Ok, I'll play. How many would be dead if they could buy guns at the local K-Mart? Or if everyone had guns?7

Knife-wielding mob kills 28, injures dozens at China train station
(CNN) -- At least 28 people were killed and 113 wounded when a group of people armed with knives stormed a railway station in the southwest Chinese city of Kunming, authorities said, according to state news agency Xinhua.
It was an organized, premeditated terrorist attack, authorities told the news agency. Five suspects were reported dead, according to authorities.
No motive has been provided. Chinese President Xi Jinping "urged the law enforcement to investigate and solve the case and punish the terrorists in accordance with the law," according to Xinhua.
Yang Haifei, a resident of Yunnan, told Xinhua he was buying a ticket when a group of people, most of them in black, rushed into the station and started attacking others.
"I saw a person come straight at me with a long knife and I ran away with everyone," he said, adding that people who were slower were severely injured. "They just fell on the ground."
He said he sustained injuries to his chest and back.
The news agency reported that several suspects had been apprehended, and questioning at the site continued.
Doctors were seen transporting injured people to a hospital, the news agency reported.
A doctor with Kunming No.1 People's Hospital told Xinhua over the phone they're not sure of the number of casualties.
Xinhua said the Kunming railway station is one of the largest in southwest China.
The news agency quoted a 50-year-old woman whose older husband was among those killed.
"Why are the terrorists so cruel?" said Chen Guizhen, holding her husband's bloodied ID card.
That was ten terrorists, imagine how many they could have killed with automatic weapons !!!
Imagine if the 113 people had guns?!?!?!Imagine if 1 person had a flamethrower?!
OMFG?!?!?!
Not if they know how to throw it correctly right in your back. Why would they throw the knife on a low percentage attack and leave themselves disarmed against a hostile crowd. Anybody who thinks knife and gun attacks are comparable is an IMBECILE of the highest order.
Imagine if 1 person had a flamethrower?!
ZOMG!!
Or if 3.6 persons had a 1000lb laser guided bomb strapped to his peugot econo-box?
TERRIFYING!!
Imagine if the 113 people had guns?!?!?!Then the terrorists also would have had guns, and even more people would have been killed. It is hard for a gun nutter to understand basic maths isn't it? Anyway you cut this, guns would have made the situation far worse.
OMFG?!?!?!

Exactly. Every gun produced statistically results in 11 deaths and 7 rapes with (to a first order approximation) no cowboy hats being shot off someone's head as a show of marksmanship.Your work is consistently brilliant.
Lucky for us math science guys we know that dropping higher order terms in our expansion is acceptable in all cases but those with extremely low energy or temperature.

Hitler was a good man.He made sure not to ban guns for his stormtroopers or private bodyguards, just the millions of people he shoved into backbreaking public road projects, his shitty fail army, or his slave camps. Guy was a total gun-loving bitch.
The terrorists can get guns anyway you buffoon... They are CRIMINALS... CRIMINALS GET GUNS IF THEY WANT THEM.It is near impossible to get guns in China, even for Islamic fundamentalists. It may be hard as an American to imagine, but China is nothing like America, it has a fascist government that runs the place with an Iron Fist. This ridiculous belief that criminals can get guns whenever they want is absurd, that may be the case in America, but that isn't the case in Countries with strict gun controls. Here in Australia, it is very difficult to obtain a gun for criminal purposes. You need to stop thinking the whole world is as fucked up a place as the USA. The very reason it is easy for criminals to obtain guns in America is because you have ridiculously lax gun laws and an already large amount of guns in circulation, it's that simple. When you make it easy for a citizen to get a gun, you also make it easy for criminals.
Apparently you don't understand the basic fundamentals of people.
You're just plain nutters... you don't need a gun.

Americans are happy with the laws of their country and all attempts to change them have come to nothing, and will continue to do so. It's part of the constitution, unlike in those other countries you mentioned, where laws regulating them were passed long after the nation was formed. Moreover, you can't compare a country the size of Australia with one that has over 300 million people. In that kind of environment, guns are mandatory for home security at a minimum.

What does the population have to do with home security? America could have a thousand people, it would still be a dangerous place, that's because the American population is made up of dangerously deluded individuals where even the average persons mental health would be considered borderline deranged in any other civilised country.

And if you read their recent history, like in 1984, you'd see how thousands of Sikhs were killed and tortured when Hindus rose up against them in riots over the Gandhi assassination after the Blue Star incident.
Exactly why we're going to keep our guns.Exactly. Every time people who aren't living in America or understand its values try to analyze it, they come off sounding completely out of touch with reality.
You're not American, your ideals wouldn't work here, we don't want them, kthnxbye.
I'm very uncomfortable with a society where only the government is armed. :-XSee Connecticut for the first step.......looks bad.
Anti gun people ignore FACTS.Not to mention open gun sales aren't the cause of most gun-crimes in the U.S. or anywhere, for that matter. For every legally-purchased gun used to commit a crime, there's 50 that were purchased illegally on the street.
FACT: everywhere gun restrictions are in place, violent crime RISES. Period. Be it city, state, or country. Because you only disarm law abiding citizens... criminals DONT FUCKING PAY ATTENTION TO LAWS and keep their guns.... THEY ARE CRIMINALS.
It is indisputable FACT, but they choose to ignore it because liberalism is a serious mental disorder in which your brain cannot process anything except the fictitious little unicorn and bunny world they fabricate in their heads.

wow it seems that the gun nuts think that if guns werent illegal, the carnage wouldve been worse.
well they arent illegal in the US, and people are shooting each other left right and centre.
and massacres happen frequently.
and in countries where there are strict gun control, massacres and shootings are quite rare.
what part of logic am i missing?
(and i am talking comparative rates, not absolute, so its a per person basis)..
wow it seems that the gun nuts think that if guns werent illegal, the carnage wouldve been worse.Nah. Those shootings occur once or twice a month. And the media jumps on that with around-the-clock coverage, the talking heads chime in, Piers Morgan invites a few victims' family members, and the foreign media makes it seem America is some giant warzone.

lol. very convenient to correlate a psychopathic dictator with gun regulations...as if they were directly related...If their people were armed, they wouldn't have been forced into slave camps or sent to wars they didn't want to fight in for the plans of a megalomaniac and his goose-stepping gay secret police party. Correct. Because the military units that took their homes/property WERE armed.
are you saying that none of them wouldve raped their peoples if their peoples had a right to arms?...cos thats a looooong bow. and completely horeshit.
The definition of criminal is to break the LAW. A law would say give up your guns. What do criminals do again? IGNORE THE FUCKING LAW. I don't get why this is so hard for the anti gun fools. So you take the guns away from those who are most unlikely to use them for crime... but let the criminals keep theirs. Fucking brilliant.
If there was a SINGLE legal gun carrier in this crowd... no where near this many people would have died... be it law enforcement or civilian. Same with Virginia or Fort Hood etc. The problem was the lack of guns IN THE NON CRIMINALS HANDS.
Nah. Those shootings occur once or twice a month. And the media jumps on that with around-the-clock coverage, the talking heads chime in, Piers Morgan invites a few victims' family members, and the foreign media makes it seem America is some giant warzone.
I've been there 30 years, never seen a bullet or a shot fired near me. And I've been in most of the major cities, including hot ones like LA and Detroit. It's all liberal bullshit. A country of 315 million, in which more than half own firearms, and you get maybe 5-10 mass shootings a year. That's a drop in the bucket.
because when its law, guns become difficult to get. and additionally, gun crime might exist, but people dont end up in shoot outs.lol, guns are illegal in Russia yet any idiot can get his hands on one if he knows someone on the street
why is this so difficult for gunners to get?
imagine the cold war with no nukes... and you start to get the idea.

try researching it, like i did.Post your "research." So far you're just throwing out random 'facts' and asking us to believe it. That's called demagogy.
the facts dont lie..im going from what's publicly available on the subject.
i suppose that's a global conspiracy?
DO ... THE ... RESEARCH....I'm not your tutor. Do your own research and come back when you have a reasoned, provable case. Right now you're talking out your oft-fisted c-unthole.

