John Cardillo one of the first guys I heard about using one set to failure with each exercise. He also use to fast one day a week if I got that right.

Yes, and Franco had great abs. What distracted from Franco's physique was the lack of separation in his quads and that he was bow legged. But his upper body was outrageous for that time!

My gym has 2 diagonal leg press machines. One is from Gym80, which is a German brand, one of the best leg press machines I've tried so far.

I don't have a picture. Mine is a home unit that would be destroyed in a commercial gym but it has a perfect angle and smoothness. It was made by "Serious Steel". The one in my commercial gym looks like it was made a long time ago and doesn't have any manufactures name on it.

When Wilf Sylvester won the short class Universe in 1975 he only did body weight squats with leg extension/curls. I heard he did 400 reps of body weight squats but it wasn't clear if that was one set or a few.

So true. Franco gets a ton of shit on here but his upper body abs obliques were chiseled.
