Bikes are fun but dangerous
And most of the time you can be the cleanest rider ever but some old hag will bump you and next thing you know you've got a broken back and a bike turned into mince

I disagree... I ride and I believe that most major accidents are 50/50.
Half of them are some careless cage driver... the other half are the biker doing something unbelievably dumb.

iits all up to the rider. ya someone could pull in front of you, so dont tailgate. dont ride like an asshole in traffic. be aware of everything around you. keep your foot on the break and your hand on the clutch. be ready to react. do those things and youll never crash. ive put 30,000 on over 3 bikes, and i got 15 on my 2008 r1. never even had a close call. and this is on new york city streets and highways.

...I'm from Vegas too...I know you seen some of these dumb asses in town doing wheelies through intersections or on the freeway doing crazy sh#t....the ones that give bikers a bad rap...and the reason insurance rates are high.

I got a R1 with all the add ons and fully chrome and i drove around like a maniac till a old hagcouldnt see me and put me in the hospital and fucked me outa work for 16 wks. Now i ride my bike like its a cruiser rather then a sports bike and i barely ride. Now im more into my 350z and the bike stays in the shed du to fear.

i saw a guy killed on a bike about 18 months ago.
whole head pushed into his body. just plain sick. stuck in traffic and i just stared at it. no blanket to throw over it, police sitll getting there, but nobody trying any medical. head just pushed into torso.

I've ridden for many years. And I've known people killed on bikes while doing stupid shit like that. Not only is it foolish, its selfish as well becuase they don't think about the lasting affect their decapitation will have on their family, friends, etc.

just don't ride it like a jackass and you should be fine. of course, there are no fender benders on a bike. you need to be willing to accept that.

Ghostrider is completely insane, very talented and totally fearless. He's retired from pro super bike racing and is also through with his illegal street stuff. Some crazy videos for sure.

I had a nice bike many years ago, the first first hour of the very first day I have a car pull a left turn right in fornt of me-boom, first accident within 60 minutes of owning the bike.

Good point. No matter how careful you are, an inattentive driver can kill you. Of course fault is of little relevance when you are lying dead in the street.
