I think the lightest class at Canada's to win a pro car is the middle weight. I don't know me winning my pro card at 170lbs in my opinion im just not at the pro quality level ie muscle density hardness, and size etc. Another 15lbs and i would def love to compete in the 202 class.

Me and Ron had a long talk back stage about the sport and diet etc, he's a good guy was rooting for him to get his pro card this year.

Side note - Every time I think I have had enough with all the petty silly crap in bodybuilding and the forums, a really positive things happens.
Seeing a cool guy like you , do that job is what the sport is all about. The contest pics, the crowd in the venue, the posdowns are what makes BB worth being a part of.

And I heard they only gave out one pro card and the guy who won the middleweights has done so like 4-5 times consecutively. I guess they like guys like Ron (6 2nd places at nationals) and him hanging around every year. Brutal

Awesome. Matt, IMO I don't think training your legs more will help, I think genetically you have a slower recovery ability towards them, try reducing the volume in your leg workouts, I think you'll be pleasantly suprised. All the best.

You may be right. I don't really follow his posts that close. He just seem to give updates on his life. Remember people use to think Steve and Mike were pretty full of themselves always posting pics fishing for comments. And that would usually bother me anywhere else except here because this is a bodybuilding board and it just sort of comes with the territory.
But, again, you may be right. I, personally, have never seen him attack anybody or display undue arrogance.

Yeh i guess Phil Heath would be considered old and over the hill at his age by what the news anchor said, but yeh they don't know about the sport and that 28 years old is a fairly young age in the sport, as most top pro's are in the mid to late 30's.

Oh i agree Phil is a freak and a rare case for sure!. Im shooting for it in the next 2-3 years as gh15 said lol!, but for real if i can turn pro no matter what age i'll be happy. I always look to Ronnie he was in his mid to late 30's when he started to hit his stride. Age is just a number, what counts it how you look on stage when its all said and done.

Yeah, but Phil Heath turned pro at a relatively young age, 26/27ish?? and done fairly well. He is one of the "rare," ones in today's bbing scene.
So 27 is young in the sport but 28 is old? ???

Never said that, I was just implying Phil turned pro at 26/27 or whatever his age was. He was a pro at a pretty young age.
Back in the day you had Shawn Ray turning pro at 22 or 21 I believe.
