Somebody posted that everyone except for Benfatto was off their usual conditioning.... But actually, Mike Christian was in top shape

It seems to me Haney was able to make a good life for himself and his family.

Christian has completely disappeared. Is he still alive ?

Benfatto is still trying to sell useless bodybuilding products to earn his life. However, he is still in good physical shape though (I've seen him last year at German FIBO).

What's most impressive is that as the years went by, he came in heavier yet his waistline was smaller/tighter. His chest and overall vascularity seemed to improve as well (at a heavier bodyweight). Most impressive 260 pounds on a 5'11" frame ever.

Agreed buy he was never 260 on stage. 243 was I believe was heaviest.

In his book he said he was 257lbs in 1989 and admittedly to heavy and not in the best shape. At his best in 1991 he was 249lbs

Lee is a real class act. More pro bodybuilders could learn a lot from him. I had the pleasure to interview him this summer at the 2014 NPC Southern States -

No way. Check out the weigh ins at the I think 89 Olympia or maybe it was 88. He was the heaviest guy at the show at 243. Strydom was like 228.

Also, Lee Haney is famous. While most don't even know who Ronnie or Dorian are. Non B.B. public I mean.

All things considered, Haney is arguably the greatest Mr. O of all time.

You are wrong. I have a Muscle and Fitness magazine from early 1990 and is states that he was 257 pounds in the last years Mr. Olympia.

Even being an 8 time champ, Haney is very underrated.  He's far better than most give him credit for having been.

That was 1988 that only Olympia that was officially weighed

Are you seriously questioning the journalistic integrity of Muscle & Fitness?

Two screencaps of Haney. The first from 1988, and the other when walking onstage in 1984
