Title: Which diet is the best for fat loss..
Post by: 225for70 on March 18, 2011, 05:26:50 PM
Which diet do you guys think would be the best for quickest fat loss, and be the best for conserving muscle composition..

All the diets are 2000 calories....give or take a calorie there..

IMO i would go with C first. I'm a believer in low carbs, and keeping insulin levels the hardest...Protein levels are moderate..Excess protein converts into glucose, which can slow a ketogenic diet.

This diet will be keep for 2 months..

Johhy sometimes if you want to have epic leans your going to have to feel like shit while dieting..

But yes Choas, the zone is the most practical if your lifting weights. However, do you think that fat loss will be hindered a lot as opposed to the keto diets?

No, you need the carbs/energy for weightlifting, the overall calories is what will effect fatloss.

what happens when you low carb it like that, youll naturally compensate by eating double or triple the amounts of nuts and fats

the only way to acheive epic leans is through dehydration. the times i look my best were throuugh combining dieting and dehydration,

Best Diet? - The one you can stick to.

I'd go Zone, it offers a bit of wiggle room as far as what you can eat, and that's important.

I've been reading Alan Aragon's book on dieting and he lists lots of studies relevant to this subject.  The conclusion is, basically, low carb has a slight advantage for weight loss (over a balanced diet like "zone") in almost all the studies, but the difference is so minor it's basically negligible.  I'm talking like, studies that put people on diets for six months and the low carb participants lost an average of < 5 lbs more than the balanced people.

I wouldn't recommend low carb based on my personal experience either.  So far my weight loss has been going great and I've just been following wavelength's diet guide.  If I cut out all carbs I'm certain I would feel terrible and my workouts would undoubtedly suffer.

16 Hour fast is too long, but basically this is correct.

It's not about macros, it's about food choices.  Zone with bread, whey, and margarine will yield a lot worse result physiquewise, healthwise, and food volumewise than zone with veggies, beans, whole grains, fish, meats, etc.

I know this because I've just done the opposite.  Been working my ass off and living on take away and look like complete shit, so you know you can trust my advice(s).

I think that the crazy keto diet is the best for fat loss by far...However, lifting weights will have to be kept "minimal" Like 1-3 sets per body-parts per week.

It's not all you can eat..I did this diet for 3 weeks, and i lost pretty much all my fat that i had accumulated after bulking for 8 weeks..

However, the stress on the organs seems high, and one wouldn't want to do it to long.

I had to use Morton Lite Salt as a supplement daily.

Taking in less calories than you burn at least 5 days a week. Don't give a rats ass what you eat.

Hell, eat the rats ass, prolly only has a few calories in it.. and tastes good, like Getbig ass.

I would go with the second one - the zone diet - you'll probably not lose fat as quick as you'd like but at least with the moderate carb and relatively high protein intake you won't sacrifice muscle mass in the process. Just manipulate the carb intake depending on how quick or slow you are seeing results.

Food: Again, typical of Nazi death camps, the diet of inmates at Jasenovac was insufficient to sustain life: The sorts of food they consumed changed during the camp's existence. In camp Brocice, inmates were given a "soup" made of hot water with starch for breakfast, and beans for lunch and dinner (served at 6:00, 12:00 and 21:00).[40] Food in Camp No. III was initially better, consisting of potatoes instead of beans; however, in January[when?] the diet was changed to a single daily serving of thin "turnip soup".[41] By the end of the year, the diet had been changed again, to three daily portions of thin gruel made of water and starch.[42] Food changed repeatedly thereafter.

honestly, I would go with a Paleo type/ CKD diet.

I think a good 16 week plan would be High Fats, Low/No Carbs, High Protein for weeks 1-12 then during weeks 13-16 follow the same diet BUT incorporate a ONE cheat meal per week.  Then, fast the day after said cheat meal

combine that diet with real cardio (no of that slow steady low intensity bullshit) and you'll be ripped.....like Clarence bass ripped

175 C 700 cals
200 P 800cals
50 F 500cals
Total 2000 cals

Incorrect.

The correct answer is -

200 Carbs - 1200 (Mostly from ice cream, chunky kit kats, etc)
0 protein
100 fat - 900 (again, mostly from ice cream, chunky kit kats, etc)

I got this from the legendary fat panda diary, there you go boys, a calorie is a calorie, go and watch that fat melt off!

I think you really dont have to have a diet where you eat " certain foods " that have LESS fats, carbs, etc.........OBVIOUSLY, if you cut down on your fat/carb intake youll loose weight BUT............when it comes down to it, its all about PORTION size, or CUT DOWN how many MEALS you eat a day. If you eat the basic 6 meals a day, cut it in half.........3 meals, with a SHAKE as your postworkout/4th meal or however you want to do it or stick with the 6 meals, just have Smaller portion sizes for each meal.
