3/4cup raw oats

5-6 almonds

Tablespoon fish oil

2 oz pasta, 2 mini vegan burger patties, broccoli

4 slices cheese pizza from gourmet pizza place






Fyi, this is what 2000 cals looks like in real life. I could easily eat more than this but i am slowly raising cals. I did 2100 today. I dont think ill be content until i hit 3000 and im hoping by raising by 100 per every 5-7 days i wont gain fat

I think you might be able to jump to 3k right away without gaining fat.

  I think your body has some ability to adjust to changes, and you kind of have to push hard to really gain or lose weight.  I had to binge like crazy for over a week straight to gain noticeable fat.

Just a hypothesis.

Today:

quest bar
4 squares of 85-90% chocolate
salmon and brussels sprouts:



~2300 calories

I'm a lot less careful about tracking now, also I overestimated the salmon by 200 cals, as this was sockeye, not atlantic (which is much fattier, apparently).  I must have had a snack in between the two main meals, not sure what though.

Lunch: salmon file w sweet potato, cashew green kale sallad with spinach topped with extra virgin balsamic and a sprinkle of white pepper

Dinner: tuna with piri piri and two eggs, roman sallat and tomatoes. Some strawberries after.

Evening: more cashew and couple of carrots

Youe Eating disorder is so bad that you are convincing yourself that you ate 500 more cals than you really do. Man you need help seriously

You shouldnt be tracking at all, get some high calories foods down you neck FFS.

listen, "be there" and "thong maniac", i've gained 10 lbs, pretty much of fat and glycogen.  i took a vacation and binged for a week straight.  probably put down 20k calories in the first 24 hours.

i'm not convincing myself of anything, or lacking high calorie foods.  it's a complicated situation... i'm not strong enough to work out very hard, and its extremely easy for me to overeat, for a number of reasons.  that's why i still track... i can easily eat 2000 calories in a meal and not feel full.  i have to learn to "eat normally", whereas this comes to others by instinct.

and some other people think i can just eat more and magically gain muscles, lol... a couple of reasons i got into this situation in the first place: my strength is shot, my muscles and joints are fucked, and i can barely feel anything anymore.  why?  I'm not sure, probably years of abusive "overtraining".

if you can imagine such a situation, you can see why i might be a little concerned about how best to eat, since just because i eat more doesn't mean i will get stronger.

and just to assuage your "concerns" ::), i'm still seeing the doctor, taking medical leave, and will be visiting a nutritionist soon as well.

all that said, despite the somewhat "fed up" tone of this post, I am thankful, for once, to have been on the receiving end of some relentless criticism.

Banana nut muffin

They range from 160 (strawberry cheesecake) to 210 (peanut butter and jelly), I think.

Interestingly, strawberry cheesecake is now listed at 170.

Those Quest guys took more effort in making it a somehow healthy one, compared with the average sports bar, but how much do we know about the long term effects of consuming 'designer ingredients' (can't find a better term) like isomalto-oligosaccharides, lo han guo and erythritol? I'm not saying that they will harm you, but I prefer ingredients straight from nature.

But I have fat over the abs so I need to shave that off.

Eating more would just result in flabs and puffy face.

taking big cf's lead, here's my 'paleo' breakfast:



i never thought i could without my mainstay carbs, so this is a little 5 day challenge for me.

shake:

1 cup almond milk
1 oz almonds
3 T cocoa powder
100g strawberries
50g blueberries
1 egg

the rest is broiled chicken breast, mushrooms and bell pepper sauteed in coconut oil

~900 cal

garlic + shallot + zucchini + shrimp, sauteed in butter, dumped on salad:



+ 1/2 apple
+ "Oh yeah!" Victory Bar (quest imitator)

~1300 calories

finished it off with:

more shrimp
broccoli in mayo sauce (shallot, ginger, red wine vinegar, cayenne pepper)
sauteed spinach
home made bar (whey, peanut butter, honey, coconut oil, salt)
square of chocolate
some sugar free preserves

~2500 calories altogether
