was wearing an olive blazer, black slacks and a diamond earring in his left ear. As he was asked questions simultaneously, including one query as to whether he was guilty, Taylor turned and replied, "No, grow up."

Taylor led the Giants to Super Bowl titles in 1987 and 1991. He was the National Football League's MVP in 1986 and Defensive Player of the Year in 1981, 1982 and 1986. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1999.

Lawrence Taylor seeks dismissal in NY rape case
By Associated Press
Tuesday, December 7, 2010

NEW CITY, N.Y. — Pro football great Lawrence Taylor says the rape indictment against him should be dismissed because police did not have a warrant when they arrested him.

In a wide-ranging motion, Taylor’s lawyer is seeking to at least suppress any statements Taylor made when he was arrested and to rule out any evidence taken from him.

Taylor, 51, was expected in court Tuesday, when state Supreme Court Justice William Kelly could discuss and rule on the motion.

The former NFL MVP is accused of having sex with a 16-year-old prostitute in a suburban New York hotel room in May. He allegedly paid the Bronx runaway $300. He has pleaded not guilty to third-degree rape, patronizing a prostitute, sexual abuse and endangering a child.

Defense attorney Arthur Aidala’s motion alleges that Taylor’s arrest violated his rights. It says he was "alone, sleeping in his hotel room" when police entered without a warrant and without his permission.

Rockland County prosecutors were expected to address the motion Tuesday. The district attorney’s response motion was due last week but the office said Monday it was not available.

Aidala’s motion asks the judge to dismiss the indictment, suppress all evidence, suppress any Taylor statements, prohibit the identification of Taylor at trial and prohibit any cross-examination of Taylor about any "past crimes or bad acts." It also asks the judge to examine the grand jury minutes because Taylor believes that will show "the illegality and insufficency of the evidence."

Court papers in a related case say Taylor admitted to sex acts with the girl but was told she was 19.

Such a sweeping motion, known as an "omnibus" motion, is often used early in a case by a defense team to learn as much about the prosecution’s evidence as possible.

Taylor, who led the New York Giants to Super Bowl titles in 1987 and 1991, was arrested May 6 after the girl’s uncle contacted New York City police. Officers from Ramapo woke him at a Holiday Inn in Montebello.

The motion says police "did not have a warrant based on probable cause to either arrest Mr. Taylor or conduct a search and seizure" and that the circumstances did not allow entry without a warrant.

"No lives were in danger, nor was the defendant’s escape imminent," it says.

Aidala claims that makes any seizure of property improper and anything Taylor said to a public official inadmissible, even if he was read his rights.

After the previous court session in October, Aidala said the case would probably go to trial but he would likely listen to any plea agreement offered by the prosecution.

There's no false accusation, if the girl was 15 when he was screwing her. That's statutory rape and he can get put away, whether the girl consents or not.

Tell Bum - he's the one who brought up the false allegation canard when I asked him to explain the political relevence of this thread.

::) ::)

Prostitution is a political issue.  A potentially false rape allegation is a political issue.  Age of consent is a political issue.

But nice try.   ::)

His point was that either one was a political issue. Isn't there an issue, regarding how old this girl was? 15 vs. 16?

If it's the former, LT is screwed because it's rape, one way or the other.

If it's the latter, LT has a case and could beat the rape charge, if 16 is the legal age of sexual consent.

The charge is STATUTORY RAPE. So, the issue of force is IRRELEVANT, as legally she doesn't have the ability to consent to sexual activity. Nonconsensual sex = RAPE, pure and simple.

It has a bit of it, because there are people who think the age on consent laws should be lowered. But those are more on the state and local level.

Indeed!! The other political issue, as far as guys going to jail is concerned, is underage females who lie about their age.

Let's face it. There are 15 and 16-year-old girls with 22-year-old bodies.

Lawrence Taylor to plead guilty
By Jane McManus
ESPNNewYork.com

Hall of Fame linebacker Lawrence Taylor is expected to plead guilty to two misdemeanor charges in court Thursday, stemming from a May 6 arrest for felony statutory rape.

The recommended sentence is six years' probation. He could receive up to two years in jail, although his attorney, Arthur Aidala, said he believes Taylor will not get jail time.

Taylor plans to plead guilty to one count of soliciting a prostitute and a second count of sexual misconduct in having sex with a woman without consent. Since the victim in the case was 16, by law she was not old enough to give consent.

In New York, ignorance of a person's age is not a defense against statutory rape. The age of consent in New York is 17.

