The actual war in Ukraine was a distraction. The real war was which economy would break first. Russia lost and in a big way. They will be going back to a bartering economy. Potato skins and moss for dinner.

The actual fighting in Ukraine could go on for long time. Ukraine will only be given enough weapons and military hardware  to defend successfully and occasionally win a battle. Never enough to outright win the war.

The longer the fighting goes on the more economic pain Russia will feel. That will presumably be the goal for America and Nato now.

You mistake me for someone who gives a fuck about Ukraine or its people. Both Russia and Ukraine are sending their men to die in a war that America orchestrated and has now won, but the deaths will continue.

Russian economy is still tracking better than most of Europe even under sanctions. Im not saying the US, but the whole of Europe is a mess right now, take away the sanctions and Russia would be outperforming them on growth.

Russias timeframe to win in Ukraine's only stifled by the west, or basically US weaponry and intelligence, some help from Europe but I think we can all agree Russia is no match for the US,discounting nuclear, but Europe without the US and UK would be a different story. Anyone who hasn't watched in amazement of the modern warfare weaponry against Russias more traditional approach, put it this way, the US can be stoned gay trans feminist, whatever floats the USA weird boat, but they have the technology and weaponry to support their global agenda.

This conflict isn't Vietnam or a proxy war with China, its the US in a proxy war with Russia, The Chinese would be thinking twice about fighting a proxy war in Taiwan.

I still respects Putins right to defend himself from further NATO expansion.

The Russian financial system did a great job in 2022, but they are out of ammunition. Russia is now moving to a wartime economy. Going forwards there won't be economic growth. If the war continues for a couple more years it will see a double digit percentage decline.

Natural gas is now at a 2 year low. Europe will be welcoming back cheaper energy prices in 6 to 12 months.

The 2 economies will be moving in opposite directions.
