675,000 jobs added last month = failure
unemployment rate 3.8% = failure
500,000 more jobs were created in the last 13 months than in the 37 months of January 2017-February 2020 = failure
Nato and the world uniting behind Ukraine against Russia save for China and Iran = failure

I get what you mean.

What did Mr. Biden do that enabled this, other than be in the WH when Covid ramped down, and the gov't checks slowed?

Biden on verge of making worst deal ever with Iran
nypost.com ^ | 3/4/2022 | richard goldberg

As the civilian death toll mounts in Ukraine and the world prepares for unspeakable crimes against humanity yet to come, the Biden administration said Friday it’s close to announcing a Russian-brokered deal with Iran that will flood the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism with billions of dollars and leave Tehran on the nuclear weapons threshold.

While the 2015 Iran nuclear deal was bad enough, the coming deal is even worse.

Much has changed in the years since the Obama administration entered the old Iran deal — an agreement that let Iran keep enriching uranium, developing nuclear-capable missiles and sponsoring terrorism in exchange for billions of dollars in US sanctions relief. A deal that would supposedly put Iran’s nuclear program in check and lead a radical regime to moderation failed to do either.

The Obama White House claimed the Iran deal guaranteed the most intrusive inspections the world had ever known, but only Israel’s Mossad found the evidence Iran was cheating — a secret nuclear weapons archive that the mullahs kept hidden before, during and after negotiating the Iran deal. That archive led inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency, the UN’s nuclear watchdog, to at least four previously unknown sites inside Iran. At three of them, the inspectors found traces of uranium.

Russia-Ukraine: Gas prices top $4 per gallon for first time since 2008
Fox business ^ | 03/06/2022 | Jessica Chasmar
Posted on 3/6/2022, 3:10:14 PM by ChicagoConservative27

The U.S. national average for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline crossed the $4 mark for the first time since 2008 on Sunday, up almost 50 cents since Russia invaded Ukraine less than two weeks ago.

The national average, which hit $4.009 on Sunday, according to AAA, is about 10 cents from the all-time record high of $4.114 seen in July 2008.

Blinken says NATO countries have "green light" to send fighter jets to Ukraine
CBS News ^ | March 6, 2022 | Melissa Quinn
Posted on 3/6/2022, 12:46:09 PM by McGruff

Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Sunday that NATO members have the go-ahead to send fighter jets to Ukraine as the U.S. and allies continue their efforts to help Ukraine defend itself against Russia's invasion.

"That gets a green-light," Blinken said in an interview with "Face the Nation" when asked whether the Polish government, a member of NATO, could send fighter planes to Ukraine. "In fact, we're talking with our Polish friends right now about what we might be able to do to backfill their needs if in fact they choose to provide these fighter jets to the Ukrainians. What can we do? How can we help to make sure that they get something to backfill the planes that they are handing over to the Ukrainians?"

Possible Biden Saudi Arabia trip could mean embracing oil, ignoring brutality
Yahoo News ^ | March 6,2022 | Hans Nichols
Posted on 3/7/2022, 7:30:02

President Biden’s advisers are discussing a possible visit to Saudi Arabia this spring to help repair relations and convince the Kingdom to pump more oil, Axios has learned.

Why it matters: A hat-in-hand trip would illustrate the gravity of the global energy crisis driven by Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Biden has chastised Saudi Arabia, and the CIA believes its de facto leader, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, was involved in the dismemberment of Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi.

The possibility also shows how Russia's invasion is scrambling world's alliances, forcing the U.S. to reorder its priorities — and potentially recalibrating its emphasis on human rights.

Biden officials are in Venezuela this weekend to meet with the government of President Nicolás Maduro. Some Republicans and Democrats in Washington suggest Venezuela's oil could replace Russia's, according to the New York Times.

Any visit to the Persian Gulf would come amid a busy presidential travel schedule during the next few months.

Biden will likely take trips to Japan, Spain, Germany and, potentially, Israel, Axios has also learned.