Were not giving uo our guns.. our country was founded on owning firearms. Its in our culture down to our very bones. Were not coming to other countries telling them to legalize guns. .. were not bringing them over in our suitcases... so just let us be and tell the UN to fuck off and stop trying to force their idealistic european utopia bullshit on us.
You guys dont want them, dont have them. But dont tell us how we have to roll. Countries know an invasion of the US would never work because of our cultural identity and our love of firearms.. and frankly, thats all the justification needed

Gotta limit your knife capacity to 10 stabs.
Think of the children.
This 100% false and incorrect. Look up the facts.... more gun laws = more violent crime. No matter what your crazy little brain can process. Those are the FACTS.It's hard to imagine the 1st world country with the most gun ownership and also the most homicides of all Western Countries equating gun ownership with less violence. If your argument were true, America would be the least likely of all 1st world countries to get shot in, not the most likely as it stands now.

I don't know one person that's ever been shot or even shot at or seen anyone get shot.Everyone who makes the claim he did does not also live in the US or know anyone who does and can verify their assertion.

You made every word of this up. Look up the real numbers... Of your own country even. You are dumb and I don't reply to you anymore because of crap ass posts like this. Because you can't imagine the facts don't fit your fantasy... It must be wrong. Fucking priceless.4 pages in, not a single link to a study written by a reliable source or a statistical chart, nothing
Once gun laws are put in place... Violent crime rises above the levels pre new gun laws. Everywhere it ever takes place. I didn't say look at one sample of crime today you dumbass.
Look at violent crime before your country instituted stricter gun laws THEN look at the numbers now. Then get back to us.

derrrppp... youre setting up the question so that only your conclusion can be the answer.Homicide is the MOST violent of all crimes, nobody cares about getting a black eye from being punched. The only violence that truly matters is that which kills you, and you are more likely to be killed in America than any other first world country, and why because of mass gun ownership.
you should be looking at the chance to be wounfed in a violent crime, not chance to be 'shot'. Derp.
in a country with guns youre mire likelu to be shot!!
No shit sherlock.
besides, id rather be shot than stabbed, 100x over

Australians seem to have a good healthy independent streak like Americans. Sad that they gave up their guns. :(They didn't give them up willingly. Some guy went on a shooting spree at a beach in 1996 and their liberal political leaders chose to unilaterally seize firearms from EVERYONE in the country. Same thing the UK did after some guy shot up a kindergarten the same year.
lol @ you setting the goalposts around yourself.Conveniently ignoring most violent crime isn't homicide, it's assault/robbery.
only violent crime that matters is murder (mega lol)
impressive leaps of logic you got there

Lol. This is so priceless.I have done this a thousand times before on getbig, our homicide/suicide/violent crime went down. There isn't a source other than that of Gun Nutter sites that say otherwise. It is widely agreed upon by most Australians that our gun laws are an outstanding success. Again, it is only gun nutters who feel terribly insecure if they can't own a gun who dispute this.
1. Find date new gun laws implemented.
2. Look at violent crime rates prior to that date.
3. Look at violent crime rates after that date.
4. Compare the numbers.
5. When your defective liberal mind can't process the information, post what you just posted.
6. Get WTFPWNED on Getbig forever.
Thank you for making every post I made in this thread better in a single post. Back to ignoring you.

It's what the Soviets did with property. I would never live in a country that does that to its own people. Completely takes away their right to choose and decides what's best for them. FUCK that.

Hey E Kul tell us more about your pitbull tattoo.I always know I have owned hearts and minds when a pitbull reference comes along, I don't know why you bother, I deal with the pitbull issue on a daily basis. I deal with those Nutters as well, they have just as much in common with gun nutters. Dealing with irrational, unreasonable and violent people isn't new to me, they don't intimidate nor scare me. If anything, I feel deeply sorry for them that they live their lives in abject fear and misery.
Hey E Kul tell us more about your pitbull tattoo.
Funny... When I was in Australia, I had many people talk to me about how great the US was for having all of those guns... It certainly sounds to my that you sound like the nutter to the Average Australian... but that's just my own personal opinion of what I heard with my own two ears. What a load of rubbish, I have lived here for forty years, and nobody ever talks about guns, other than Nutters. Like attracts like, you obviously attract other Nutters, As for the average Australian, they appreciate our gun laws and the issue is a dead one in their eyes, well taken care of decades ago. Like I said, gun nutters seek out only those who agree with them and reinforce their personal bias. The only time Australians talk about guns is when there is a mass shooting in America and everyone comments how crazy Americans are, that's it really.
Good job reposting this story directly below this thread, lol
maybe upping the body count was intended to make guns sound worse or something
even though it was a stabbing
lol

He can't recover this thread... So he made it about Islam cause he knows he can get support there. It is EXACTLY like I said. They can't process facts. When they don't fit their unicorn template, it short circuits their brains and they post stuff like how the numbers were tampered with or made up. It truly is a defective brain.lol
hahaI could''t care less about guns, I live in a country that doesn't give a fuck about them and has sensible laws regarding them. It's the getbig gun nutters that are passionate about them, all I care about is the truth, and American gun nutters constantly try and sell lies. I would have far more respect for them if they were just honest about their selfishness and insecurity. If they just admitted mass gun ownership doesn't make everyone safer, but they just want to own one anyway for whatever insecurity it is they feel, I would respect them far more than trying to push lies and propaganda down everyones throats.
E-Kul is so passionate about this stuff that it's scary... More scary than my guns. ;D
lol
lose argument about gun violence
resort to invented statistics
lose argument about crime rates, say only homicide matters
then start laying into Muslims because they're obviously unpopular
? ? ? ? ?
profit!

Funny how in this instance, you're the irrational unreasonable one.I think it is fair to say you are a model template for what a brainwashing victim looks like! You make me appreciate more and more that I live in a country where people like you are considered borderline lunatics and fanatics. Sadly, gun nutters treat everyone like they are imbeciles, don't you think if gun ownership was the key to less violent societies, everyone would simply own a gun.
About guns... Pit Bulls... whatever.

If they just admitted mass gun ownership doesn't make everyone safer, but they just want to own one anyway for whatever insecurity it is they feel, I would respect them far more than trying to push lies and propaganda down everyones throats.
Bull shit.Your arrogance is off the charts, now you are an expert on a country that you visit occasionally. Oh Brother, it is obvious you walk around with blinkers on, travel Australia and spout all your gun nutter nonsense, and see how much aggreement you get. The fact is, we are a polite people, we will nod politely and when you leave talk about the crazy American.
I don't have to seek anyone out... I visit Australia to work and I work for a VERY liberal company and they hire VERY liberal people, yet some how... The people I meet in Australia still love the guns.
Sure... They are into green shit and wanting renewable energy and all of that hippie stuff, but they still understand that guns save people from tyranny... only buffoons do not understand it.
The USA was founded on the gun... to fight tyranny... It used IT'S guns to save Europe and Asia from tyranny in the 1910s and 1940s and it will ALWAYS have guns to make sure that tyranny doesn't get the opportunity to overrun people and leave them with no recourse.
The fact you can not understand it is quite alarming to me and shows how willing you are to get fucked over by anyone who has more balls than you do.
Trust me E-Kul, guns are a non issue here too unless guns are your personal hobby or something (which is fairly rare).I'm sayin!
Most people have guns, but it's not like we talk about them, or show them off to each other.

I think it is fair to say you are a model template for what a brainwashing victim looks like! You make me appreciate more and more that I live in a country where people like you are considered borderline lunatics and fanatics. Sadly, gun nutters treat everyone like they are imbeciles, don't you think if gun ownership was the key to less violent societies, everyone would simply own a gun.
I'm sayin!
there's gun nuts in America, sure
just like in other countries
but they're a tiny fraction of the population of gun owners
most just own one and keep it in a safe or secure location for emergencies or target practice (if you're into it as a hobby)
but we rarely talk about them or think about them
we just like to know we have them ;)
Are you just trolling us in this thread?nah
I got the idea that you were some radical leftist. ;D
I always know I have owned hearts and minds when a pitbull reference comes along, I don't know why you bother, I deal with the pitbull issue on a daily basis. I deal with those Nutters as well, they have just as much in common with gun nutters. Dealing with irrational, unreasonable and violent people isn't new to me, they don't intimidate nor scare me. If anything, I feel deeply sorry for them that they live their lives in abject fear and misery.

