It's funny.  Reading some comments lately I've seen multiple people say the following:

Hunter Biden's stuff is all heresay, ignoring the evidence is real, the Bobulinski interview, the audio records.  No compromise.

The same people think that because Trump's legally filed tax returns include debt to legitimate creditors like Deustche Bank, he's compromised.

Reiner directed The Princess Bride and played "Meathead."

That qualifies him as a political expert worthy of influential powers.

Congressman, NAACP sue Trump and Giuliani over Capitol riot

The lawsuit accuses the former president of conspiring with two extremist groups to block the Electoral College vote count.
Feb. 16, 2021
By Pete Williams

Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., and the NAACP filed a lawsuit Tuesday against former President Donald Trump and Rudy Giuliani, accusing them of conspiring with two extremist groups to block the presidential vote count by storming the U.S. Capitol.

The lawsuit, the first over the Capitol riot to name Trump, said the attack was "the intended and foreseeable culmination of a carefully coordinated campaign to interfere with the legal process required to confirm the tally of votes cast in the Electoral College."

Jason Miller, a Trump adviser, said in response: "President Trump did not plan, produce or organize the Jan. 6 rally on the Ellipse. President Trump did not incite or conspire to incite any violence at the Capitol on Jan. 6."

Thompson and the NAACP said Trump, Giuliani, the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers shared a common goal "of employing intimidation, harassment, and threats" to stop the vote count. The riot was "a direct, intended, and foreseeable result" of the conspiracy, it said.

Their suit invoked the Civil Rights Act of 1871, commonly known as the Ku Klux Klan act, which allows lawsuits against government officials for claims that they conspired to violate civil rights. It was filed in U.S. District Court in Washington by a law firm specializing in such cases, Cohen, Millstein, Sellers & Toll.

Their complaint included many of the claims made against Trump by the House managers during the Senate impeachment trial and incorporated allegations made by the FBI in court documents accompanying criminal charges against members of the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers.

By repeatedly claiming that the election was stolen, Trump and Giuliani mobilized supporters and supported armed protesters, rejecting pleas to cool down the rhetoric, the suit said. At the Jan. 6 rally near the White House, the two "began stoking the crowd's anger and urging them to take action to forcibly seize control of the process for counting and approving the Electoral College ballots."

The lawsuit also quoted extensively from remarks Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., made after the Senate voted to acquit Trump on Saturday, including his statement that "there is no question that President Trump is practically and morally responsible for provoking the events of that day."

The suit asks a judge to rule that the actions of the defendants violated federal law and seeks unspecified monetary damages.

"Have they alleged a conspiracy between everyone? It's a close call," said Danny Cevallos, a Philadelphia-based lawyer and MSNBC legal analyst. He said courts have ruled that a conspiracy requires proof of acting in concert, with an agreement and some communication.

"There's no evidence of an actual meeting between, say, Trump and the Proud Boys. But there rarely is 'smoking gun' evidence of a conspiracy." The back-and-forth of their messages on social media, he said, "just might be" enough communication to establish a conspiracy.

Former presidents are immune from lawsuits over their official actions while in office, but they can be sued over conduct that was not part of their duties.

The defendants will likely take the next legal step by filing a motion to dismiss the case. If the lawsuit survives that initial move, the plaintiffs would begin to seek evidence through the discovery process.

Dems introduce bill to ban Trump from Arlington Nat’l Cemetery burial, block federal funds to any property with his name and more
americanmilitarynews.com ^ | Febuary 18, 2021 | Ryan Morganf
Posted on 2/18/2021, 10:27:59 PM by Morgana

Democrat lawmakers in the House of Representatives introduced a new bill on Thursday that would ban only former President Donald Trump from being buried in Arlington National Cemetery or having federal funds going to buildings bearing his names.

The bill, introduced by Rep. Linda Sanchez (D-CA), applies all its prohibitions to “any former President that has been twice impeached by the House of Representatives on or before the date of enactment of this Act.” The bill would specifically target Trump, who is the only U.S. president to have been impeached twice by the House of Representatives.

The bill states its ban on property named after a twice impeached president includes “any highway, park, subway, Federal building, military installation, street, or other Federal property.”

In a statement announcing the bill, Sanchez said the bill, barring federal funds to any other building bearing Trump’s name, could also prevent public schools from being named after him.

“I can’t imagine sending students in Southern California — or anywhere in America — to a school named in honor of a traitorous president,” she said.