Yahoo! ^ | March7th 2022 | Paul Takahashi

The head of the biggest U.S. oil lobby groups said the Biden administration is “misusing facts” when it claims the industry has more than 9,000 federal drilling permits on which it can drill to boost supply and ease soaring energy prices.

Mike Sommers, the chief executive officer of the American Petroleum Institute, who was in Houston Monday for CERAWeek by S&P Global, said the industry is using a higher percentage of federal onshore and offshore leases than at any time in the past, and it’s continuing to increase production to meet surging demand.

The Biden administration has repeatedly pointed to the number of approved but untapped drilling permits on federal land when questioned about how U.S. production can rise, and what the federal government can do to help.

“There’s a fundamental misunderstanding of the administration as to how the process actually works,” Sommers said in an interview on the sidelines of the conference.

“Just because you have a lease doesn’t mean there’s actually oil and gas in that lease, and there has to be a lot of development that occurs between the leasing and then ultimately permitting for that acreage to be productive,” he said. “I think that they’re purposefully misusing the facts here to advantage their position.”

Dear Biden Voters: Did You Vote for This?
Red State ^ | 03/07/2022 | Kira Davis
Posted on 3/8/2022, 12:56:48 AM

Dear Biden Voters:

Did you vote for this?

Gas prices are exploding but the rise in fuel prices didn’t start last week. They’ve been going up since the moment Joe Biden took office. The legacy media wants us to believe that Russia is our biggest problem when it comes to price spikes, but the data tells us Biden has been the biggest obstacle. All the way back in January of 2021, AAA recorded the biggest jump in the national average price since 2009 (surely it’s purely coincidental that 2009 was the beginning of the previous Democrat administration).

WASHINGTON, D.C. (January 19, 2021) – Since the beginning of the year, the national gas price average has increased 13 cents. Today’s average is $2.38. That is a nickel more than last week. However, still cheaper year-over-year by 17 cents.

The last time the nation saw a substantial January pump price increase was in 2009. That year, the national gas price average jumped 23 cents inside of the first 3 weeks of the year. At that time U.S. gasoline demand and supply were lower and crude oil prices had been increasing, similar to today.

As I write this, the average stands at $4.09, with no end in sight. The Russia/Ukraine conflict has certainly strained our economy, but it is only following the direction that has been trending since Biden’s inauguration.

The oil market is a futures market, and it responds to the whims and concerns of consumers. When consumers feel nervous about the future, the price goes up. We were told Donald Trump was a threat to world stability and we had to get rid of him to secure a safer future. Now here we are, on the brink of a global conflict, if not all-out war…everyone seems to have their own description of what’s happening with Russia right now. Take your pick. The point is that Biden has led us headfirst into the dismal, dystopian landscape so many of you fantasized was happening when Trump was in office.

I know you saw a lot of upsetting things when you looked at Donald Trump, but you know what you didn’t see?

$5+ gas, a war in Russia, empty store shelves, empty car lots, feuding school boards. Is your life bigger or smaller than it was a year ago? Is your future more stable or more uncertain? Is your retirement account larger or smaller?

Forget about Trump. I know it’s hard because he’s living in your head rent-free even though he’s been deplatformed nearly everywhere by this time. It’s easier to blame the guy you don’t like in perpetuity than to criticize the guy you do like in the present. We all get that, we’ve all been there. So don’t think about it like Trump versus Biden. Think about it like “how it started versus how it’s going.”

Look around you. Is any of this what you thought you were voting for?

The Left Isn’t Letting the Ukraine Crisis Go to Waste-Biden doesn’t want to stop the invasion. He wants to use it
Frontpagemagazine ^ | Mar 8, 2022 | Daniel Greenfield
Posted on 3/8/2022, 9:54:42 AM

Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, is an investigative journalist and writer focusing on the radical Left and Islamic terrorism.

