Biden's Next Crisis: Home Heating Oil Rationing Begins in Northeast, and It's Not Even Winter Yet
PJ Media ^ | October 23, 2022 | Ryan Ledecker
Posted on 10/24/2022, 3:10:03 PM by C19fan

It looks like President Joe Biden might get his winter of death after all, and it’s not because of the unvaccinated.

If you live in the Northeast, you know that even in normal times, heating oil bills constitute a significant expense because winters are usually brutal. Unfortunately, this year could be the worst year ever for residents of the region hoping to adequately heat their homes. Not only are heating oil prices through the roof on anti-fossil fuel President Joe Biden’s watch, but even for those who have the funds to stock up, it doesn’t really matter: heating oil rationing is already taking place.

A surge in migration from Venezuela, Cuba and Nicaragua brought the number of illegal crossings to the highest level ever recorded in a fiscal year. In the 12-month period that ended Sept. 30, migrants were stopped 2.38 million times, up 37% from 1.73 million times the year before and surpassing 2 million for the first time.

Democraps are counting on these illegals to vote for them once they're granted asylum, and later citizenship if they choose to apply.

Democraps should know better, that Venezuelans, Cubans and Nicaraguans aren't going to vote for socialists or communists because they've already been there, done that.

Joe Biden Gripes About Lack of Freedom After Secret Service Stops Him from Wandering Off
Breitbart ^ | 10/25/2022 | CHARLIE SPIERING
Posted on 10/25/2022, 9:47:38 AM

President Joe Biden flashed annoyance at his Secret Service detail as they redirected him at the White House after an event on Monday.

The president and First Lady Jill Biden participated in a tree planting ceremony for White House groundskeeper Dale Haney to mark his 50 years of service.

After the event Biden began walking away in one direction before a Secret Service agent pointed him toward the opposite direction.

“Which way we going?” Biden asked.

“This way,” the agent replied.

“How about going the other way?” Biden responded.

“This way sir,” another agent added.

How about if I want to go that way?” Biden continued.

“You can go that way if you want,” the agent replied.

‘Clearly Unstable’: New Data Suggests US Manufacturing Could Be On The Brink Of Collapse
Daily Caller ^ | 10/24/22 | John Hugh DeMastri
Posted on 10/25/2022, 8:35:06 AM

U.S. manufacturing showed signs of a downturn as the fourth quarter began, with an early estimate of S&P Global’s Manufacturing Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) for October dipping to its lowest level since early 2020.

New orders for manufactured goods fell marginally in October, as new exports fell at the fastest rate since May 2020, pushing the “Flash” US PMI results to 49.9, its lowest level in 28 months, according to financial analytics firm S&P Global Monday. The “Flash” PMI, which is a preliminary result based on data available from Oct. 6 through Oct. 21, also saw business optimism plummet in October to its lowest level in more than two years, as companies began working through their backlogs, indicating that demand was declining.

“While output in manufacturing remains more resilient for now, October saw a steep drop in demand for goods, meaning current output is only being maintained by firms eating into backlogs of previously placed orders,” said Chief Business Economist Chris Williamson at S&P Global Market Intelligence. “Clearly this is unsustainable absent of a revival in demand, and it’s no surprise to see firms cutting back sharply on their input buying to prepare for lower output in coming months.”

“The surveys therefore present a picture of the economy at increased risk of contracting in the fourth quarter at the same time that inflationary pressures remain stubbornly high,” said Williamson. “However, there are clearly signs that weakening demand is helping to moderate the overall rate of inflation, which should continue to fall in the coming months, especially if interest rates continue to rise.”

Biden to get updated Covid booster shot amid warnings over winter case surge and lack of funding
CNN ^ | 10/25/2022 | Maegan Vazquez
Posted on 10/25/2022, 11:45:36 AM by ChicagoConservative27

President Joe Biden is set to get his updated Covid-19 booster vaccine on Tuesday as federal health officials press their case for more pandemic response funding with the nation heading toward winter and a potential surge of cases.

Getting his own booster gives Biden another opportunity to promote the shot as his administration continues to grapple with the political challenges and public health hurdles posed by a slow uptake nationwide. The appointment comes a little less than two months before Congress’ mid-December deadline to continue funding the federal government – including federal Covid-19 efforts that the administration says Congress is already underfunding.

It also comes two weeks before Election Day in the midterm races, a consequential election that could reset the political realities for any of the administration’s leftover ambitions to fund work related to the pandemic.

On Tuesday when he receives the vaccine, the President is expected to announce additional engagement efforts to help encourage and educate Americans about the updated booster. CNN first reported on Tuesday that the Department of Health and Human Services is debuting new ads aimed at increasing booster uptake. A White House official says Biden will also “be joined by business leaders as well as administration officials and discuss what his administration is doing to encourage more Americans to receive their updated Covid-19 shots.”

Yellen: ‘Not Positive’ Inflation Has Peaked, It Will ‘Come Down over the Next Year or Two’
Breitbart ^ | 10/24/2022 | Ian hatchett
Posted on 10/24/2022, 7:22:14 PM by

During a portion of an interview with NBC News released on Monday, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said she’s confident that “inflation will come down over the next year or two,” but while there are “good indications” that inflation will decline, she isn’t certain that inflation has peaked and doesn’t want to predict inflation numbers on a month-by-month basis.

Yellen stated, “I have confidence that inflation will come down over the next year or two, so I believe that what [the Federal Reserve is] doing will work.”

2 Reasons Why It Is Impossible For Any Rational Person To Be Optimistic About The US Economy At This Point
TEC ^ | 10/25/2022 | Michael Snyder
Posted on 10/25/2022, 4:33:20 PM

Things haven’t looked this bad for the U.S. economy since 2008. We are in the midst of the worst inflation crisis in decades, the housing market has started to collapse, some of the largest companies in America have begun laying off workers, and economic activity is slowing down all around us. Of course Joe Biden is telling us that our economy is “strong as hell”, but that is just because he wants his party to do well in the upcoming elections. Ultimately, anyone that takes a truly objective view of things is forced to admit that the outlook for the months ahead is incredibly bleak.

The following are 12 reasons why it is impossible for any rational person to be optimistic about the U.S. economy at this point…

#1 According to a recent Gallup survey, two-thirds of Americans believe that economic conditions are getting worse. When such a large proportion of the population starts behaving as though an economic downturn is coming, that actually makes an economic downturn even more likely. So many Americans are starting to hold on to their money more tightly, and that is having lots of ripple effects.

#2 The second largest auto lender in the United States just announced that it “saw charge-offs for retail auto loans quadruple in the third quarter”. We are also seeing credit card delinquencies start to rise. We certainly aren’t at 2008 levels yet, but we are moving in that direction.

#3 Cargo traffic at the Port of Los Angeles just declined to the lowest level that we have seen since the early days of the pandemic. As I noted earlier, economic activity is beginning to slow down all over the nation. One recent survey discovered that 98 percent of corporate CEOs believe that a recession is coming, and those CEOs are behaving accordingly.

#4 Major retailers such as Walmart and Target have been canceling billions of dollars in orders as they seek to cut back inventory levels. In all my years, I have never seen our largest retailers cancel so many orders just prior to the holiday season. Are they expecting the next couple of months to be a total bust?

#5 Existing home sales just fell to a 10 year low. We all knew that the housing market was going to implode once the Federal Reserve started to aggressively raise interest rates, but at this point that implosion is happening faster than most of the experts had anticipated.

#6 U.S. homebuilder sentiment has declined for 10 months in a row. That is a brand new record. I really feel sorry for you if you are a homebuilder or if you work for one. The months ahead are not going to be pleasant for you.

#7 60,000 real estate deals were called off in the month of September alone. I was stunned when I first saw that number. All over the country buyers are realizing that they agreed to pay too much and are feverishly trying to back out of deals while they still can.

#8 Mortgage demand has plunged to the lowest level in 25 years. Things never even got this bad during the downturn of 2008 and 2009. To me, this is a really troubling sign.

#9 Ian Sheperdson, the chief economist at Pantheon Macroeconomics, is projecting that home prices could fall 20 percent over the next year. Hopefully that will not happen, but there is also a possibility that they could fall even further than that. We will just have to wait and see how rapidly this new crisis plays out.

#10 U.S. diesel inventories have fallen to the lowest level since 2008. This is something that we will want to watch very carefully, because the U.S. economy runs on diesel.

#11 The core consumer price index has just surged to “the highest level since 1982”. Even though the Federal Reserve has been on an insane rate hiking spree, our inflation crisis continues to rage out of control. And as prices continue to soar, our standard of living is being absolutely eviscerated.

