I do front squats with twice my bodyweight for reps and my legs are "toned" and somewhat muscular, for sure not big.For really big legs you need to have either very good genes or take tons of drugs, just like with everything else. Most people are delusional thinking their legs are "toned and muscular" when 100m runners got bigger legs than them...
Funny how some guys think as soon as you use weight you will look like a monster..lol The legs are very,very powerful and robust. I know guys into athletics who squat fairly heavy too.
Yeah, I weight around 80-82kg right now and I will diet down to 75kg soon. My back squat is around 180kg, soon to be 190kg, deep. Legs are kinda OK but nothing to write home about. The only thing that is somewhat "big" or noteworthy about my physique is my back which has nothing to do with training, it just happened.
according to j. falcon just standing and walking around all day is enough of a training stimulus for some decent sized legs