The Biden administration is doing everything possible to exploit the Ukraine crisis without doing anything to actually stop it. Its policies are a laundry list of leftist agendas that cynically betray the people fighting and dying on the ground without doing anything to actually halt the invasion.

An unpopular administration has been gifted a crisis by Putin and is seeing to it that it doesn’t go to waste. Biden had been unable to evade the blame for rising gas and food prices, but going forward the skyrocketing price of gas and food, in particular anything with wheat, will be blamed on the Russian invasion. While the invasion will certainly impact energy and food prices, the fundamental force driving the price hikes is still inflation caused by government spending.

Putin’s invasion provides a perfect pretext for allowing the Biden administration and its congressional allies to go on printing money and shutting down the economy with regulatory impositions while blaming the resulting economic crisis on the situation in Ukraine.

That is why Biden doesn’t want to stop Putin. Our intelligence people had all the necessary information on the invasion plans. We knew everything that was going to happen. Had Biden really wanted to deter the invasion, there were multiple options for heading off the war. Instead Biden made it clear that there would be no intervention, just sanctions he knew would not work.

Bloomberg News reported that the Biden officials who created the sanctions knew they wouldn't work.

“No one expected the sanctions to prevent anything from happening," Biden later admitted.

Indeed the Biden administration fiercely fought against the efforts of Senator Ted Cruz and other Republicans to impose sanctions before the invasion because they wanted Putin to invade.

Only if Putin invaded Ukraine would they have the leverage to maintain a crisis, ransack the economy, consolidate corporate economic responses, and transform our foreign policy.

The sanctions regime, under which we import massive amounts of Russian oil but payment processors are ordered to cut off access, make no sense as a means of stopping Putin. But they are not meant to stop Putin or to do anything to help Ukraine. That’s not what this is about.

Anything however can be sold as means of stopping Russia even when it actually helps Russia.

That’s why the Biden administration is cutting deals with Russian allies like Iran and Venezuela.

Even as the Biden administration claims to be doing everything possible to sanction Russia, it outsourced the negotiations for a new and even worse nuclear deal with Iran to Russia.

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg has suggested that the administration is considering buying oil from Iran.

Buying Iranian oil directly finances Islamic terrorism against America, but it, like many other previously unacceptable moves, can be sold as a patriotic response to the invasion of Ukraine.

Biden administration officials are also headed to Venezuela for talks with socialist strongman Maduro, the leader of a murderous drug cartel and an ally of Iran and Russia, to restart relations with his regime and bail it out by buying oil from a narcoterrorist state.

And no one is supposed to ask how helping Russia’s allies is supposed to be stopping Russia.

The Biden administration is willing to buy oil from anyone except Americans. While a Republican administration might have used the Ukraine crisis as leverage for restarting domestic drilling, the Biden administration is using it to cut deals with our enemies.

Does the Biden administration actually want oil from Iran and Venezuela? No, it does not.

The green energy agenda means that the Biden administration is thrilled with high oil prices and an international pretext for keeping them high. At the same time it can build relations with Islamist and leftist enemies under the guise of trying to fix the high oil prices even though it has no intention of doing so except during election years when it can claim credit for lowering prices.

What the Ukraine crisis really means is more green energy and more outreach to our enemies.

These are the same Obama administration policies being dusted off and treated like a new response to the crisis. Much as they were the default responses to any crisis that came along.

People often dismiss any military intervention as another case of ‘Wag the Dog’, but they forget that the movie actually featured a fictional war in which there were no real soldiers involved.

The Biden administration has managed to actually have war fever without a war. There are Ukrainian flags flying and vodka being poured down the drain without a single American soldier being on the battlefield. And, despite what some on both sides think, it’s going to stay that way.

In a real case of ‘Wag the Dog’, an unpopular old incumbent has managed to have a war in an election year without taking any of the political risks of military involvement. The Russians and the Ukranians do the actual fighting while the Biden administration sits back and exploits it.

Whatever happens, Biden is safe because no American soldiers will be killed in the fighting.

