True, but I have learned never to sleep on the Ravens. Flacco is my worst nightmare. He is the AFC's version of Eli.

The dude can either throw 3 picks or 3 TD's, and still have the look of a robot waiting to be programmed.

But I have said it before......Do I want the Patriots to win the Superbowl this year? Sure. Is my soul as a fan already satisfied? Yeah.

There are so many horrible teams out there. I was lucky enough for my team to be as great as they were.

Hey Grape, are you ready for round three?

Given your history at predicting your own team, that doesn't instill confidence.

With the heat of Jackson on his heels, Flacco throws for over 4,500 yards and 30 TD's with 14 picks on his way to another Superbowl MVP which will have him traded in a blockbuster deal where he will shit the bed again.  Ravens will have a top 5 D and a top 10 O which I beleive gets them to 10-6 or 11-5 and a spot in the big game.  Rams Ravens SB

Joe looking bad. I thought he’d make it through this year and get benched or traded next year but I think they put in Lamar within two weeks of coming out of the bye.

i'm thinking it's time the steelers rebuild, i move on from everybody older than 26 and fire the entire coaching staff

your ravens have zero shot at the super bowl, i'm not being a dick just telling it how it is

jackson won't be the first rookie running qb to play well as a rookie and then be cut 3 years later

Doubt Trace will see the field this Sunday as the 3rd stringer. An injury to RG3 would have to happen. RG3 is proving to be a very capable backup because of his similar skill set to Lamar in their offense.

Miami is probably the worst team in the NFL right now, so I'm not drinking the kool-aid just yet. The real test will be Kansas City on the road in week 3. They should dominate Arizona against a rookie QB in week 2.

Lamar looked good today, and seems to have real chemistry with Andrews. It’ll be interesting to see next week against the Chiefs if they can keep this up.

8 touchdown passes through 2 games. That's 2 more than he had in all of last season. His passing has improved so much since his rookie year. That 3rd down throw to Hollywood Brown was a thing of beauty in the 4th quarter and it helped seal the win. I'm curious as to how the Ravens will try to defend Mahommes. That dude is unbelievable. But the Chiefs' defense isn't that strong in my opinion. I think Andrews and the other TE's can give them problems.

Season is a long way from over. 14 games to go and I never would count out the Steelers as a Ravens fan. The Ravens have lost to the Steelers when Charlie Batch was the QB.

Yeah but the Steelers are already in a 2 game hole.  Browns are overrated with a team that will gel later but too many free agents to win for awhile.  Bengals defense is awful and will not get any better this year.

I think the Browns will be good by the end of the season after free agents gel as a team but they will be too far behind to catch up to the Ravens. The Browns did lose their best O lineman and their line is weak.

time to start the rebuild with a new qb, coach, and gm

rudolph looked pretty good, time will tell how good he really is and i'm excited to see how it plays out, i wasn't excited at all before ben got hurt

It is a great spot for Rudoph and the Steelers.  He can prove his worth as a starter and if he isn't any good the Steelers will draft a QB in the draft.  There are a lot of good QB's coming out next year.  This is how the Steelers got Roethlesberger to start with.

Ben has already gone on record saying that he intends to return for the 2020 season. He recently signed an extension that he says he will play out. I think Mason looks ok so far.

The Browns definitely have talent. Even though the Jets suck I thought the Browns looked good Monday night. OBJ showed why he's still a top 5 receiver and Myles Garrett is a monster. If Baker can cut down on the interceptions the Browns will do some damage.

Updating my own quote.  Steelers trade next year's first round draft pick for safety Mikah Fitzpatrick.  They are all in on Rudolph.

I see. Since you're a shitty Giants fan and you hold the distinction of beating the Patriots twice in the Superbowl, that gives you the gumption of saying that my team sucks.  ::)

Need I remind you that the last time the Ravens played the Patriots in the AFC title game, the Patriots got their ass handed to them. Your team won't sniff a conference title game anytime in the near future.

All good. Harbaugh just forgot to tell them this year the preseason ended at three games, instead of four.  ;D

If Balty makes the playoffs they will lose another 1st round game.  Jackson can't get it done in the playoffs.

He won a game last year, and beat the chiefs two nights ago. But, I won’t completely argue with you in that he needs to get his act together. I’m glad Baltimore didn’t extend him this offseason, although it could end up being a Joe Flacco situation which wouldn’t be all that terrible.

I heard someone say that he worked on his accuracy all offseason.  Didn't really see that in this game.  But he really is a weapon overall.

They actually did extend him by picking up his 5th year option. He salary jumps to 23 million in 2022. The real headache is that he's being represented by his mother instead of an established agent. The NFLPA is begging him to hire an agent but he won't do it.

His mom is a real piece of work.

It just doesn't make any sense to not have a reputable, experienced, and respected sports agent to represent you. He's going to be offered in the neighborhood of $250-300 million over 4-5 years and he wants to spare the expense of having an agent earn his 3-5%? It's just a stupid idea. There's specific language in those contracts that agents immediately understand and don't need to be explained to. Even though he'll have a lawyer present during negotiations, I'm sure the Ravens front office is thrilled to death to negotiate with Lamar's momma.  ::)

NYG playing hard this year.

Finally got good coaches on both sides of the ball.

The GM must be good too.

If Jones and Barkley can stay healthy they might make the playoffs.

My gut says KC because they’ve looked vulnerable this season and Buffalo is hot, but both of those teams are dangerous and good. I’d say it’s a coin flip. I believe Baltimore is the better team, just a matter of if they play like it. I thought Lamar was going to choke again, but came out on fire in the second half.

Watching it, with how decimated Buffalos LB corps was, I was hoping they’d pull it out at the end. Baltimore’s run d is amazing, but if the CB aren’t at full health, with Humphrey maybe out again, the passing game of KC may prove too good. I’ll see it first hand this weekend though, headed up to Baltimore for the game this weekend.

This is true. They shot their wad last week against the Texans. This game, they just couldn’t get it together and played scared and it hit them. Their defense held them to zero points in the second half and Lamar couldn’t do shit with it. Very pathetic performance on the part of Baltimore's offense, and I’m not using that word as some bitter fanboy, just the only way to describe their play in that game.

Yes.

If you told be before the game KC would score 17, I would have thought for sure Baltimore would have won.

It really came down to just a few key, good plays, and a composure issue on Balt.

Well, is it too early to change the thread title to 2024? They got Henry, I wonder if he’s got the two years left in the tank? I’ll take one year if he plays like a stud. Hopefully Keaton Mitchell is rehabbing and gets into the mix. That dude showed some serious flash. I’m keeping my fingers crossed it’s not another Dobbins situation.

He was good at one time. Did you watch him last year? He was terrible. Denver released him even though they still have to pay him 28 million dollars this year which is why Pittsburgh signed him for almost nothing (league minimum for a veteran). The Broncos tried to trade him but there were no takers.