Sanchez said federal funding would not go to a single thing bearing Trump’s name, “Not a building, statue, or even a park bench.”

Pathetic: NYC Mayor Shuts Down Skating Rinks To Punish Trump Organization
Hot Air.com ^ | February 20, 2021 | JAZZ SHAW
Posted on 2/20/2021, 3:11:39 PM by Kaslin

We learned last month that New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio was cooking up a plan to cancel all of the Trump organization’s contracts with the city. Those contracts involve the operation of a golf course, the carousel in Central Park and two skating rinks. The contracts were set to expire in April anyway, but apparently, the city’s showboating mayor couldn’t wait that long. It was just announced that de Blasio wants the Trump-owned operations shut down and moved out by February 26. (In one week.) That means that operations will end tomorrow to give them time to pack everything up. So any children showing up to go skating this week will find the rinks closed for business. (NY Post)

Skaters arriving at Central Park’s two ice rinks are in for a cold awakening next week — the rinks, which are both managed by the Trump Organization, are being shuttered by City Hall to punish the former president for the deadly Jan. 6 Capitol riot, The Post has learned.
The Trump Organization says its last day of operating the iconic Wollman Rink and the smaller Lasker Rink at the park’s northern end will be Sunday.

The rink contracts had been set to expire in April, but Mayor de Blasio has moved to ice Trump out a month early, effective Feb. 26.

This pathetic move by de Blasio is being done for partisan political reasons and he’s not even trying to hide it. One of his spokespeople said three weeks ago that “Trump has been impeached from operating the ice rink.”

Like a bad dart player who always misses the bullseye, Bill de Blasio has misfired yet again and hit the wrong target. He’s not doing all that much “punishing” of the Trump organization because they were going to be out in less than ten weeks anyway. But in his haste to generate another headline as a hero of the #RESISTANCE, the Mayor shut down the skating operations without having anyone lined up to take over and run them. So the rest of the skating season in Central Park has been “canceled” rather than Donald Trump.

As we discussed here when Bill’s plan was originally announced, Hizzoner has probably set the city up for some legal and financial problems while simultaneously icing out anyone who enjoys skating. Eric Trump had already made it clear that he would be going to court if de Blasio made good on his threat and terminated the contract early.

The Mayor claims that the contracts contain a provision allowing for early cancellation if the contractor is found to be engaged in “illegal activity.” The entire basis for his claim of illegal activity is the January 6 riot on Capitol Hill. But Donald Trump hasn’t been convicted of any crime related to that, nor even charged in a court of law. (Impeachment doesn’t count and he wasn’t convicted in that “court” either.) On top of that, Trump doesn’t personally operate the division of the company that runs the skating rinks. His son does.

The bottom line is that if Eric Trump takes the city to court and wins, not only will families not have anywhere to skate in the park, but the city’s taxpayers will take it on the chin for an expensive breach of contract lawsuit. The contracts for the Trump organization’s operations in the park are estimated to be worth in excess of $40 million. As if the city isn’t having enough financial difficulties as it is.

Bill de Blasio is a petty, vindictive person who is on his way out the door because of term limits. But he apparently couldn’t finish out his time in office without making a fool of himself yet again.

Wait...These Are the Top Three Concerns for Democratic Voters? Yes, It's Insane
Townhall ^ | 02/25/2021 | Matt Vespa
Posted on 2/25/2021, 10:28:46 AM by SeekAndFind

It shouldn’t shock us, but here we are again, folks. We can think Democrats can't be this dense, but they always find ways to amaze, don’t they? If you could guess what the top three issues Democratic voters are most concerned with what would you pick? Climate change? The economy? Taxes? Nope. It’s Trump supporters, white supremacy, and systemic racism. I’m not kidding. We’re facing job losses and a stagnant economy that will remain stuck in the mud if this minimum wage hike passes in the COVID relief bill. And Democrats’ top concerns are issues that won’t help a single person in America. It’s selfish. It’s detached. It shows that these people really don’t have a care in the world. It must be nice. Only the financially secure and the privileged can say they’re really, really worried about people with differing political views.