He also has a defense against the kitchen table concerns of most Americans. The rising prices which were previously devastating his polling numbers are suddenly no longer his fault.

Americans are being encouraged to “patriotically” accept rising prices as a consequence of the invasion. And some will fall for it and forget that prices were rising long before the invasion.

The unprecedented consolidation of corporate responses won’t salvage Ukraine, but it’s not meant to. Rather it’s another field test for the growing socialization of the American economy with corporations being coordinated to act in unison and cut off access when they’re told.

After running through the farce of looking for oil in Iran and Venezuela, and any other terror state that has any for sale, the Biden administration will double down on green energy. We will be told that the Ukraine crisis is more evidence that we need to invest all our money into windmills and solar panels. Even though the entire crisis only happened because the Europeans decided to invest in wind and solar which made them dependent on Russia and Ukraine.

In the name of stopping Russia, America will also become increasingly dependent on Russia.

Tethering America’s energy market to unstable players like Russia and Ukraine, or Iran and Venezuela, or Saudi Arabia and the Muslim world, forces us into bad binary choices like war or appeasement. Instead of breaking the cycle of dependency by embracing the potential of our own oil, gas, nuclear, and future energy capabilities, we’re trapped in the same dead end maze.

The green energy investors who fund the Democrats win and so do America’s enemies.

Biden isn’t trying to stop Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, he is trying to stop America’s economy while deftly avoiding the blame for the economic misery resulting from his domestic policies.

The sudden embrace of Ukrainian patriotism isn’t about helping that country, but consolidating unquestioning support behind the leftist agendas that are being carried out in Ukraine’s name.

When the crisis has been fully exploited, the blue and yellow flags will be tossed into the trash, along with the red, white and blue ones, and Biden will shake hands with Putin again.

Especially if both men have managed to get what they really wanted with each other’s help.

Here’s Your Russian Collusion: Biden Working with Russia on New Iran Nuke Deal-Why exactly is Biden getting Russian help to appease Iran?
Frontpagemagazine ^ | Mar 7, 2022 | Robert Spencer
Posted on 3/8/2022, 10:05:00 AM

Just when you think the Biden administration couldn’t possibly get worse, it finds a way. Gabriel Noronha, a former State Department official, tweeted Wednesday that State, NSC, and European Union officials are warning that “what’s happening in Vienna,” where Biden’s handlers are negotiating a new nuclear deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran, “is a total disaster,” and that they’re hoping that “Congress will act to stop the capitulation.”

It’s about as likely that Congress will stop this, of course, as it is that Biden’s handlers will send Donald J. Trump himself to Vienna to handle the negotiations, but there are abundant signs that the new agreement will be far worse than the old one, and directly endanger America and its allies. For one thing, even amidst ever-rising tensions with Russia and punitive sanctions, the administration has turned over leadership of the negotiations to a Russian diplomat, Mikhail Ulyanov. Yes, that’s right: Putin’s man is going to get us a new deal with the mullahs.

The trouble is not coming just from the fact that we are trusting Russia to act in America’s best interests (although America’s best interests have never been a priority for Biden’s handlers, and there is really no reason to believe that they have ever been a priority in the Vienna negotiations). Noronha added: “Led by Rob Malley, the U.S. has promised to lift sanctions on some of the regime’s worst terrorists and torturers, leading officials in the regime’s WMD infrastructure, and is currently trying to lift sanctions on the IRGC itself.”

Robert Malley has won renown and disgust as a man who has never hesitated to kowtow to America’s enemies. Judicial Watch noted back in 2015 that “over the years he has published a number of newspaper opinion pieces urging the United States to reach out and negotiate with terrorist enemies like Hamas, Hezbollah and Muqtada al-Sadr.” Now the Iranian mullahs can be added to that list, but since they won’t sully themselves by dealing directly with the emissaries of the Great Satan, the Russians are helpfully playing intermediary.

Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo noted the danger of all this absurdity in a tweet last Sunday: “President Biden — stop partnering with Russia to cut a deal with Iran. When China and Russia are on your side of the table negotiating ‘against’ Iran, you are putting America and Israel at risk.” A senior congressional official added on Monday: “It’s obvious that Russia should no longer serve as one of the key intermediaries brokering an Iran deal. We need to be isolating Russia not just economically, but also diplomatically. There is absolutely no chance that Russia has U.S. national security interests in mind when it comes to Iran’s nuclear program.”

Yeah. But Biden’s handlers show no sign of relenting on this. To all appearances, they’re rushing headlong in to a deal with Tehran that would, surprise of surprises, place Russia in a key role, as did the original Obama nuke deal. NBC News explained that “Under one draft interim agreement that sources said Russia presented to Iran, Tehran would be required to stop enriching uranium up to 60 percent purity and dispose of its current stockpile, possibly by exporting it to Russia, along with other restrictions. In exchange, the Iranian government would receive access to billions of dollars in oil revenues frozen in foreign bank accounts, including in South Korea, the sources said.”

So the Russians would get uranium at a time when Vladimir Putin has raised nuclear tensions to a level we have not seen since the Cuban Missile Crisis, and the Islamic Republic, whose leaders finance not just jihad terror groups, but also Leftist groups that work to destabilize Western societies would get billions. What could possibly go wrong?

Then there is the ongoing malevolence of the country that forces its people to chant “Death to America” in mosques every Friday. On Sept. 23, 2015, two months after the nuke deal was finalized, Khamenei published an article entitled “The Idols Will Be Shattered,” illustrated with a drawing of the Statue of Liberty shattered in pieces. In it, he declared, “The idol of the soul, the idol of pride, [and] the idol of sexual lust; the idol of tyranny and subservience; the idol of global tyranny [that is, the U.S.]; the idol of sloth and irresponsibility; and the other idols that shame the precious human soul—a plan that will spring forth from the depths of the heart will shatter them.”

That doesn’t exactly sound as if the JCPOA was a path to peaceful coexistence. And more recently, on Tuesday Khamenei blamed the “Mafia regime” in the United States for the conflict in Ukraine. So in Vienna, Biden’s handlers are now cooperating with a diplomat from one hostile power in order to appease another hostile power. Remember back when we had an administration that worked for Americans?

Canada Says Its Oil Could Replace U.S. Imports Of Russian Crude, All It Would Take Is Approval Of The Keystone XL Pipeline
Oil Price ^ | 03/07/2022 | Tsvetana Paraskova
Posted on 3/8/2022, 12:48:40 AM by SeekAndFind

Canada’s oil could replace American imports of Russian crude, the top officials of the oil-producing province Alberta said this weekend.

As talks about banning Russian oil imports in the United States and its European allies intensify, reports have started to emerge that the U.S. Administration could be looking to persuade Saudi Arabia to pump more oil or lift some sanctions on Venezuela to help fill the gap that a Russian oil embargo would open.

On Sunday, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that the United States and its European allies were in “very active discussions” about banning the import of Russian oil over Putin’s war in Ukraine.

Even without sanctions on Russian oil, some of the biggest U.S. importers of Russian crude oil have started suspending their purchases of the commodity.

Canada has long pitched its crude as one that is not produced in rogue government regimes such as Venezuela, Iran, or Russia, and Alberta’s top officials now say that its crude could be the answer to more supply from allied nations to the United States.

Retweeting Elon Musk’s comments that “we need to increase oil & gas output immediately,” Alberta’s Energy Minister Sonya Savage said on Saturday:

“Agreed. And it should come from Alberta, home of the 3rd largest oil reserves. Alberta is the answer to US Energy security. Real emissions reductions, reliable, right next door.”

Alberta’s Premier Jason Kenney said that he and Savage would be attending the CERAWeek conference in Houston this week, where “We will be meeting with decision-makers to secure access to markets, attract job-creating investment to our province, and argue for Canadian energy to displace Russian conflict oil.”
