wikileaks

this is from what really happened

Quote
*'Last week, the Department of Homeland Security seized the domain names of roughly 70 websites for copyright infringement. There were no warrants, no court orders, and no court hearings before a judge. The DHS simply used their authority to grab websites on the basis they are perceived threats.

So, if WikiLeaks is really exposing dangerous classified diplomatic cables that are a threat to the United States, why didn't DHS seize the WikiLeaks domain? Assange was dropping hints of a major leak to come. If WikiLeaks was a real whistleblower, DHS could shut them down by grabbing their domain name just as easily as it shut down the copyright violators.

But they didn't.

There is no other possible explanation for DHS not to seize the domain as a real threat, especially since Assange was not shy about dropping hints as to what was to come!

WikiLeaks is a propaganda front.'

DHS can not do that to domains outside of america, however they can block internet traffic from the servers in other nations, so if the desire was to stop Wikileaks they could have. Same way China, Saudi Arabia or Russia blocks american websites. Truthfully this whole Wikileaks thing in my opinion is another distraction.

What I find odd however is those who wish him harm or jail time FOR REVEALING THE TRUTH. Imagine you went to see a doctor about stomach pains which he discovered was CANCER, but decided he did not want to tell you because he didn't want that information known to you. With that information you could have sought treatment cured and avoided death, but because you were denied info you succumbed to the disease. In politics this type of information is how a nation brings about CHANGE in itself...so truthfully america does not want you to know anything, because that would mean the possibility of changing your government to cater to the needs and desire of the people as it should....

Every country has their secrets that must be kept.  I don't wish this man dead but he must realize that any country would not want this to happen and there may be consequences.   I think most americans understand for reasons of politics and security that secrets must be kept.

yeah, every country does whatever it takes to protect their citizens and their nations interest.  This guy publishing the info can get americans killed and hurt our diplomatic relationships.  If some country was spying and publishing our info, we'd be ready to declare war (or at least do soemthing covert to settle them down).

240 did you think at all before posting this? Did you take into consideration the state america is in now of its own doing? Do you realize that long before Wiki americas so called diplomatic relations were long DEAD with the rest of the world? What I hear in your comment is the same tripe spewed on the MSM networks and bobble head reporters and politicians. You should all be cheering that Assange revealed these EVILS america is doing, because it should be grounds for getting rid of every last politician in your government. Instead you and Ozzy are talking about national interests and protecting citizens? YOUR COUNTRY COULD GIVE A DAMN ABOUT ITS CITIZENS and so far as national interests...WHAT NATIONAL INTEREST? The only interest you have is what is OVERDUE on your debt.

So far as spying goes...you can believe Russia, China, Europe, Japan and even Israhell know everything there is to know about america...so no secrets gathered in that realm. You guys really need to refocus, because as long as your visions blurry as it is NOTHING will change in america and it will soon be a memory like Babylon, Egypt, Assyria, Persians, Medes, Greece and Rome. All of these nations/empires fell in the same way America is falling by IGNORING REALITY,  CAUGHT IN GREED, APATHY, SIMPLE MINDED CITIZENRY AND DELUSIONED.

Not true,

All countires give a dam about their citizens otherwise they don't get tax revenue to exist.

Yeah, all coutnires are greedy, the more they get the more they make the more powerful they become.  And we are dam good at it.  And if you think you don't live in a coutry that feels the same way I got excellent swamp land in Florida for you.

Pure Idealism goes out the window when reality enters the room.

I realize you lie awake at night wishing, hoping and praying for Americas demise, but it won't happen in your lifetime. Sorry.  Probably never will happen because of our location.
