Yes, several Russian banks blocked from SWIFT.

Russian oligarch assets also frozen, won't be able to access their foreign bank accounts.

here is a comparison, tells you a lot about Putin, if Putin was the US he would not have committed ground troops until he had done his shock and awe phase meaning pounding the shit out of ukraine from the sky destroying the country and destroying the will of the ground forces to fight. He hasn't, he's looking to just remove the government and install a government that won't look west, basically he's had enough of his requests to stop NATO expansion being denied and he has decided that if you wish to still treat him like he's the soviet union than he will attempt to rebuild it. There you have the position he is confronting nothing more, He has looked to minimise civilian casualties on the ukrainian side by committing ground troops rather than bombs from the air. I dont like what he's doing but I do understand why, NATO should have stopped expanding or at least left the soviet buffer zone alone, or it should have anticipated this position and committed forces to the Ukaraine western border to counter his build up in then east. Biden and NATO didn't as he fears war, what Putin does with that knowledge only he knows hopefully he's content with making a point in Ukaraine.

Ukraines are caucasian. Arabs are not by Western standards vs. science.  There would be no shock and awe like Iraq and Vietnam (white again but not by Western standards).  Letting your imagination run wild.

Though Arabs are Caucasian, also northern Indians.

For medical trials, they fall under the same category as whites of European descent.

Things are moving very fast.

We all know that Russia, China and North Korea are friends. But did you know that India is also a friend to Russia? Below is a link that shows how India is exploring setting up rupee trade accounts with Russia to soften sanctions blow.

https://www.reuters.com/world/india/india-explores-setting-up-rupee-trade-accounts-with-russia-soften-sanctions-blow-2022-02-25/

I think this is far from over. Besides India, another region that is siding with Russia is the United Arab Emirates. I could be wrong, but I'm starting to think we are slowly seeing the inception of a new financial system.

SWIFT might be going out of style within certain parts of the world.

Last 20 years or so Russia has made serious inroads into being friendly to India. 20x levels of trade over the start, and huge arms support. There's also some big transport and energy deals between them. India is in an interesting spot.

The UAE wants the oil in Ukraine, they already have a contract with Constellis group to help them secure it.

Constellis owns a private military called Academi, guess who Academi used to be? Blackwater. They have been in Ukraine for a few months now training and supplying battalions in Ukraine who have been harassing donbass, which so happens to be against the Minsk agreement that Ukraine has with Russia.

This invasion isn't happening for no reason lmao Ukraine was setup by the US/UAE and its allies for this all to happen.

With all of the sanctions there’s always a catch.

Doesn’t really matter, according to CNN Russia is about surrender😂😂

It's because they can't really sanction them in any meaningful way because of the oil and energy market.  Any Ukranian with the means who didn't get out immediately once Biden won is an idiot

Belarus preparing to join the Russians. Sending in airborne troopers. Belarus and Ukraine have generally been good neighbours. No history of bad blood or conflict

Ukraine are also claiming this

"Ukraine’s deputy defence minister Hanna Malyar has claimed Russian forces have lost about 4,300 servicemen. It was not possible for the Guardian to immediately independently verify the figure.

Malyar also said on Facebook that Russian troops have lost about 146 tanks, 27 aircraft and 26 helicopters, Reuters reports."

Kinda hard to believe, but big if true. Begs the question, why is Belarus sending in troopers to back Putin?

Putin now has put his nuclear weapons on high alert:

jpost.com/international/article-698772

Russia pretending to be a victim, but in reality the kremlin (as usual) is the agressor.
Filthy communist c*cksucker.

This insane psychopath has the means to destroy our planet and wipe out the human race.
Let's hope there are some sane people left in the kremlin who will put a gun to the back of putins head and pull the trigger.

Anything but talking about NATO buildup in the Ukraine and how this is basically a Russian Cuban Missile Crisis.

The "heroic" Ukrainian President had every opportunity to declare neutrality but he probably reasoned that a NATO relationship would protect Ukraine from Russian aggression. Reasoned wrong. Caused Russian aggression. Just like always, we leave our client states twisting in the breeze. It was a tough razor's edge for him to tread, admittedly, but that was his job and he failed.

Now he's trying to inspire a citizen army. According to our press, this means Russia is losing. That Russia, in a matter of days, owns the sky, all the armor, all the artillery, every inch of ground they traversed and are now entering the capital without facing any organized resistance... none of this indicates overwhelming superiority according to our media.

Ukraine's military, who I guess still exist somewhere, needing untrained civilian riflemen with homemade molotovs with a 150 foot range means that Putin's invasion is destined for defeat. ::)  Our news is in la-la land.

This futile effort has the added bonus of making every civilian a potential combatant in the eyes of Russian forces.

Stop spreading KGB / communist lies and conspiracies. You are helping fascism. Historically the kremlin has always been about lies and deception. Putin has the same way of thinking as mass murderer stalin.

Russia always behaves as if it's the victim. It's not, they are the agressor.
Hence their 45 years of dictatorship over Eastern European countries.
EU Nato countries are very weak militarily, the result of decades of budget cuts. No threat whatsoever to russia.

Russia is now willing to talk

"Ukraine and Russia to hold negotiations without preconditions near Ukrainian-Belarusian border"

Maybe the Russian body count was accurate and Putin saw sense or the Ukrainians go French.

Yes, I see. Anyone who doesn't blindly accept what he's told by the news is a traitor and an enemy operative. You ever met a bandwagon you didn't jump on?

Just because they're bad doesn't mean we're good. Because they did something bad doesn't mean we never did anything to cause it. It's not like in the movies or monotheism where everything is a nice tidy binary.

If it's easier for you to see things in black and white then do your thing.

I was going down the list of sanctions imposed by various nations against Russia and Putin/Lavrov (sp?) and while the SWIFT one would hurt them a good bit along with asset seizures in banks/financial institutions of other countries... the one that made no sense was issuing a travel ban against them.

On paper it makes no sense as I doubt either fly commercial airlines.   ;D

But it would seem if they did, the Putin would retaliate by banning any aircraft/flight service from the countries that agreed with the ban from operating in Russia.  That would be an  airline disaster that would last for the rest of the year and felt all over the world.
