Some personal covid events I've experienced:
My kids  classes and partners childs classes have all been riddled with covid, yet not one has actually been ill with it, none knew they had it, just had tests.
One of my close friends caught covid while double jabbed, he did a random test as his partner needed cancer surgery, he wasn't unwell. He has now caught civid again, he felt ill and tested and is positive while being triple jabbed!
My workplace has probably seen about 75% of people go off work to isolate as they had covid but none were actually ill.
I know of 2 deaths "with" covid one friend who's mum had lung problems and another who was in her 70's so vulnerable anyway.
My 2 boys both had it, only knew because they tested as other kids at school tested positive. Neither were in the slightest bit ill.
I only know one person personally who didn't feel ill from the vaccine and didn't need time off work.

No doubt many people are feigning COVID in one way or another to get some time off work. In my very large extended family and among my many friends, I only know of two people who got six following the vaccine. A cousin was sick for 1 day. My daughter had a bad reaction to the booster and was sick for several days and ended up going to the ER because she became severely dehydrated.

Prostate cancer is one of the most frequently diagnosed cancers in the world, despite it only being diagnosed in males . In fact, more than 70 percent of men over the age of 80 have some quantity of cancer cells in their prostate.

* the relative 10-year survival rate is 98%
* the relative 15-year survival rate is 96%

About 1 man in 41 will die of prostate cancer. Prostate cancer can be a serious disease, but most men diagnosed with prostate cancer do not die from it. In fact, more than 3.1 million men in the United States who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer at some point are still alive today.

Well, Prime, you should be happy to know this:

For HEALTHY NON-OBESE PEOPLE AGED 80-89, the ACTUAL odds of dying of Covid are on the order of 1.5%, or 1 in 67.

I'm not sure if you have a lot of health conditions, as from what I am aware, you are pretty healthy for your age.

You are not obese.  You may be overweight on the BMI scale, but I weigh 175.5-lb, which makes me 8-lb overweight for my height on the BMI scale.  Even if you are overweight, overweight is not obese, and even if you were obese [for me, 201-lb on the BMI scale], that is not severely obese [268-lb on the BMI scale].

So if you are a generally healthy person, even at your age, getting Covid is not a death sentence.

Basically, Covid is much like the flu - and would only kill those of us at a point where we are already dying anyway.  Maybe you have the genetics to live to age 95, but could catch Covid at 92, and die then, instead.

Certainly Covid is more of a threat to you at your age, than to me at age 40.  But even at your age, Covid is not a death sentence.  But to expect those of us in age demographics where 99.99% of people have survived Covid this far to worry about dying of this virus [i.e., Canadians aged 40-49] is completely absurd.

As I said, all men will eventually die of prostate cancer if they live long enough.  Of course this concerns me on some minor level, but in general, I don't go around day to day worrying about it.

In fact, I expose myself to friends sick with Covid every chance I get, in order to build greater immunity to it.

Exactly.  And I'm not even sure if it matters if Covid is the primary cause of death on the death certificate for it to be called a Covid death - if you tested positive for Covid two days ago, on February 1st, and die on February 28th, you will be recorded as a Covid death.  I've even heard this happening for CAR CRASH deaths...although I don't know if that's true.

I'll give you one example that is COMPLETELY ABSURD - there was a 14-year-old boy named Nathanael Spitzer from Alberta, who was at the hospital dying of brain cancer [I guess in the hospice, but I don't know].  For NO REASON WHATSOEVER, the clowns in this clown show working at his hospital tested him for Covid using the bullshit PCR test TWO DAYS BEFORE HE DIED.  Then low and behold - COVID DEATH!  And it was only when the family of the decedent teenage boy reported this FRAUD on Facebook, in a thread that went VIRAL, did Alberta's government admit to their LIE, and even removed his death from the federally recorded Canadian mortality data published by PHAC.  Check out the news story here:
