Kurds are pretty badass.
I remember reading a story of how ISIS captured some Kurdish freedom fighter. He spat in their faces while they cut off his fingers. They ended up partially beheading him and put salt in his neck wound. He just continued cursing them and sang pro Kurdish songs as he slowly died a painful death.
The guy telling the story said that he was probably the bravest and toughest dude he'd ever seen.

Did you stopto ask yourself how the guy telling the story is alive to tell you? They let him watch all this and walk away to tell the world..I see