Give it up guys. Every thread he posts in ends the exact same way. He owns himself into oblivion. There really is nothing more to say after the NRA made up the numbers.Word. This is getting stale, like Jay Cutler's posing trunks after a G4P session. I'm going to bed.
His brain can't process what your saying. It simply doesn't work right. All the info says so, all of us disagree with him, there is no proof for anything he says, but he is 100% convinced he is right and everyone else is wrong.
It's textbook liberal psychosis. Pointless to argue. Nothing will convince him otherwise because his brain actually can't process the information.
nah
I was trolling you THAT time
and you just didn't get enough material from me to be able to tell where I actually stand on the issues ;)
I've been owned...I think Uncle Junior is the current undisputed champion of writing completely nonsensical bullshit for the purpose of an online personality to hoodwink people on here
You're the master....... haha
I think it's fair to say that you have absolutely no concept or understanding of what it takes to have a set of stones and stand up for yourself or others. You seriously have no idea do you, it is because of strict gun laws we can walk down the street and NOT fear a gun. And what is this rubbish about miles of ocean and shore lines being invaded, you have a screw loose my friend. Honestly, little of what you say makes any sense. You seem to project constantly, it is because YOU fear guns or violent crime that you feel a need to OWN a gun, I neither fear guns or violent crime precisely because we have strict gun laws.
You are fortunate that you have many miles of ocean to stop attacks on your shore lines... That's something other people do not have and why the US and their guns have had to come in to help other people.
I pray that one day your country is not a casualty of it's own insecurity. I have far too many friends there to see them enslaved by an unjust government because people like you are too scared to walk down the street for fear of a "gun".
You seriously have no idea do you, it is because of strict gun laws we can walk down the street and NOT fear a gun.
This isn't arrogance... This is simply discussions I have.I have ZERO concern about America and it's constitutional rights, my concern is warding off fringe dwelling right wing nutters from infiltrating what is a good Country (Australia). I do the same thing when Australian Gun nutters speak out, which is rarely these days, as we don't have too may of them and they recognise that they are considered borderline lunatics as there is no need to implement mass gun ownership in a safe country such as Australia that has an unprecedented quality of life. Like I said, I am an advocate for reason and critical thinking, and I challenge the irrationality and fanaticism everywhere I find it.
I'm not the one sitting around talking about how terrible Australia is... For some reason, you have some vested interest in the constitutional rights of the USA... Why is that?
Why is it someone who is SO HAPPY that they live in a place without guns gives a flying fuck what a country that SO HAPPY to have them does?
Please explain?
I certainly don't care that you DON'T HAVE THEM, so why does it matter one little teeny iota that a country so far away has 300 million of them.
Why do you give a shit?

We don't fear guns either, so what's the difference? This is the issue, gun nutters CANNOT be honest if their life depended on it. Suggesting that gun rights is a non issue in America is an absolute lie. And if you don't fear guns, why own one for self protection, it makes NO sense.
You've been brainwashed by the mainstream media or something, guns are as much of a non issue here as they are there.
Basically, the odds you'll be a victim of gun violence in Australia are EXTREMELY LOW and the odds you'll be a victim of gun violence in the United States are only VERY LOW.
From what I've read, Australia is wising up and asking the leftists to fuck off? That's just because the Liberals recently got in, they are right wing. The country swings between the two parties, it is just as likely the left will win next time around and the merry go round continues. Having said that, it was a conservative right wing liberal government that implemented the strict gun laws. Our citizens are different than the yanks, mass shootings actually effect our collective psyche, we would rather give up a few rights than worry about the safety of sending children to school, or eating out in public etc etc.

Australians have more reason to worry about being victimized than Americans.
he doesn't understand.
We have no fear of guns. I walk down the street every day. No fear.
He talks about projecting and that I make no sense.
Ask the French, British, or Jews what they think of our guns.
They all appreciate it.
He does not and will not ever understand because he ok with servitude.
Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.Another dangerous generalization, I don't know why people quote such cliches and assume they are true. Civilised society is a compromise between liberty and safety. The average citizen is so far from being free it is not funny. The irony is, all the american government needs to do to make citizens think they are free is give them a gun.

Australians have more reason to worry about being victimized than Americans. You do realise an assault in Australia can be as simple as someone yelling abuse at you. Oh, I am so afraid, someone might yell at me, I need a gun. ::) Thanks to the feminists, a man who has an argument with his wife can be charged with unlawful assault.
he doesn't understand."Is that a Union Jack that I see on your flag?"

Most States in the US still are free, the radical liberals are trying to end that though and take us all the way of New York and California. :-XAmericans have the strangest concept of freedom. I would argue if you aren't free to send your children to school without fear of them being murdered by a crazed gunmen, you are probably the least freest country in the world. Being more likely to be killed, doesn't make you free, it is a sign of serious imprisonment.
You're under the impression that everyone has a gun for self protection. When realistically, over 50% of gun owners (or more) in the United States have their guns locked in a cabinet or safe 24/7/365.
Do you honestly think most people here are constantly thinking about guns?
;D

He confuses two separate issues.
Guns are to protect us from oppressive governments. Not from people walking around every day.
They are to keep the people in charge and the government from getting out of hand.
That's the way we like it.
You're twice as likely to have you're home invaded as I am in the United States, and criminal burglars don't care about gun laws obviously. I can honestly see how you would become so obsessed with the thought of having the ability to defend yourself and your family living under such circumstances. Why do you cite known biased websites that print bogus information. Nobody but gun nutters believes that nonsense. The robbery rate in Australia is about 56.0 victims per 100,000 persons and in America it is 119 victims per 100,000 persons. These are both from Government sources (2010)
Fortunately for us, it's a non issue.
Hebrews?
I have a relative that has to drive through a very high crime urban area daily to get to work,
Why do you cite known biased websites that print bogus information.
That was ten terrorists, imagine how many they could have killed with automatic weapons !!!
If those people had been allowed to carry firearms, the stabbings would've ended much more quickly.
Gun control makes people unsafe. The end.
Then the terrorists will adapt by using a IED, or running a large truck at high speed through a crowd of shoppers in a open air market....
28 is still less than the 32 that Korean guy killed and 20 wounded at Virginia tech
and he was one guy with a .22, not a mob

Dogma, it ain't just a name for a Pitbull...
it was a knife attack so why debate guns, makes no sense....Because gun nutters think if you can kill someone with a knife, then guns are no different. They seem unable to tell the difference between the killing efficiency and potential of a gun compared to that of a knife .
:o
Homicides in USA 2011 - 14612
Homicides in Australia 2011 - 244
This means in one week in America, more people are murdered than in a whole year in Australia.

Brutal owning.
I always liked this story on our gun controlYou call that a story? It's a comedy sketch for a well-known liberal late night talk show called The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.
Luke doesn't operate on common sense, he operates based on emotions provoked by his keen sense of fear and terror. His theory that Americans live in fear can only be based on his never having stepped foot in the country.
Possibly his dumbest post ever.I am shocked by those two post.
Population in USA 315 Million14 times the population 60 times the homicide rate. Logic has nothing to do with it. Cold hard facts
Population in AU 22 Million
Great logic ::)
His theory that Americans live in fear can only be based on his never having stepped foot in the country. It's not my theory, it's what gun nutters keep telling everyone, they are scared of their government, they are scared of crime and home invasion, they NEED a gun to quell their FEAR. That's all you ever hear from the Gun nutter crowd is how scared they are. Not my theory, it's words straight from the Nutters mouths. And to make it laughable, when called on it, you act like children claiming "We ain't scared". It's a sad state of affairs.

During a question and answer session with students, Massachusetts Institute of Technology Linguistics Professor Noam Chomsky asserted that America’s “extremely unusual gun culture” is a “reflection of fear and desperation” in an “unusually frightened country.”
“A large part of the population thinks we just have to have them to protect ourselves. From who? From the United Nations, from the federal government, from aliens, maybe from zombies,” Chomsky said, arguing that gun culture is rooted in fear of future retribution.
lol @ protect yourself from zombies
From the United Nations, from the federal government,
If you don't want a gun, don't buy one. Simple really. If your particular country prohibits you from gun ownership unless you're a criminal (because criminals don't obey the law), too bad. Laws don't stop criminals from doing anything to anybody. That's a nice fantasy you have there. Does that occur to you when reading your superman comics or after reading about the latest mass murder by a crazed gunman?
An armed person just might.
Clearly an anti gun person expressing his opinion, what's your point? My point was pretty clear, that Americas extreme gun culture is fueled by a paranoid, intense, overwhelming FEAR. Those who own guns for protection are scared little men terrified of their own shadows. Sadly, the average gunnutter is an insecure little man incapable of even admitting his deep level of fear. Instead they like to posture and beat their chests in an attempt to convince others they aren't scared and are infact real men. Their obsessive need to own guns exposes them for the frightened boys that they are. Hope this helps.
Oh and I believe he answered his own question.....