Fascinating look at the top concerns for Democratic voters: https://t.co/i5dP3fe26O— Glenn Greenwald (@ggreenwald) February 24, 2021

It’s indicative of the Democrats’ changing party base. It’s richer, more educated, coastal, and urban-based. The professional elites have taken over and it shows. Their problems…aren’t really problems. They’re not. White liberal problems and their solutions won’t help America. It’s only meant to stroke their self-centered and shallow interests. This is also a problem for the communities of color who have backed Democrats for decades. Rich white liberals give at disproportionate levels to the party. They’re the ones who fill the coffers. It’ll be their phone calls that are returned. The black community will once again be expected to sit down, shut up, and vote Democratic. You think that’s going to sit well with these voters, having rich whites hijack their agenda, their demands? I think this could get messy. Meanwhile, over the past eight years, the GOP has made gains in voter blocs that represent 71 percent of the vote.

Presidential margin shift, 2012-20

White Non-College, R+13
White College, D+21
Black, R+9
Hispanic, R+20
Asian/Other, R+13

Republicans gained in demographics totaling 71% of the vote, but white college voters shifted more sharply left.— Patrick Ruffini (@PatrickRuffini) February 23, 2021

Kristen Soltis Anderson, a co-founder of Echelon Insights, did a poll gauging the concerns of Democrats and Republicans, which discovered this insane little nugget. She did a thread about the findings. If you were wondering, GOP voters’ top concerns centered on illegal immigration, lack of support for law enforcement, tax policy, and liberal media bias.

Thread on the new @EchelonInsights polling about voter priorities and what Republicans in particular are looking for. Unlike traditional "top issue" questions, here we asked people to rate EACH issue on how much it concerns them. We tested these issues with everyone... pic.twitter.com/sNRIx0J7sz— Kristen Soltis Anderson (@KSoltisAnderson) February 24, 2021

Of the issues we presented to ALL respondents, the economic damage from COVID-19 is the top concern in large part because it is the most bipartisan - three-quarters of GOP and Dems are very/extremely concerned. pic.twitter.com/nhL8loHaw2— Kristen Soltis Anderson (@KSoltisAnderson) February 24, 2021

To the full sample, we did test some items that have big party gaps. But when doing a survey, you want to be mindful of "respondent fatigue" - asking people to rank 30+ issues would be A LOT. So we created a list of issues that are "likely primary issues" for each party....— Kristen Soltis Anderson (@KSoltisAnderson) February 24, 2021

Of the issues we asked ONLY of Republicans, illegal immigration, lack of support for police, taxes and liberal media bias are the top concerns. pic.twitter.com/Xaudn3dDUT— Kristen Soltis Anderson (@KSoltisAnderson) February 24, 2021

Of issues we asked ONLY of Democrats, their biggest concern is Donald Trump's supporters. pic.twitter.com/4MpbmtfB6u— Kristen Soltis Anderson (@KSoltisAnderson) February 24, 2021

Looking at the full range of issues asked of each side, Republicans still say illegal immigration and lack of police support are top concerns, while for Democrats concern about spread of COVID is top of the list, with Donald Trump's supporters" in second. pic.twitter.com/TQgKZgQ6Jy— Kristen Soltis Anderson (@KSoltisAnderson) February 24, 2021

There are two Americas. One is grounded in reality and wants to get this country back on its feet. And the other would rather wallow in a glass case of emotion whining about how Donald Trump has supporters. In other words, cry baby land. Democrats are simply a group of snobby, condescending elitists who don’t really know what’s going on—they just don’t.

Dave Chappelle says celebrities left ‘dirty notes’ for Trump at the White House

Dave Chappelle says celebrities were behind “dirty notes” left for Donald Trump at the White House shortly before he arrived at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Chappelle addressed the topic in a conversation with Naomi Campbell, in the latest episode of her YouTube podcast No Filter with Naomi.

Back in 2019, then-White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham said that when she and the incoming Trump team came into the White House, “we had notes left behind that said ‘you will fail’ and ‘you aren’t going to make it.’”

The assertion was disputed at the time, and denounced as a lie by some officials – but Chappelle has now offered a different version of events.

Remembering a party at the White House in the final days of the Obama administration, the comedian told Campbell: “It was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen – this was one of the last big parties the Obamas threw.

“And I’m not going to say these celebrities’ names. ...Remember when the Trump administration moved in, they said, ‘The Obama staff left dirty notes for us in all the drawers and all the cabinets?’”

Chappelle then said he “saw this happen”, adding: “I’m not going to say who did it, but it was celebrities writing all this crazy s*** and putting it all over there. I saw them doing it, so when I saw the news, I laughed real hard.”
