That's true. It's just that we are hearing calls from Eastern European NATO-members and the new interim 'government' in Kiev for NATO to step in.
And as we know USA = NATO. There is nothing any other member can do.

I don't know, you tell me. Russia is the only country with a President who clearly seems to be marching to a different drummer. Looking out for the interests of his people and country above all else (the opposite of leaders like Obama). Those at the very top who set the western agenda behind closed doors must be frustrated as hell with Russia. Not that I don't see that the same thing happens in Russia, just that Putin's "bosses" seem to be Russia first.

He has every right to protect parts of the country where the majority are Russian particularly with the civil unrest. Uncle Sam needs to stay out of Europe most of the problems are economic based and go back to the USA financial crisis which infected the world anyway, they have no credibility they print money that they can never possibly pay back to give as aid to nations, it really is a joke. If the us dollar wasn't the global reserve currency that is toilet paper would be worth more. The world is turning Russia China are not going to be dictated to by a man who tries to fix his economic problems by simply just printing more money, hopefully the move away from the US dollar will accelerate in the coming years.