E-kul looking good in this threadYou do realise how ridiculous and unhinged you sound when suggesting that a western government wants to take away their citizens guns so they can dominate and kill them. Tell me, Australia has been disarmed for nearly 20 years, when does the dictatorship start and the gulags start to fill up? Please tell me

Why would I say otherwise? To do so would be a lie. You can think for yourself and arrive at the same conclusion as others, can you not? Of course you can! That you think my conclusion is wrong does not make it so nor does it make the fact that I arrived at it myself by way of reason and logic which in turn was taught me by my parents as well as others throughout my life.
Be well.

So you read a book written by a quack, believe every word and somehow Americans are the brainwashed ones?I don't believe every word Chomsky says, he makes some very valid points that are easily verified with some basic observation. You only need to observe America's gun culture from outside of it to understand how such indoctrination and thought control works.
Quite interesting how if YOU say you think for yourself, you're a "nutter", but if someone else says they do, then they are a free thinker.
Very interesting indeed.

Or are you trying to say that the American people have brainwashed themselves because the vast majorty agree on our Constitional Right to keep and bear arms? If so, then you are saying that any mass of people that agree on a topic are brainwashed to agree?

I believe your government has brainwashed you to believe that the US has a brainwashed population, it's the typical criminal rhetoric that your country was built on.
What really boggles my mind is how someone can not think that having arms is important to liberty given the current climate of the world. That's what happens when your government brainwashes the citizens, they are willing to give up their rights and believe that the government will take care and defend them at all times.
Simply take a look at what's going on in the Ukraine and tell me that if all of the citizens had guns, they would not be able to turn back Russia.
The US will not have to worry about that... 300 armed citizens is a very vast army... Even Australia's 22 Million would turn back most military units in the world.
The historical backing for gun ownership is staring us right in the face, but some of us refuse to see it.
That's what happens when your government brainwashes the citizens, they are willing to give up their rights and believe that the government will take care and defend them at all times. That is very true... My friends and I have always said, my blood in my mud.

That is an opinion. What a load of rubbish. They don't invade you because of your military might. The rest of the world understands the fundamentalist attitude of America and it's willingness to use nuclear weapons, it has zero to do with your guns. Why do you think America is so worried about Iran getting nuclear weapons, because there is a rogue country that doesn't give a fuck and will drop a NUKE on America or one of it's allies.
You know what's a fact?
That other countries don't try to invade the US because we have more guns than they do.
That's a fact.
Travelers love coming to America, a land many of them have seen via exports from Hollywood. They rave about the landscapes, the recreational opportunities, the vibrant cities and the culture.Summary: America is a fucked up place devoid of reasonable and rational people.
But like international travelers anywhere, foreigners visiting the United States from other countries can be flummoxed by some of what they encounter. Fortunately, their fellow travelers have plenty of advice. The picture they paint portrays Americans as relentlessly cheerful yet sensitive folks who just might raid your fridge.
What outsiders say about the U.S. will strike an American as very true, very strange, or both. Here (with some help from Google Translate) are some travel advice gems from around the world.

From Latin America:
It’s probably best not to drink the water. “There are strict laws regarding Hygiene eating places that must be met, so that restaurants and even street stalls are safe. In some areas you can take the tap water. Bottled water is available everywhere and is most recommended.”
From Germany:
Americans’ social boundaries are very inconsistent. “Things like “We should get together sometime” doesn’t really mean anything, unless the same people keep mentioning it to you."
“During a party at your house, don’t be surprised if Americans will just walk up to your fridge and help themselves.”
From Switzerland:
Forget public nudity, intoxication or urination. "The legal system can be very different from one state to another and is often inspired by moral principles stiffer than in Switzerland. For example it is forbidden to bathe topless or without shirt (kids), urinate on public roads or photograph partially unclothed children (even at home). It is forbidden for people under 21 to drink alcohol. Similarly, people who drink alcohol in public or carry alcoholic beverages without concealing from the eyes are guilty of an offense."
From France:
Do take a road trip across the West, but don’t be weird about American Indians or cops. “Do not miss and be certain to visit driving in a country that venerates it, but scrupulously respect the speed limits, the constabulary of the United States not kidding ... Remember that Indian reserves in the western United States are economic and human realities, not museums."

