I admire the hell out of them for sticking with their ideals. My only Q is, what happens if Romney wins the nomination? Do they loosen their stance?

Free Republic founder Jim Robinson has a message for supporters of Mitt Romney: go away.
In an email to POLITICO this afternoon, Robinson admitted that the site routinely blocks Romney supporters from posting -- and offered no apologies for the practice:
Free Republic is a pro-life, pro-family, pro-gun, pro-small government, pro-constitution, pro-liberty site. Governor Romney is none of the above. His record is that of an abortionist, gay rights pushing, gun grabbing, global warming advocating, big government, mandate loving, constitution trampling, flip-flopping liberal progressive with no core values. That and the fact that he is the chief architect and advocate for ObamaCare disqualifies him for any consideration whatsoever on Free Republic as a potential nominee for the presidency.

I lasted a week at DU. I posted on the wall street stuff with summers and getihner and got banned.
I got banned from HP for trashing Mobacca on a threat about her fashion sense. i deserved it. I trolled that shit so hard those people were pissed!
FR I avoid the threads about MR now. I stick to the obama and economy threads.

i guess i just can't understand why people would want to debate in a place where they only let 1 side of the argument be heard. What is there to debate about?
Is it just a pile on, "me too" and "yeah, bro!" kinda thing?
My favorite part of getbig is that you have far left, far right, and moderates - all in the same place. It gets heated, but all sides of the issues are addressed. I can't imagine a place where all the posts are "wow, that cain issue is weak, let's ignore it"....

I like FR because of the news articles that get posted. Its an incredible resource.

The one on michelle Obama was far too tempting to resist. The lemmings were gushing over her in some stupid dress blah blah and I posted a bunch of posts before the mods got to them saying she looked a whale, looked like a mess, etc and there was a wholesale meltdown and i got banned.

The point I was making is that as pathetic as your life appears for posting nonstop on here - including weekends and holidays - (and it looks pretty fucking pathetic) - you only make yourself look even worse by continuing your little posting spree on other boards.

once i started posting, I think i was banned that same day. i only had a few posts. they didn't dig my 'poke with a stick' style.
I can't imagine wanting to go to a board where there's nothing to argue about.

DU is worse than FR. HP has gotten better but I am still banned over there for my crashing a mobacca love fest.
