the only two little lies in these adds :

1- Girls don't admire/find hot " muscle headz at the beach as much as guys do ...

2- The protein powders they were promoting can't make you look like they do no matter how much you take them .

Even today there is something special about Arnold’s physique, he looked super healthy with clean skin and no bloating around the belly. It must be something to do with the drugs at the time, maybe because they were all prescription so they had way less side effects. You never really see “that look” today. Although the bodybuilders today don’t train nearly as hard.

It has to do also with the amounts and combos of the drugs then vs. now.

Beach tanning, salt water, Germanic heritage. Very clean drugs used. I don't ever remember seeing a acne blemish on Arnold's skin. No gyno or hair loss either.

In 1969 Joe wanted to sell his gym for $50,000. From pictures in those days how many guys who trained there actually paid a membership? That is why Joe told Arnold to buy real estate. Good advice.