From Italy:
Tipping is fraught with misunderstanding. Q. Is it true that I have to "force" to tip at all? A. It is not mandatory to tip, however, it is strongly recommended, because in many cases it is the only entry of workers. Generally in a restaurant, in the cab, and in many places where there is a service gratuity is 15%. Since the bill that will take you specify the city tax of 8.875%, is sufficient to double that sum, without bothering to do the calculations. In the hotel you leave two dollars per day per person cleaning. Obviously you do not leave tips in places like McDonalds or Starbucks.”
From Australia:
You will probably get sucked into a political discussion. “Americans are REALLY opinionated. And they want to know what you think about the government, about politics, about current issues. A typical conversation might go like this: ‘Hi I’m Matt. Nice to meet you.’ ‘The name’s Bob. Where you from Matt?’ ‘Sydney, Australia.’ ‘Oh I see. You’ve come a long way. So what’s your take on Obamacare?’”
Did we mention the violence of U.S. toilets? “A veritable swimming pool of water greets you when you open the toilet lid and when you flush, it all goes down the drain in a huge rotating whirlpool.”
From the UK:
America might give you fever. “There are occasional outbreaks of mosquito-borne diseases, including West Nile virus, eastern equine encephalitis and dengue fever.”
Americans are proud of their Old World connections, no matter how tenuous. “When an American announces that they’re part Irish, part Polish and part Moldovan because their great-great-grandparents hailed from these far-off lands, you might find yourself snorting dismissively. Try to hold off until they’re out of earshot.”
From India:
The U.S. doesn’t offer much in terms of shopping. “Based on my experience everyone need to bring almost every basic thing you need on a daily basis.”
From China:
Americans love to follow rules, even when no one is looking. “Americans are such strict rule followers. I witnessed this once sitting on the sidelines of a high school dodge ball game. To me, it was goofy, a little violent, and very American. It struck me that my classmates followed the rules of the game so strictly. Even when no one noticed that a person had been hit and he could have kept playing, he voluntarily gave himself up and left the game. I was deeply impressed by how much people honored the rules even when they are not seen."
From Russia (via Mental Floss):
Gifts are not a big deal. And did you know bribery was illegal? “Gifts: Americans do not expect them. On the contrary, an unexpected gift while conducting business can put an American in an awkward position. Such things for Americans suggest reciprocity.
“Business gifts in the U.S. are not acceptable. Moreover, they often cause suspicion. Americans fear that they could be construed as a bribe, and in the United States that is strictly punishable by law.”
Socializing with Americans can be tricky. Sports help. “Showing up at a business associate’s home uninvited in the United States is not acceptable. You may be invited to a picnic — if you’ve known each other for several years and are social outside the office.
"As a rule, the invitation will be only on a weekend, and you don’t have to prepare for something extravagant. Everything is the same as ours, only with far less booze. Bring something sporty — ball, badminton, Americans are certainly fervent fans of these things.”
"Phone etiquette in America usually involves the gradual end of the conversation, confirmation agreements and standard closing remarks. By the way, 'see you later' should not be taken literally. That is a courtesy, and no more... Russian conversational patterns often sound harsh to Americans. Statements such as, 'You’re wrong,' can be offensive. This can be interpreted as 'You are telling lies!' Therefore it is better to say, 'I do not think I can agree with this.'"
Americans really are as cheerful as they seem. “Americans and Russians say different things when faced with the same situation. Seeing the man who had fallen in the street, an American asks, 'Are you all right?' Russians will inquire: 'Are you ill?' We see a victim of the incident; they see survivors. Survivors are perceived as heroes. Where we 'aren’t sick,' they 'stay well.' We discuss the problem. They discuss issues and items on the agenda."
“Americans: they are a nation that truly feels happy. These people get used to smiling from the cradle onwards, so they do not pretend to be cheerful. The desire for a successful happy life is inculcated from childhood.”
The women are a little uptight, and they don't appreciate chivalry. “US etiquette prohibits flirting with a woman who is not your girlfriend or wife. If you are not acquainted with a woman, whether she be in a restaurant, on the street, or on the subway, do not look at her legs, etc. Americans could easily call the police on you, even for just ogling her.”
“Welcome and introductions: men and women tend to shake hands. Mutual kissing and kissing ladies' hands is not accepted. Also, women play a greater role in business. Often they insist to be treated exactly as an equal and not as a lady. In this regard, it is not acceptable to be excessively gallant, and you should avoid personal questions (do not find out whether she is married).”
From Japan (via Mental Floss):
(Photo by Nikki Kahn/The Washington Post via Getty Images)
American food is not subtle. American food is about big, bold taste, and is indifferent to subtleties. Hence "hidden ingredients" are seldom seen. Sugar, salt, pepper, oils, and routine spices are used for family meals. There is no such thing as purely U.S. cuisine, except the hamburger, which isn’t made at home so much. There is no such thing as purely U.S. cuisine, except for maybe the hamburger, and not many varieties that can be cooked at home. There’s not much emphasis on seasonal foods. Basically, they like sweet tasting foods, as well as foods that are high in fat and calories.
Watch out where you wear hip-hop clothes. “In Japan, hip hop clothes are considered stylish. But in the United States, it is wise to avoid them, as you might be mistaken for a member of a street gang.
Nobody is impressed by how much you can drink.“In the U.S., they do not have a sense of pride if they drink a large amount. Rather, if you drink a lot, there is a sense that you cannot manage yourself, and you can lose respect from those around you. Being drunk doesn't excuse your actions, and to drink alcohol habitually is a sign of alcoholism. Alcoholics are seen as mentally weak, and are ostracized by society due to their inability to have self control."
(Photo by Michael N. Todaro/Getty Images)
They tend to laugh out loud, even the women. It’s how they show they’re honest. “In Japan, when most woman laugh, they place their hand over their lips so it does not show their mouth. It is disgraceful to laugh by loudly opening the mouth. In reality, many adult males do not laugh. There is the saying, ‘A man should not show his teeth so much when laughing.’
“In America, when men or women laugh, they do not turn away. In general, they face front, open the mouth, and laugh in a loud voice. This is because in America if you muffle your laugh or turn away while laughing, you give the impression that you are talking about a secret or name-calling. It comes across as vulgar and insidious. ”
Below: Bostonians react to being declared America's third snobbiest city (after San Francisco and New York).
Summary: America is a fucked up place devoid of reasonable and rational people.
The shit you have to believe just to justify mass gun ownership is ridiculous beyond belief.
What you're really saying is that you're afraid.Oh OK. If I get really scared I will seek to obtain a gun. But seriously, you have to laugh at a bunch of scared people so afraid they fear living without a gun remaining unconscious of their fears and projecting them onto everyone else.
Your entire argument is a projection of the fear YOU have.
It's ok to admit you are scared... We certainly can't think any less of you.
Oh OK. If I get really scared I will seek to obtain a gun. But seriously, you have to laugh at a bunch of scared people so afraid they fear living without a gun remaining unconscious of their fears and projecting them onto everyone else.
Remember that time you had a 5 page meltdown about the "Do you even lift" youtube video?lol, you mean you melted down because I thought your comedic hero was an insecure moron.
;D
;)
;)
I can't believe you guys are still even arguing with Ekul. Mentally ill people cannot be bargained with or convinced of anything. He is as likely to be punching himself in the side of his head and saying "guns are bad. I am good" over and over again, as he is to see a chiwawa and see it is as a fire breathing dragon pitbull.Twig Dick spot on in this thread.
There seriously is no point in arguing with crazy. Oh yeah... And Chomski's audience IS Ekul. I'd rather read the Sunday comics.
Oh OK. If I get really scared I will seek to obtain a gun. But seriously, you have to laugh at a bunch of scared people so afraid they fear living without a gun remaining unconscious of their fears and projecting them onto everyone else.
Lunatics will find a way to kill people with anything. Guns are to protect the innocent.
Only thing is I don't get is when "Second Amendment" is brought up as the guns and the landscape of America was very different when the constitution was written to what it is now.
;D
Lunatics will find a way to kill people with anything. Guns are to protect the innocent. The innocent, like the children from Sandyhook Elementary School .
The innocent, like the children from Sandyhook Elementary School .All schools should have a minimum of 5 armed officers on staff.
You still keep talking about fear.lol @ tyrannical oppression. Do you even read what you write. You are afraid (FEARFUL) of your government turning on you. That IS FEAR, paranoid and irrational FEAR, but fear nonetheless. If you own guns for self protection reasons, you are afraid, it''s that simple. Whether you are protecting yourself from a home invader or your tyrannical government, the choice is based on fear. You are afraid of what a perpetrator will do you if you don't have a lethal means of defending yourself. (ie. no gun)
No one is afraid.
I walk down any street in America without a gun. My guns are locked up to protect me against tyrannical oppression.
Not from people in the world.
You keep talking about fear, but no one is afraid... These are statements you are just making up.
You are projecting your insecurities on others.
All schools should have a minimum of 5 armed officers on staff.Armed Guards, Like at Columbine High School
There would never be another school shooting again.
Armed Guards, Like at Columbine High SchoolSometimes a tragedy has to happen for change to take place.
Sometimes a tragedy has to happen for change to take place. The fact Americans think it is normal to suggest having armed guards in every school is probably the greatest indication of how far their addiction to guns has gone. I can't think of one school in Australia that has an armed guard, the very thought of needing something like that points to a failed society. If you can't protect your own children because a Gun Lobbyist has brainwashed the population, then what hope have you got?
There should be a mobile police staff (of atleast 5 officers) in every highschool in America.
Better then cops looking to catch speeders ::)

Uh yes, because Hebrew home invaders here carry illegal guns and have a habit of beating, raping or murdering homeowners who can't defend themselves ::)Why is it so easy for Hebrew home invaders to have access to guns? So in making it easy for civilians to arm themselves, you have made it easy for criminals to do so also.
You really are not very bright... That's not irrational fear of any sort... It's called being prepared.lol @ your government being terrified of you. You really are laughable, it simply amazes me the amount of bullshit you have to believe to be a dedicated gun owner. As it stand now your government oppresses you, and yet you do nothing but beat your chest and impotently rage. The thing that makes me laugh, your government fucks you over hard and all they need to do that is to let you own a gun. The government WANTS you to have guns, it's in their best interests, it makes it easier to enslave you. They want you to believe they might take them away from you. They worked out long ago that if they let the nutters have their guns then they can exploit them indefinitely. The government knows that the way to enslave the population is to give them guns, they must laugh when they see they have convinced the people because they can own a gun that they are free, rather than the reality that they have been enslaved.
Being prepared is what it's all about.
I'm not afraid of my government... They are afraid of me and what my kind represent... not the other way around.

How am I oppressed? You are so brainwashed you can't even see how you are a victim. I could never expect a simpleton like you to understand Cultural hegemony, and that you are a victim of class warfare, that your thoughts aren't yours, but that of the ruling elite or how you are used as a puppet and kept powerless and impotent, forced to rent your labor to privileged elites. Someone like you could never understand why you have to endure a pathetic wretched life while others have unlimited opportunity and privilege. Your too busy sucking the masters cock thinking he is sucking yours, of course, your master engineered it this way and you aren't clever enough to work it out. Oh well, as long as you have your gun, right! You can tell yourself you are free and powerful while children get murdered in the hallways of their school.
Since you know so much about me and my life... You go ahead and tell me how the government has oppressed me.
Go ahead... I'll wait.
I see no one enslaved here but you... projecting your own fear onto others.
Shameful.
the Government did turn arms on its own people. It did it in Shea's rebellion right after kicking the British out and we had this little thing called the Civil War. Government turned the army on the citizens, more American's were killed than in all other wars combined and then the government left a standing army in the southern states for 10 years to make their point. What fucking century are you living in moron? You live in one of the so called freest countries in the world and you think like someone living in some third world war zone. The average american deserves to be locked away in a gulag simply for being a fucking ingrate. For the past twenty years Australian citizens have been disarmed, how long before the fascist dictatorship starts and the government starts killing everyone, is their a time limit on this process?
Also, some Native American tribes might have an opinion on the subject of a tyrannical U.S government....
you fckin retard.... ::)

Disarm my arse, Australia is now flooded with cheap Italian Beretta pistols 'Made in China' :DLegally disarmed, not talking about what you and your bikie mates get up too!
More guns than ever in Oz.
Legally disarmed, not talking about what you and your bikie mates get up too!
Legally disarmed, not talking about what you and your bikie mates get up too!
Bingo, even you admit itA lot of the crooks aren't armed either, only a tiny percentage of burglaries and crimes are committed using a gun. The bikies are probably the biggest holder of illegal firearms, just ask Teutonic Knight.
The only people not armed in Australia are the law abidingcitizenschumps.

