Olympia 2010

Hidetada Yamagishi awarded tenth place,
look of the competitors surrounding him is telling
greats of the sport
all with the self belief of a winner

When I lived in LA for a year, Hidetada lived down the block from me. I was getting into my car, and saw him walking right in front of my place. I stopped him and we had a 10 minute conversation. I told him that Phil was a shitty Mr. Olympia and he just slightly smirked. I guess he didn't want to say anything bad about another competitor. He seemed like a nice guy.

Are you suggesting they all thought he should have placed ahead of them?

Why would you even "go there" talking shit about about one pro to another especially when the other is a Mr. Olympia winner?

You have to be creative in order to have an interesting conversation with a pro bodybuilder.
