Yep. Dexter, Roelly and Bonac are my height and Roelly being the biggest outweighs me by 50lbs. For the record, Flex is probably my favorite out of both open and 212 next to Bonac

This is true because they fill out better if it’s not overdone. Samir Bannout and Larry Scott are great examples of this.

Lunsford looks like the heir apparent. Should be able to refine that mass in the next year or so.

Most of the taller bodybuilders struggle to fill out and tend to keep the beanpole look, especially when natural.

Well, I am saying their general look whether standing alone or next to someone.
The guys of today just have an odd shape to them. Maybe too many drugs or they look too bloated or likely both. It's just a more weird appearance these days, standing alone or next to someone.

Mike Mentzer and Casey Viator were 5'8 and had a thick and powerful look, perhaps because they had a relatively narrow waist.

Derek has a good taper compared to most today (outside of classic). There are some other guys too with smaller waists.

Lee looked very odd with his long waist and midget legs, which is why he isn't one of the greatest, regardless of him having one of the best arms ever etc. Midgets just look fucked up with their big heads and odd proportions.

I’m not doubting that, on average, shorter bodybuilders don’t look as good as taller bodybuilders. You’re comparing apples to oranges.
I’m saying that in general, the shorter bodybuilders of the past look better than the shorter bodybuilders of today.
Of course, when all things considered, a taller bodybuilder will always look better than a shorter bodybuilder.
But that’s not the argument I’m making.

I’m saying that in general, the shorter bodybuilders of the past look better than the shorter bodybuilders of today.
Of course, when all things considered, a taller bodybuilder will always look better than a shorter bodybuilder.
But that’s not the argument I’m making.
There is a limit, probably 6'1-2, or else they will look lanky.

Now that pics and video of the Portugal Pro are out, my only knock on Nicolas Vullioud is that his structure looks kind of strange from the back, almost like he suffers from a mild form of dwarfism.
From the front, Nicolas kind of reminds of Matt Mendenhall in his hands on hips most muscular. Unfortunately, from the back he doesn't stack up to the best of the best.