And you have been brainwashed to think you are a slave and as such you now spend your life projecting all your fears onto others who are contented and happy with their life.Your argument doesn't hold up, the majority of people don't believe they are slaves, they believe that renting their labour out to elites is normal. You are right, the under classes are generally content with their lot (they are far from happy), they have been trained to be that way, compliant lemmings. What would it benefit a government (or the illuminati) to brainwash it's citizens that they are slaves knowing this can only lead to revolt if enough people catch on. Sadly, those who see through the propaganda and lies they have been raised with, won their insight through persistent and relentless investigation.
The illuminati are using you as a tool and you just dont know it.
See, you can spin it any way you like, its easy.
E-Kul post a pic.I value myself too much to allow Getbiggers free rein with my image. But just to moderately satisfy your curiosity, I am a white, 41 year old male, 6'2, big boned (lol) and currently sport a long bushrangers beard (down past my chest) and long hair tied back. My ancestry is viking heritage and I don't look to dissimilar to this.
I want to see what a badass of your caliber looks like in real life.
Sadly, those who see through the propaganda and lies they have been raised with, won their insight through persistent and relentless investigation. But I put it to you havent "seen through" anything, you are just a slave to your own misconstrued perception of reality.
But I put it to you havent "seen through" anything, you are just a slave to your own misconstrued perception of reality.I understand my point of view creates extreme cognitive dissonance for you. The difference being, is you are relying on lies and propaganda to make an argument, this is what brainwashed people do. Everyone ISN'T FINE, that's you projecting, and thereby shatters your argument into a million pieces. It isn't just me, many intellectuals comment on these issues, like Noam Chomsky, Sam Harris etc etc. Once again, you have been trained to think everything is just right, you are a great example of the effectiveness of the system. The model works beautifully, and you are a perfect example of it, so thank you for demonstrating for us.
Everyones fine, its just you who believes you have seen the light when in reality you are in a prison of bars created by your own thinking.
We can play at this all day darling, at the end there are no winners. ;)

Ekul unfortunately is just one of those brainwashed hoplophobes (Translation: someone who disagrees with my irrational and paranoid belief system) who cannot be reasoned with (Translation: refuses to have my irrational ideas shoved down his throat), when clear facts and evidence (commonly preached propaganda) are presented which destroy his illusions (Translation: Which confirm the overwhelming spread of my brand of stupidity) he simply buries his head in the sand and regurgitates all the left wing talking points he can muster. (Translation: he remains staunch and defends the truth against all attacks on it by idiotic and unreasonable individuals)Whatever helps you sleep at night. It must burn up the average American Gun Nutters pathetic psyche to know Australia effectively disarmed it's population and made the Country are far better and safer place, one in which children can go to school with no armed guards, no fear of serious harm or being murdered and achieved the highest quality of life in the world, greater than even Americas. Although, twenty years on, we are still waiting for the black helicopters and the gulags to open and be filled up, you never know, it could just be a delayed response.

If you are happy with things there good for you. I didnt realize that australia had 0 murders and 0 crime and that no harm ever comes to anyone now that you have strict gun control...or that americans live in conditions resembling Baghdad ::)We sure don't have crazed gunmen entering primary schools and murdering children, we don't have crazed gunmen murdering moviegoers and we have less murders in a year, than America has in a week. And if you listened to the paranoid gun crowd you would be convinced America was a warzone with the constant preaching of the necessity for mass gun ownership. I didn't say we were perfect, just better! ;D

I'm not playing any game or trying to win anything, it simply appears you are desperately rallying to hold onto your precarious worldview built on lies and propaganda. I understand fully that many people prefer the matrix over real life, and that they prefer the comfort of such a faux worldview. You are welcome to it, me on the other hand I prefer the complexity and subtle empowerment that comes from TRUTH! My motivation is simply to develop as greater understanding of how the world works as I can.
I recommend starting of by learning about cultural hegemony and then maybe reading a couple of Chomsky's books "Propaganda and the Public Mind" or "How the world works". But then again if you are happy, it might not be worth the bother. I disagree with a lot of Chomsky politics, but his insight into mind control is spot on.

I didn't say we were perfect, just better! ;DSososues right, you are an illuminate puppet, you are are anti gun, you want the people unable to defend themselves when the illuminatti decide to put everyone into FEMA camps.
I think the major difference is Australians are prepared to let go of some freedom to ensure greater security, we prefer children to not be killed in mass shootings over the desire to own a gun. I think it really is that simple. AMericans are selfish and think only of themselves, Australians are more community minded and are prepared to sacrifice certain things for the betterment of the society.
Sososues right, you are an illuminate puppet, you are are anti gun, you want the people unable to defend themselves when the illuminatti decide to put everyone into FEMA camps.Seriously, Alex Jones has a lot to answer for. I am often amazed how often a seriously crazy person can gather a willing audience. From Moses to Muhammad to Alex Jones, humanity seems doomed to suffer mentally deranged people and their followers.
Push the agenda , you mind controlled troll.
i dont know what the gun problem is, but its prety clear that knifes are pretty dangerous and many people would be alive it we would have banned them. On the other part it may be possible that terrorists/criminals would adapt and will start to choke people with their hands so i think we should ban hands also for preventionDO Americans seriously have trouble differentiating the difference between the killing efficiency of guns to knifes. AMericans seem to suffer from an inability to see varying degrees within an issue, they go to absurd lengths like comparing spoons to guns, REALLY? A child could kill many grown men with a semi automatic weapon, the same feat accomplished with a knife would be near impossible. Killing someone with a gun is childs play, killing someone with a knife takes a certain fortitude and constitution most men don't possess.
Bingo, even you admit it
The only people not armed in Australia are the law abidingcitizenschumps.
Your point of view has been examined and I have chosen to ignore you its not relevant.Oh Brother, been reading new age books have we on the power of positive affirmations, SImply telling yourself your life is great doesn't make it so. It may help you to repress your shitty life and maintain a facade of happiness, but eventually reality will smash your ridiculousness into a million pieces.
You are now trying to turn me to the fear set up by your illuminatti slave masters, you are not going to turn me, my life is great and yours is in total turmoil.
See how easy it is?

Bottom line...I often wonder how often the privileged classes laugh about how easily they got those they oppress to adopt the ruling-class worldview. I am convinced they take this as justification for their lack of regard for the underclasses.
Ekul is a fat, lazy, hippy go free free.
Explains even more. Liberalism is a mental disorder. Couple it with hippyism and boy do you have a party going on in your head.
yeah and mangled by 2 70lb dogs ::)Oh, another butt hurt getbigger. Vikings weren't exposed to such mutants, they also carried lethal weaponry. I am not the one crying about it, but many a getbigger does. Please feel free to post a video of you taking on two strange pitbulls as a demonstration of your masculinity. If it is such an easy feat, I am sure you will have no issue with demonstrating your pitbull fighting defensive techniques, they should prove interesting. Many others haven't survived a serious pitbull attack, I was able too. The irony is, the average getbigger gun nutter has never even faced a dangerous fearful situation, yet they live in perpetual fear and cling to guns as their only way to relieve it.
Real Vikings would have killed both those dogs , where are you? crying about it on a message board ::)

