I make an awesome Old Fashioned.

Sugar cube
Maraschino cherry
Orange slice
4 dashes Bitters
MUDDLE MUDDLE MUDDLE
add ice
add booze of choice (brandy, bourbon, whiskey, southern comfort)
add soda of choice (sweet, sour, press)
gently stir, garnish

Favorite is Bulliet Old Fashioned Sour
Brandy Old Fashioned Sweet is the traditional.

That sounds awesome.

The sugar cube is mandatory. None of that simple syrup crap.  Muddling the fruit is also required. Bitters to taste...4 shakes is a good start.
Wonder what that smoker would do to the taste  ???  Not sure I'd like that.

Not sure what she chose but you can pick flavors like apple, cinammon, pecan, and others. It really doesn't do much to the taste just the smell in the smoke.

I found someone selling the Eagle Rare 17, which was my first "real" bourbon.  Used to get it when available about 4x a year for about $36.

Price this time was $2,499.

LOL.

Bourbon is only recently trendy with millennial hipsters.

Real men have always consumed.

I wish it was alot less trendy. prices are getting out of control and that's even if you can find a bottle of something you really want.

I got some "cask strength" whiskey recently, 120 proof it's a bit much.

Are you supposed to dilute this with something?  Hard to imagine someone enjoying drinking it straight but maybe I'm just a lightweight.

120 proof is very strong.

Could use ice and let it melt a bit or add a few drops of water.

Most of the bourbons I like are in the 90 range.

Hopefully enjoying this bourbon helps you attend The Committee™ meetings you have been forsaking.

GB awards need to go out.

Ice helps.
I also have a glass of something not as strong first.
