Yup,taste horrible and are very cheap but supposed to naturally raise strength levels
I have Universal brand

x2. I use to take Universal brand. 6 with each meal. I think they worked but i always felt like my breath stunk and of course never pass gas within 50 feet of anyone. I think just regular amino tablets (like Universal Amino Tech) work about the same without the bad smell. Not too hard to swallow, you get use to it after a while. Get use to the taste too, but the smell thing is always there.

I bought a pack of 500 from Holland and Barrett today. 7.99. 500 tabs - Bargain.

It says take 1-3 per day - seems kinda low

1-3 is too low to experience any kind of noticeable results - even with the 30 grain tablets.
Even with the larger tabs like the ones Beverly makes, you need to take a good many – like 25-50 – but divided throughout the day, or else you’ll kill the people around you.

Taking only several at a time & spread out will help some with the digestion problems if you have any.
Most people who are dissatisfied with them usually take too few to gain any benefit.

If you are who I think you are then I know you were not alone in using these, and you probably were around guys who took a lot more than that!

When I used to train under Vince Gironda's diet plans, liver tabs were big. I'd take 30 a day in between meals. It could bloat you up, no doubt, but it was a cheap, quick source of protein. Then protein bars came out...

Vince Gironda swore by them.I remember first buying some in 1979 and instead of swallowing them i chewed them,then puked them back up.A guy i trained with in 83 was a top amateur in Britain and he took them all the time as well as eating pounds of grilled liver every day.When he dieted for a show he had grilled liver with salad 5 times a day.I know of a couple of people who used to blend liver up with water and drink it straight down.There used to be a supplement in the 80s called Liquid Liver,it tasted foul but you still drank it.

I remember reading that Fuller used to blend liver up with water.Some local guys in Nottingham used to blend guiness up with milk,eggs and bananas.

Ive read the same thing about Johnny, also that he would sleep with a vinyl garbage back over him to help sweat out water to get cut, wonder how much of those stories were true, great bodybuilder though!

Price-wise the aminos with hydrolyzed whey are one of the biggest rip-offs going. You're paying a lot for simple whey powder put in a capsule or pressed in a tab.
