Bouncing at clubs for a living. Some of those clubs were not friendly (i.e. no metal detectors, heavy gang patronage, lots of guns and knives). We had a "don't ask" policy with certain clientele.
All we asked was that you not wear colors in one bar I worked. When I asked a Hell's Angel to take his colors off (there was a rival gang in the club), he recruited his buddies and pointed a gun at me and asked me to beg for my life. Probably should have died that night.
Needless to say, I begged and told him he could drink for free for the next two nights if he came back after midnight. I quit later that night. $8/hour wasn't worth it.

as for the question this thread asks.......
when I was 7 I did pull out of my grandma's hand and started screaming ICECREAM running into the street, there were no cars around
the next thing I know I'm 20 feet up in the air and I land on my back and the back of my head not able to breathe, all I hear is screams from every where
and people around me in a circle. I remember exactly when I was in the air and when I landed, it's flash memory, the terrible events you always remember.
I got tossed by the truck of this drunk driver who was driving with his eyes closed and going 150+ km per hour
