Red Wings are great! I believe mine are 6 years old, but i only wear them a few times a month when i go to job sites. When i worked in construction that seemed to be what everyone had in the oil patch.

For dress shoes, Johnston and Murphy, expensive but they last forever.

I'm a shoe fanatic, i have at least 20 pairs of shoes.

Me too. The only time I'll wear trainers (or 'sneakers') is in a gym or when I'm running. I've got suede Oxfords, patent Oxfords, shell cordovan Derbys handmade in Italy, Chelsea boots, military boots, handmade loafers, etc. I sound like a bender but I view them as works of art and find a lot of aesthetic value in them.

No Monk shoes?

Nah, I've never really been a fan. They're a bit 'much' for my tastes. I had a pair of Florsheim double monkstraps once but I didn't feel comfortable and ended up ditching them.