Taylor also faces a sexual offender hearing, which most likely will occur in a few months. This hearing is to determine if he must register as a sex offender.

Taylor was arrested early in the morning of May 6 at a Holiday Inn in Montebello, N.Y. Police said they were led to his hotel room by a 16-year-old runaway who had allegedly been forced into prostitution by Rasheed Davis.

Davis pleaded not guilty to charges of sex trafficking, while Taylor pleaded not guilty to charges of third-degree rape, patronizing a prostitute and endangering the welfare of a child. The rape charge carried a maximum of four years in jail.

At the time of the incident, Ramapo town supervisor Christopher St. Lawrence alleged that Taylor paid her $300 for sex. Taylor posted the $75,000 bail later that day.

Aidala on Dec. 8 asked Rockland County Judge William Kelly to dismiss the charges on grounds that Taylor's fourth amendment rights were violated when the hotel room was searched upon his arrest. Physical evidence, including condoms, was recovered in the search. Kelly denied the request.

Taylor led the Giants to two Super Bowl titles, in 1987 and 1991. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1999.

Rockland County prosecutor Arthur Ferraro said on Dec. 8 that Taylor had been offered a plea deal which included six months in jail and 10 years' probation if he pled guilty to a felony, but he also would have needed to register as a sex offender. At the time, Aidala said the terms were unacceptable.

And it's done.  Probation.

Lawrence Taylor pleads guilty
By Jane McManus
ESPNNewYork.com

Hall of Fame linebacker Lawrence Taylor pled guilty to two misdemeanor charges in court Thursday, stemming from a May 6 arrest for felony statutory rape. He will be sentenced to six years' probation but must register as a sex offender.

He also was ordered to pay $1,300 in fees.

Taylor, who was dressed in black from head to toe, pled guilty to one count of soliciting a prostitute and a second count of sexual misconduct in having sex with a woman without consent. Since the victim in the case was 16, by law she was not old enough to give consent.

Taylor's Highs, Lows

As Giants Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor's troubles off the field continue, ESPNNewYork.com takes a look back. Photo gallery

In court, under oath, Taylor admitted that he had sex with a 16-year-old and he said that he was aware that results of a DNA test identified him.

"She told me she was 19," Taylor said in court.

Sentencing is March 22. That same day, state Supreme Court Justice William Kelly will determine what level of sex offender status Taylor will have.

Taylor's attorney, Arthur Aidala, said he would seek to have Taylor's probation transferred to Florida, where the former player now lives.

An order of protection against Taylor also was renewed. Aidala protested the order of protection, arguing that the girl was a stranger to Taylor.

Aidala said the sex-offender status was non-negotiable but made it clear that Taylor wasn't a sexual predator and would not be labeled as such.

Prosecutor Patricia Gunning said the plea deal was acceptable in part because Taylor had assisted in investigations into human trafficking since he was charged.

"Lawrence Taylor was the end user in the market that creates more [sex traffickers]," Gunning said. "They need to be held accountable. It's a long fall from grace."

Another prosecutor, Arthur Ferraro, said outside court that Taylor "was of assistance in the field of human trafficking in several jurisdictions and with federal authorities."

Taylor did not speak to reporters after the proceedings.

"He could have taken a much more aggressive road but he decided it was in the best interest of he and his family and the young woman to put this behind him," Aidala said.

Taylor's business manager, Marc Lepselter, said that "sometimes in life you have to make the best of a tough situation. I think that's apropos in this case."

"Unfortunately in a lot of ways, this extinguished the positive strides he has made since 1998," Lepselter said. "I'm proud of how he handed it. I'm hopeful he'll be able to go forward from this point."

Harry Carson, his former teammate and fellow Hall of Famer, was in the courtroom and gave Taylor a supportive greeting when he arrived.

"I've always seen a distinction between Lawrence Taylor and L.T.," Carson said.

"The whole L.T. persona, to me that's an act," Carson said. "I'm here for Lawrence Taylor. I'm not here for L.T. ... Once he went through some of the stuff he went through, he realized that was a hindrance to himself and his family."

In New York, ignorance of a person's age is not a defense against statutory rape. The age of consent in New York is 17.

Taylor was arrested early in the morning of May 6 at a Holiday Inn in Montebello, N.Y. Police said they were led to his hotel room by a 16-year-old runaway who had allegedly been forced into prostitution by Rasheed Davis.

He can kiss what's left of his money goodbye, especially in Florida. His wife will take him to the cleaners.
