I am a conservative however, the National conservative party is a joke in Canada. They can't get their act together. I'm sure all Canadian conservatives would agree with me.Who else do you vote for? Not NDP or the Green party.

Haha. I partially agree with you. The Conservatives made a big mistake when they didn't elect Bernier as party leader a few years ago. He could have been Prime Minister.

For those that may not know, my dad took his life over 30 years ago.He survived the last part of WWII on an aircraft carrier as a gunner's mate in the Pacific ( summer 1945).He stayed in to serve for 8 years and was in the Korean War . After that he worked on hull weld integrity at a naval shipyard for 30 years.Growing up, at least once a year, my sis and I would hear him scream and pull my mom under the bed.He was having flashbacks and would yell at my mom to take cover as he covered her body with his.I think he had untreated PTSD from all his time in combat.With deep regret , my sis and I wondered if we could have gotten him into treatment.He was a proud man and rarely complained about anything. That wasn't his way.At his funeral, I was hurt and in shock, but I managed to walk up to his flag draped coffin .I quietly said, " Your example taught me how to be a man. You were there when I needed you, thanks Dad".I don't know who djliftthings is, but he'd need to be one hell of man to equal my dad.PS/ This is my last reply to any post made by djliftsthings.
