It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead.

All they need to do is program it to randomly maim, maul and kill people and it could potentially outsell Pitbulls.  An attack version of one of these could be the next big thing.

Future is a scary place, so many things can happen. More people should be aware that it's right around the corner.

Creepy, it looked like a headless donkey, and sounded like something you'd hear in an open air Arab market. How long before its got bombs strapped to it and is killing people in the Middle East?  Fucking war nowadays is trifling. Shit like this should be banned by another Geneva convention.

hope it's worth 50 million people being on food stamps for these psychopaths to devote money on building an army of future overlords

robots are way more important than people  ???

Good thing it moves very quickly and doesn't make a really loud buzzing noise as it sneaks up on its quarry.

That's what I meant. I remain positive about the future but bad outcomes are still possible. There are lots of good trends in the world, like more education and less war. The biggest concern is probably "unfair" income distribution.

Robot Cannon Kills 9, Wounds 14

We’re not used to thinking of them this way.  But many advanced military weapons are essentially robotic — picking targets out automatically, slewing into position, and waiting only for a human to pull the trigger.  Most of the time.  Once in a while, though, these machines start firing mysteriously on their own.  The South African National Defence Force "is probing whether a software glitch led to an antiaircraft cannon malfunction that killed nine soldiers and seriously injured 14 others during a shooting exercise on Friday."
