Man, the 70's have past, today bodybuilding is judged much more stringently.  In the 70's extremely low bodyfat levels weren't expected and weren't a big part of the judging process.  Today, with a lot of the guys being similar in shape and size, conditioning can be the determing factor between 1st and 10th place.  I have never seen a bodybuilding video were their was a close up of a butthole, what video was that.  Aren't you being a little dramatic.  The majority of people dont get bodybuilding anyway, regardless of wether the glutes are exposed or not.  Why are you trying to force bodybuilding on to your friends and family.  Who cares if others dont accept it.

Personally, I feel comfortable looking at the human body, no matter who is around.  Period.  I would never work for a man who would fire somebody for looking at the human body.  The things you are saying seem really strange to me, I would never show anybody bodybuilding pics unless they were interested in the sport, I am not bodybuildings salesman.  It is something I enjoy, and that is enough.  My family know that I follow bodybuilding and have no problem with it.  Why should they, I have work colleagues who play Australian Rules Football on the weekend, Personally, I find all this a little gay, they pat each other on the bum, shower naked together and spend a great deal of time socialising amongst themselves and generally trying to project a macho image.  What other people do with their spare time is of no interest to me, and I dont try and force my interests onto others.

Female breasts are just as sexually stimulating as buttocks and female bodybuilders develop the underlying pec muscles to an extreme degree, so, again, by your argument, female bodybuilders should drop the tops and show off their pecs.  Ain't going to happen.  

The IFBB, NPC, etc., should just mandate a posing trunks size limit.  Gaining some mainstream legitimacy can only bring in more spectators and, hence, more money for the bodybuilding as a business.

And you are posting on a bodybuilding forum Why?  Who's suggesting going around looking at mens buttocks as a hobby.  To judge a physique you cant ignore some of its parts because you feel uncomfortable.  It appears you have a strange fixation on buttholes and not muscle groups.  Bodybuilding does unfortunately attract a lot of weirdos like yourself who can not see it in a detached manner.  To evaluate a bodybuilder you must remain detached, do you think a surgeon gets aroused when operating on buttocks or genitalia. I do not why everyone wants the mainstream to approve of bodybuilding, that neediness shows a great deal of insecurity and immaturity.  No body is judging the bodyfat levels in a mans ass, it is an indicator of overall conditioning, the same way as having low body fat levels in the lower back is.  Who cars how many fans there are?, bodybuilding has had a consistent following for over forty years.  The reason people dont compete naked is because the penis is not a muscle, it is an organ.  Also society would not allow it, I find it strange that people who have such an issue with the human body would be attracted to such a pursuit as bodybuilding.  Who cares if kids across the country know anything about the IFBB, what has that got to do with anything!  The connection you draw between bodybuilding and the gay porn industry is ridiculous, their may be a few bodybuilders who participate in porn, but people from all spectrum's of society participate in porn, either by being in it or watching it.  The fact that you become so upset by the whole issue shows some deep seated emotional issues.  The fact that you are turned off by a mans ass shows that you are looking at it in a sexual way, IMO to judge the human body you need to be able to remove the sexual element and observe it objectively, to me judging physiques in bodybuilding terms has no sexual element whatsoever.  If that aspect of bodybuilding annoys you so much, go take up golf.
