This shit always happens when alcohol is involved.

Girl gets drunk, starts talking shit (in this case, like many other cases, the shit-talking is directed towards a guy). Guy mouths off back and makes the girl feel insecure. The insecurity drives the girl to resort to physical action as she takes advantage of society's "you can't hit a girl" rule.

Well, guess what? This guy didn't give a fuck, and gave it to the bitch.
