Having never been to either country I'd prefer living in Finland over Russia I think. But what advantage does the US have from Finland joining NATO?
If the Scandinavian countries join NATO they will regret it in a few years when Swedish, Norwegian and Finnish troops are sent to some shithole country to die for US interests.

You think NATO is benevolent?  ::)

Tell that to the people of Yugoslavia that were bombed into the ground in 1999 by NATO in order to liberate them...

Guess It's only “rightful and necessary” to invade other countries when NATO does it.

Listen to this clown ->

x2

Exactly Right
So many are Hypocrites & have Short memories.

It was ok for O'Bumma to Bomb & countries Yep That was Necessary & Right.  ::)

For sanctions to work and achieve desired results it's very important to put in lots of preliminary work before actually going ahead .
Sanctions work when they are carried out at least by a predominant majority which has not been the case in this instance . When you have a sanction regime while big states like China and India are not implementing along with most countries in Asia , Africa and Latin America , it's very unlikely that sanctions would have the effects intended or even not turn out to be counter productive having stirred up financial forces which end up exploiting the economic vulnerabilities of the countries behind the sanction regime themselves.

Not just sanctions like i already said, and of course they are not going to single handedly stop the invasion in and of themselves, I never said as such

@RandPaul simply wanted an inspector general to oversee how $40 BILLION taxpayer dollars are being spent in Ukraine and the DC swamp RATS went nuts. They don’t want transparency or accountability because it’s one giant kickback and payoff to their friends and Big War, courtesy of the taxpayer. Good on Rand Paul for taking this stand and showing what's what.

https://www.rt.com/russia/555481-lavrov-west-state-piracy/

West accused of ‘state piracy’
US-led bloc has completely undermined its reputation as a “predictable partner,” Russia’s top diplomat has said

The West has declared a “total hybrid war” against Russia, resorting to open “robbery” and “state piracy,” Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Friday. Everyone “without exception” is set to feel the impact of this conflict, the top diplomat warned.

“Political correctness, decency, rules, and the legal norms are simply discarded, the cancel culture is applied to everything Russian, any hostile actions against our country are allowed, including outright robbery,” Lavrov said during his speech at a meeting of the Foreign and Defense Policy Council (SVOP) forum.

The hostile steps taken by ‘the collective West’ against Moscow in recent weeks have completely undermined its own reputation as a “predictable partner,” the diplomat continued. Such actions only bring the emergence of a truly multipolar world closer, as “not only Russia, but many others are reducing their dependence on the US dollar, on Western technologies and markets,” no longer feeling safe from Western “state piracy,” Lavrov believes.

The ongoing assault on Russia has already turned into a “total hybrid war,” he added. That “war” has already reached such a scale that “everyone” in the world will be affected by it, he warned.

“The collective West has declared a total hybrid war against us, and while it is difficult to predict how long all this will last, it is evident that everyone will feel the consequences, without exception,” the foreign minister stated.

Moscow has been hit by multiple waves of Western sanctions since the conflict with Ukraine broke out in late February. Russia attacked its neighboring state following Ukraine’s failure to implement the terms of the Minsk agreements, first signed in 2014, and Moscow’s eventual recognition of the Donbass republics of Donetsk and Lugansk. The German- and French-brokered protocols were designed to give the breakaway regions special status within the Ukrainian state.

The Kremlin has since demanded that Ukraine officially declare itself a neutral country that will never join the US-led NATO military bloc. Kiev insists the Russian offensive was completely unprovoked and has denied claims it was planning to retake the two republics by force.

This invasion is dragging on.  It doesn't seem like it's going very well.  It paints an interesting picture of the Russian capability to wage war against the United States

Since the invasion Russia's inflation rate has just about doubled, going from 9% to 18%.  And how many Russian troops have died?  Something's got to give.

In the same amount of time that Russia's Special Military Operation has been going on in Ukraine the USA flew over 100,000 sorties in the Iraq war. And Russia has only flown around 8,000 sorties. Russia has not even declared war on Ukraine. So the USA dropped more than 10 times as many bombs on Iraq which is a smaller country than Ukraine.

The USA did not care about civilian casualties in Iraq. Which is why they approached the invasion of Iraq differently than Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Don't believe the MSM propaganda. Did Russia declare war on Ukraine? No they did not. Putin announced a special military operation to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine.

However it is true that Russia will have a bigger job to demilitarize Ukraine now that USA is arming Ukraine and fighting a proxy war with other nations soldiers, like they did in Syria. I personally think Putin should escalate this and take off the gloves. He is worried about civilian casualties when he's already seen as a pariah in the West. He should use a few big bombs to take out the leadership of Ukraine. If it means Kiev gets some so be it. And he should completely destroy any supplies coming in to Ukraine. Maybe he should blow up the infrastructure of Ukraine like USA did in Iraq? Dams, bridges, power plants, rail lines, airports? Russia could easily do this if they wanted to. And maybe they should? Because otherwise this thing will drag out much longer than Russia wanted. I'd be curious to see USA's reaction if Russia started attacking the infrastructure of Ukraine.

Here Col. Black explains the situation in Ukraine really well.

It’s the cost to prevent being nuked.

Although Americans love the nukes, many seem keen to be nuked themselves.

There's a clip somewhere of former majority leader Tom Delay saying nuclear war would be great because it would speed up "the coming of the messiah".

Psychos like this are in power.

This isn't the clip but this is DeLay:

Psychos like this are in power.

Nukes are also on the option list for the pro-green movement as it breaks the current global network therefore reduces consumption and CO2. Psychos indeed.

But economic war is better so I’d do this:

China lockdown achieved 2 things for China. It now fucks the US massively in Q4 and also bought China time to reduce resource consumption and allow ships to anchor off port with fresh supplies so when they reopen issa ok for a bit.

China reopens in June which puts pressure on energy prices making it ideal for an attach back so US and EU issue a ban on Russia energy causing an energy crunch all over again.

If this happens it achieves 1 major thing:
Reduces global food output and causes countries to capitulate and ban food exports as yields are not high enough to allow sending offshore. This cuts off further food supply to Gina who rely on imports effectively starving them.

We already have major food price spikes coming in Q4. Add this on top and it’s gunna hurt all of us but it’ll hurt China 50x more. Food stimmy bucks come in Q4 to assist with prices.