#12 A model created by Bloomberg economists Anna Wong and Eliza Winger indicates that there is a 100 percent chance of a recession within the next 12 months. Of course it is entirely possible that their model could be wrong. But without a doubt this is not a good sign.

Right now, even some of our society’s most relentless optimists are warning that tough economic times are ahead.

For instance, in a post on Twitter Elon Musk just suggested that we could be suffering through a recession until the spring of 2024…

If Elon Musk is any type of financial prognosticator, the market and economy could be in trouble for more than a year to come.

When prompted in a Twitter thread early on Friday morning, the Tesla CEO said that he thought the current recession would last “probably until spring of ’24”.

Because he is such an optimist, Musk believes that economic conditions will turn around eventually.

But what if they don’t?

What if the “perfect storm” that we are currently enduring ultimately results in the collapse of everything?

Are you prepared for such a scenario?

Previous generations of Americans handed us the keys to the most prosperous economy that the world has ever seen.

But instead of managing it carefully, we have piled up the biggest mountain of debt in the history of the planet, we have transformed Wall Street into the globe’s largest casino, and we have systematically destroyed the reserve currency of the world.

Thanks to a very long series of incredibly foolish decisions by our leaders, we are now facing a war with Russia, a collapse of the housing market, a global food crisis, a global inflation crisis and a worldwide financial meltdown simultaneously.

The entire system is starting to crumble all around us, but most people still believe that things will “return to normal” at some point.

Personally, I would love to see things “return to normal”, but unfortunately it appears that is not likely to happen any time soon.

Nearly one in five Americans have skipped meals or did not buy groceries due to surging inflation, including 28 percent of Gen Z and 23 percent of millennials, according to a recent survey.

Seventeen percent of respondents said they were receiving food items from a food bank, including 22 percent of millennials, while 17 said they have stopped buying healthier food options. Eighteen percent said they had skipped meals or did not buy groceries.

Biden says the price of gas was 'over five dollars' when he took office, data shows it was $2.39...Biden also claimed that the 'price of inflation is down'
www.foxbusiness.com ^ | 27 October 2022 | By Adam Sabes
Posted on 10/28/2022, 10:26:02 AM by Red Badger

President Biden said during a Thursday speech that the price of gasoline was "over five dollars" when he took office, despite the actual average price of regular gasoline being $2.39.

Biden made the comment during a speech on the CHIPS Act in Syracuse, New York.

"The most common price of gas in America is $3.39, down from over five dollars when I took office," Biden said. "We need to keep making that progress by having energy companies bring down the cost of a gallon of gas that reflects the cost of paying for a barrel of oil."

However, the national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline in the week ending Jan. 25, 2021, shortly after Biden took office, was $2.39, according to data from the Energy Information Administration. The average price for a gallon of regular gasoline didn't hit $5 until June 2022, which is well over a year after Biden took office.

According to AAA, the current national average for a gallon of regular gasoline is $3.76, over 30 cents more than Biden claimed Thursday.

He also commented on the gross domestic product figure released on Thursday, showing that the U.S. economy grew by 2.6% on an annualized basis during the months of July through September.

"The economy, in fact, is growing. In fact, the economy grew at 2.6% rate last quarter. And although it may not feel like for everyone, people's incomes went up last quarter more than inflation went up. So economic growth is up, the price of inflation is down. Real incomes are up and the price of gas is down. Folks continue to spend, but now a more stable pace than during our rapid recovery last year. Businesses continue to invest in America," Biden said.

The Labor Department recently released updated consumer price index figures showing that prices for everyday goods including groceries, rent and gasoline rose 0.4% in September when compared to the previous month.

That figure was above the forecasted 0.2% projected monthly increase forecast from Refinitiv economists.

Core prices, which exclude food and energy, rose by 0.6%.

Prices for groceries increased by 0.7% in September, and 13% over the past 12 months.

Biden: ‘Main Driver of Food Prices’ Is Packaged Goods, So People Will Buy Cheaper Raisin Bran

During an interview with Nexstar Washington Correspondent Reshad Hudson aired on Thursday’s edition of NewsNation’s “Rush Hour,” President Joe Biden stated that his administration is bringing food prices down and that “the main driver of food prices” isn’t the elevated price of things like beef or eggs, it’s in packaged goods, so you will “see people not buying Kellogg’s Raisin Bran, you’re going to see them buying other Raisin Bran, which is going to be a dollar cheaper.”