e-kul is a 'have not' who begrudges 'the haves' for what they have achieved in life.It amazes me your lack of self awareness. It is obvious you are simply projecting, it is you who lives in a fantasy world of myths and monsters where there is always some mysterious agenda. You literally cite Alex Jones verbatim, talking about illuminatis and government takeovers and FEMA camps and all types of conspiratorial nonsense and then in the very next comment you accuse others of having some mysterious agenda. It isn't a mystery that capitalists want to make money, and their is a lot of money in guns, therefore it makes good business sense to convince everyone how badly they need a gun. Absolute zero mystery in that, thats capitalism 101. I think the question you should be asking yourself is 'Who really benefits from you thinking the way you do?","Who benefits from you desperately believing that you must have a gun?"
He lives in a fantasy world of myths and monsters where there is always some mysterious agenda.
Its easier to have this outlook that to buckle down and make something of his life.
people like e-kul are normally just going through a phase, sometimes they come out the other side and realise what an idiot they have been but unfortunately some never recover and their behaviour gets increasingly erratic and outlandish and they normally end up in jail.
In all probability he ignores the official story on everything and believes the world is being driven by some hidden hand rather than accepting the fact that we are all just milling around and making stuff up as we go along.
It amazes me your lack of self awareness. It is obvious you are simply projecting, it is you who lives in a fantasy world of myths and monsters where there is always some mysterious agenda. You literally cite Alex Jones verbatim, talking about illuminatis and government takeovers and all types of conspiratorial nonsense and then in the very next comment you accuse others of having some mysterious agenda. It isn't a mystery that capitalists want to make money, and their is a lot of money in guns, therefore it makes good business sense to convince everyone how badly they need a gun. Absolute zero mystery in that, thats capitalism 101.
As for my own life, I am very content, found a way very early on to make as much money as I needed and unlock the most precious resource of all, my own time.
The irony is you fail to see how irrational it is to espouse the gun nutter ideas that you do in what is possibly the most secure democratic country in the world, it is borderline psychotic. There is absolutely zero rationality supporting it, it is simply fuelled by extreme paranoia and elitist propaganda, whose only interest is the maximisation of profits. The only things that prevents you from seeing the depth of your mental illness is that you are surrounded my like minded people.
Seriously? You are talking about FEMA camps and the illuminati and you think Alex Jones is a loon, there his catchphrases.
You got that from my post?
I never listen to Alex Jones, the guys a fucking loon.
Just listen to yourself, read back what you are writing, you are paranoid.
Who are these shadow people who have this weird agenda, what is there agenda, if you know what their agenda is then they cant be that clever can they?
Seriosly mate, take a deep breath and step away from the computer , its making you crazy.
Since the introduction of the WWW paranoia and idiocy has gone out of control/
Apart from the odd, 'Oswald didnt act alone' fruitcakes it was relatively quiet, now everything is a conspiracy and isnt what it seems.
Stop ranting on at how Im not tuned into whats going on, I dont give a fuck whats going on, it doesn't affect my life at all, I do what I want when I want, the illuminati must be short of something to do if they care about little old you and me.
Ekul i dont even know where to start....your posts are so full of inaccuracies and pure bullshit it makes my head spin. Are you sure it isn't cognitive dissonance that is causing your head to spin?
There is no help for those as far off the deep end as you :-\
Are you sure it isn't cognitive dissonance that is causing your head to spin? Are you sure it isnt cognitive dissonance that you engage in knowing all this shit and doing absolutely nothing about it?
Are you sure it isnt cognitive dissonance that you engage in knowing all this shit and doing absolutely nothing about it?Speaking up IS doing something about it. Staying silent would be doing nothing. Every revolution begins with individuals choosing to speak out. Not only that, I live in a country that coincides with what I want, in terms of gun laws anyway, so there is no need for me to do anything about it. On this issue, I have got what I want. I may be more vulnerable if I fall foul of the odds and am attacked by an armed criminal, but less likely to encounter it because of strict gun laws. I prefer to lessen the odds of it happening in the first place, rather than live in fear of something highly unlikely happening and having a gun by my side, which I only believe endangers me more anyway, so it makes zero sense to want to own a gun. Does anybody believe that if Zimmerman didn't have a gun he would have killed Trayvon martin or vice versa. I doubt it, guns turn a survivable situation into a potentially fatal one.
Are you sure it isn't cognitive dissonance that is causing your head to spin?
“Either you repeat the same conventional doctrines everybody is saying, or else you say something true, and it will sound like it's from Neptune.”
― Noam Chomsky
I doubt it, guns turn a survivable situation into a potentially fatal one. They also turn a potentially fatal one into a survivable one.
Yes. Pretty sure its just your staggering ignoranceAre you sure it isn't you catching a glimpse of your staggering ignorance? Is it possible your masculine identity is so tightly intertwined with gun ownership or the right to own one that you are unable to think rationally about the issue?
They also turn a potentially fatal one into a survivable one. They could also increase the potential of it being a fatal one. An aggressor is going to want to take out the armed intended victim first. I prefer the option of minimising the chances of being confronted by an armed bad guy in the first place, something strict gun regulations have succeeded in doing in Australia.
I fail to see your point.
DO Americans seriously have trouble differentiating the difference between the killing efficiency of guns to knifes. AMericans seem to suffer from an inability to see varying degrees within an issue, they go to absurd lengths like comparing spoons to guns, REALLY? A child could kill many grown men with a semi automatic weapon, the same feat accomplished with a knife would be near impossible. Killing someone with a gun is childs play, killing someone with a knife takes a certain fortitude and constitution most men don't possess.i think 28 dead was pretty efficient, how more people need to be killed with knifes before we ban them?
i think 28 dead was pretty efficient, how more people need to be killed with knifes before we ban them?10 guys, 28 dead. Efficient, hardly. In the same time, armed with automatic weapons they could have killed at least one hundred with 1/10th of the effort. It is absolute absurdity to suggest knives are as proficient a killing tool as guns. If that was truly the case there would be no need to own guns, everyone would just choose knives. Imagined I compared a rocket launcher to a hand gun, or a wolf to a labrador, you would instantly recognise the absurdity of such a comparison, yet you fail to see the absurdity of comparing a knife to a gun.

Or we have to ban the weapons based on the confort of the agressor? - I think cars are pretty eficient , and also confortable (for the agressors) at killing http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/injury.htm Motor vehicle traffic deaths
"Could"Well, if your happy to increase your chances of dying, go right ahead. Acting sensibly can also turn a potentially fatal one into a survivable one, sadly, you will never be able to test that out. Personally, I leave the hero stories to the comic book writers. I will leave you to your personal fantasy of taking down heavily armed aggressors rambo style. It's patently obvious that gun ownership for so called self protection reasons and fantasies of being a hero go hand in hand. For the insecure, it proves a powerful psychological technique to give them a feeling a pseudo sense of being powerful and strong.
Exactly, coulda , woulda, shoulda.
What a fuckwit.
aha, so we have to ban only the eficient killing weapons , not the medium ones? Cars and knives primary purpose is utilitarian, they help countless people, their primary purpose isn't that of killing efficiently. Guns have ONE primary purpose, nobody is preparing dinner with their AK-47's or delivering freight across the country with their semi automatic pistol. If knifes and cars served no other purpose than to efficiently kill people, then yes, banning them would make perfect sense. Either you are an idiot who struggles to differentiate between a cat and a dog, or you are consistently obtuse because you have a self serving agenda. Guns serve a purpose in a farmers, hunters, military, or policeman's hands, they have no purpose other than to create a violent society in the hands of every citizen. The question is, how many dead children will it take before that obvious truth is recognised?

But now i have to ask, if we ban an objct designed for killing, who has a 10,3 efficency what we have to do with an object which isnt made for killing- a car- that has a even bigger eficieny at killing people 10.9 that an object made for that (guns)- !! CAN U IMAGINE WHAT DAMAGE THE CARS WILL DO IF THEY WILL BE USED TO KILL PEOPLE IF THEY KILL NOW MORE PEOPLE THAN GUNS ,EVEN IF THEY ARENT USED FOR THAT? u stupid troll

Anyway, where I live, knifes are banned. You can't carry one in public.
I doubt very much thats true, where do you live?Fantasyland.
My dad always said to me, if something doesn't sound true, it probably isn't true.lol, you're dad is an idiot, what he said wasn't true, because truth isn't determined by whether or not you like the sound of it you moron, truth is verifiable, testable and repeatable. I am convinced a simpleton could see through the falsehood of such an absurd cliche, yet you have obviously incorporated this ridiculousness into your perverse worldview.
You just have to be trolling, no one could keep giving examples based on what "might" happen in a given situation.
Having a gun, not having a gun, could end up with you dead, all the statistics in the world isn't going to change the outcome of your individual incident.
If guns didn't exist then no one would get shot with one.
It's not a difficult concept to understand.
Guns do exist and people do get shot, hardly a surprise either.
Now as guns have been invented you had better work out a viable solution to your problem but you need to add the existence of guns into your equation.
Fantasyland.

