Read this slow and relax: He's already president, get over it. You're getting worse than Judi, Adumbass and that one crazy bitch Michelle with all these 'articles'. Being biased is fine but repeated posts about it (him) are making you look like a goddamned retard.

Bush I had a 72% approval rating after cameras showed Patriot missiles stopping SCUD missiles in Israel.

Most people are idiots and a Govt. cannot be run (day in day out) by polls.

Whatever, do you realize that Cap & trade, Health Care, Bailouts, etc, going so fast is literally a govt takeover of your life.

Show where Bush ever proposed anything like his.

I just posted an article about the details of the bill.  Tell me where I am wrong in saying that this Marxist in Chief is not trying to control your way of life in ways never seen before.

He is the same and worse than Bush, and that is why we need to not give him any more power to control our lives.  This is insanity.

The founders had it right by not allowing men to have too much power over the govt.  We have completely gone away from that to terrible results.

What Obama is doing to this country goes far beyond anything Bush did. The liberal Dems have used this opportunity to change the fabric of this country. They attack Capitalism, yet they all drive massive cars, live in multiple houses, send their kids to private schools, watch big TV's, wear expensive watches and clothes...all created by capitalism. They opt out of the very socialist programs that are being pushed on the rest of us. They somehow thought that mistrust of Bush and the election results ment that they could run us into the ground and destroy the country.

Soooo true.

I mean, we keep referring, idolizing, that group of hicks, A.K.A. The Founding fathers, for writing beautiful political discourse as if they were heavensent. Meanwhile they owed hundreds (if not thousands) of slaves and embarked in one of the most massive extermination campaigns known to mankind, namely the "disappearance" of the Native Americans.

It's like the Germans talking positively about Hitler and his urban planning ideals... It's insane.

I am not in favor of Obama and his economic measures but if you thing ANYONE here is going to riot... you should read up on American history.

Unless a problem affects a majority it will not spring the majority into action. And if it's only a minority doing the protesting they will most likely unload 60 trucks of cops that just graduated from the police academy and hand you a nice red, white and blue beating.

Know your place.

Believe what? Something that is in the history books?

Like I said to you before, cash king, I like where my ass is sitting right now. It may very well be an expensive seat, but I looooove it. You are the one who were looking to leave. Remember that?

Maybe not like a Shay's rebeliion or anything like that, but shit is really going to hit the fan.  People are going to cheat on their taxes more than ever and the gov t is going to get less revenue to fund all these schemes.  You are also going to see attacks on public officials.

People aren't going to do shit.

All Americans care about is the status quo.

I'll go a step further and say without gay marriage and abortion there's very little difference between parties.

Why don't we all stop talking about what "people" are going to do and talk about what each one of us is going to do?

Oh wait, that's communism.

Lifetime benefits guaranteed to WWII vets were substantially cut. I'm a vet and believe we went about 12 years with no increase in VA budget despite utilization increasing almost 40%. Who knows what all the vets from the last two wars are going to need, long term, but I hope the usual business doesn't go on.

I don't pretend to know everything VA related because I'm a few years off from that but guys like Jim Webb have done alot to try and get better care and more money. These are the things that will be cut if the economy continues to tank. These wars will produce a massive increase in VA related care on all levels.

Polls: Obama approval rating falls below 60 percent

From Paul Steinhauser
CNN Deputy Political Director

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- An average of five national polls conducted in July indicates that President Obama's approval rating has slipped to under 60 percent.

Fifty-seven percent of Americans surveyed approve of the job Obama's doing as president, according to a CNN Poll of Polls compiled and released Friday, with 36 percent disapproving.

In early June, Obama's average approval rating was 62 percent. It dropped a point to 61 percent in mid-June and stayed at that level through the rest of the month.

"Recent polls indicate that Obama's lowest ratings -- and biggest losses -- come on the public's perception of how he is handling the economy," said Keating Holland, CNN polling director.

Holland adds: "And the latest CNN/Opinion Research Corp. poll shows a double-digit drop in the number of Americans who think that the president has a clear plan for solving the country's problems. The public may not be as willing to give Obama the benefit of the doubt after six months on the job as they did when he first took office."

So how does Obama compare to his most recent predecessors six months into a first term?

Former President George W. Bush also drew a 57 percent approval rating six months into his presidency, in July 2001. Bill Clinton stood at 48 percent in July 1993. Two-thirds of Americans polled approved of George H.W. Bush's job as president in July 1989, and six out of 10 gave Ronald Reagan the thumbs-up in July 1981.

"Reagan, like Obama, got approval ratings in the high 50s and low 60s during most of his first summer in office," Holland said. "But as unemployment remained high, Reagan's approval rating dropped below 50 percent for the first time in November of 1981, and it stayed under 50 percent for the next two years."

The national unemployment rate rose for the ninth straight month in June, climbing to 9.5 percent from 9.4 percent and hitting a 26-year high. Nearly 3.4 million jobs have been lost during the first half of 2009, more than the 3.1 million lost in all of 2008.
Don't Miss

One state in particular has been hit especially hard.

Michigan became the first state in 25 years to suffer an unemployment rate exceeding 15 percent, according to a report released Friday by the Labor Department.

The state's unemployment rate rose to 15.2 percent in June. It was the highest of any state since March 1984, when West Virginia's unemployment rate exceeded 15 percent.

Michigan, which has been battered by the collapse of the auto industry and the housing crisis, has had the highest unemployment rate in the nation for 12 months in a row.

CNN's Poll of Polls consists of five national surveys with interviews conducted in July: the Gallup tracking poll (July 13-15); Ipsos/McClatchy (July 9-13); Diageo/Hotline (July 9-13); USA Today/Gallup (July 10-12) and CBS News (July 9-12). The Poll of Polls does not have a sampling error.

They better write the promise in blood because there's are gonna be a ton of disabled vets.

People care about soldiers, Vets... not so much. On some level I think people who want to believe freedom is free and don't like reminders limping around.
