I guess this is in addition to their aging soviet era fleet of us made fighter aircraft that they can't get replacement parts for. They figure Israel and their best in the world weapons arsenal and manpower quality, can be countered by this.

These ninjas might be more useful than Irans 1960 era weapons and aircraft. These ninjas are more useful than Irans anti aircraft system as well. Those same systems were disabled in 2 minutes when the Israelis obliterated the Syrian reactors in 07.