ANd I have a viable solution, it happens to be the one my government adopted, we chose the option of minimising the chance of innocent children being shot by a crazed gunmen stalking the halls with an automatic weapon. I know you find it hard to believe, but Australia is nothing like America, it is difficult to get guns, even for criminals, regardless of what bikies like Teutonic Knight say. The last thinh the average Australian wants is to model Americas absurd society.

what? to ban the cars because theyre killing more people than guns?It gets tiresome explaining the difference between black and white to morons. Cars primary purpose is utilitarian, they help countless people, their primary purpose isn't that of killing efficiently. Guns have ONE primary purpose, nobody is delivering freight across the country with their semi automatic pistol or driving to work with their hand gun. If cars served no other purpose than to efficiently kill people, then yes, banning them would make perfect sense. Not only that, there are countless restrictions imposed on driving and owning a car, countless laws, licenses etc etc all designed to minimise the potential for ACCIDENTAL injury. Normal people just want the same types of effective legislation with other risky behaviour also, it just so happens in terms of guns, serious restrictions or bans may be the best preventative legislation.
My dad wasnt that much of an idiot that he failed to understand what the word "probably" meant when used in context.Way to totally fail to grasp any points made, if you aint trolling you are the dumbest fuck on this forum. Are you aware you are an idiot, it's 15 guns per 100 people. This is where I live, Victoria Australia.Controlled Weapons
http://www.police.vic.gov.au/content.asp?document_id=26793 (http://www.police.vic.gov.au/content.asp?document_id=26793)
You can be searched for knives in a public place anywhere, anytime, with and without notice.
If you are 16 and over and get caught carrying a controlled weapon such as a knife, you face an on the spot fine of $1,000, or you may have to go to court and face a fine of over $14,000 or one year imprisonment.
This penalty is doubled if you are inside or within 20 metres of a pub, club or bar.
If you are under 18 you will no longer able to buy any type of knife, including kitchen knives or knives for school or work. To do so is against the law and you will face a $239 on the spot fine, or you could face court and a fine of over $1,400.
Anyone who knowingly sells a knife or other controlled weapon to a minor faces a fine of over $2,300.
Controlled weapons are weapons that can be used for legitimate purposes but require regulation because of the possible danger they pose to the community. This category of weapon includes knives that while not considered prohibited weapons, still are a potential danger to the community.
A person must not possess, carry or use a controlled weapon without lawful excuse. Lawful excuse includes:
a) the pursuit of any lawful employment, duty or activity
b) participation in any lawful sport, recreation or entertainment, and
c) the legitimate collection, display or exhibition of weapon.

Society takes measures to minimise these incidents, and car fatalities have dropped drastically over the decades. The irony is, the car industry, much like the gun lobby, heavily resisted and lobbied against government legislation forcing them to make safer cars, they were simply worried about their bottom line and not the welfare of their customers. Had the car industry got it's way and the Ralph Naders of the world not been so persistent, the fatality rate today from car accidents would be far greater than it is. The only difference being the car industry found a way to market and profit from safer cars and justify the higher prices, the gun lobby is unlikely to find a way to profit from minimising the fatality rate caused by the product they profit from.

Your argument consists of several logical fallacies, namely a red herring and the fallacy of relative privation. The red herring is offering up unrelated issues to distract from the real one and the fallacy of relative privation is dismissing an argument due to the existence of other important, but unrelated, problems in the world.eg: Why ban guns when there are more people killed in car accidents.

And surely you don't believe cars are more efficient at killing than guns, please tell me you are joking. People aren't using their cars to kill people, the deaths that occur are accidents, this doesn't mean they are more efficient than guns at killing. If one was to have a contest between how many school children you could kill in the hallways of a schoolyard with a car or a gun, I am pretty sure the car has trouble killing one, the gunmen continue on until they are all dead if not stopped. The ability of a car to kill is limited to a narrow environment, the moment one goes indoors or under suitable cover, the threat is virtually eliminated.

Just to swerve off topic slightly, who is making all this profit, where does it come from, and why do they need it?The profit comes from you idiot, buying the gun manufacturers wares. And they don't need it, they simply like collecting money. Their motivation is pure greed. Do I need to go into the philosophy explaining human greed? They simply want to maintain the power and privilege that comes with extreme wealth.
(http://i.imgur.com/X9SqJ4O.png)Odd looking hallway! You obviously failed to read my post, cars can kill, but they are cumbersome and limited. They are useless in a building and simply can't access many places. A gunmen with a gun is far more versatile. You morons can remain in denial all you like between the killing efficiency of particular items, it's simply absurdity. Your ridiculous logic shatters your own arguments, if knives and guns are all you need, why do you need a gun then. Just use your car or knife to defend yourself in case of a threat.
You sure about that?
Odd looking hallway! You would get way more in a nursery playground.
ok, let me ask u this? how many people will be saved with car banning and how much with gun banning? We can't eliminate all ACCIDENTS, but crazed gunmen going on shooting sprees aren't accidents, they are the result of a society that has enabled such incidents to occur via poor legislation. Not only that, lets play this game, banning cars, trucks, let's say all forms of transport will have unintended consequences. The system will effectively break down, medicines and vaccines won't get made and delivered, nor will food be produced and distributed, it could possibly wipe out a large chunk of the population, hundreds of millions of people. Worse case scenario, you ban guns and the homicide rate stays consistent with what it was in the past, gunmen still shoot up schools etc etc, ie: more of what you already have, then other possibilities and ideas need to be tried.
Motor vehicle traffic deaths
Number of deaths: 33,687
Deaths per 100,000 population: 10.9
All firearm deaths
Number of deaths: 31,672
Deaths per 100,000 population: 10.3
If we ban guns and cars we save 64000 . If we ban cars we save 33000,if we ban guns we only saving 31000- what should we do?

Oh, another butt hurt getbigger.
I would argue that guns cause more bad than good, especially when you consider children being murdered in the hallways of their schools.
You would get way more in a nursery playground.or coffee.yeah coffee is highly traded good. ;D
Oh and gun companies have never made a penny out of me, I dont own a gun.
"They" make far more money on IPhones than they do on selling guns, again, whats your fucking point?

Aha, u say that we should not ban cars because millions will die? its strange i thought that werent cars in 1700-1800 and nobody complained, it s more important to have confort than to save lives?
Cars serve a multipurpose, society weighs up the good vs bad ration, and cars provide more good than bad, I would argue that guns cause more bad than good, especially when you consider children being murdered in the hallways of their schools.
You would get way more in a nursery playground. No you wouldn't. By the time it was established there was someone driving a car with malicious intent, cover could soon be taken, cars are cumbersome and inefficient in confined spaces and with obstacles in their way. A gunmen could go on indefinitely if he had enough ammo and nobody to stop him.
Oh and gun companies have never made a penny out of me, I dont own a gun.
"They" make far more money on IPhones than they do on selling guns, again, whats your fucking point?
Why do you constantly keep labouring over and repeating this emotive point.in america, 50% of the police shootings are said to be dliberate suicide by cops.
You sound like the people who want to ban all pornography because children "might see it"
By the way, do you know how many gun deaths are actually suicides as opposed to homicides?
The answer may surprise you.
off course we can to eliminate all cars accident if we ban the cars , u dumb? Aha, u say that we should not ban cars because millions will die? its strange i thought that werent cars in 1700-1800 and nobody complained, it s more important to have confort than to save lives? This really becomes an exercise in absurdity. You can't seriously compare the 1700 and 1800's to today. Modern society has structured itself around modern transport, modern society is RELIANT on it in a way they weren't back then. Unlike then, we are DEPENDANT on certain things, like transport systems, electricity grids, mains water etc etc Changes to any of those necessities would have dire consequences for many people. This is one of the issues, capitalism has done away with self reliance and independence, there is no money in it. But seriously, the getbigger gun nutters is like relating to kindergarten kids with their ridiculous questions and observations.
No you wouldn't. By the time it was established there was someone driving a car with malicious intent, cover could soon be taken, cars are cumbersome and inefficient in confined spaces and with obstacles in their way. A gunmen could go on indefinitely if he had enough ammo and nobody to stop him. That would be your fault, its you thats banned guns.
And I wasn't making a point, I was answering your question on who profits from guns and why.
And I thought the gun nutters and their rants and ravings where crazy, at least they have a vested interest to protect and their bias is understandable. You don't find it odd that you argue the absolute necessity for a citizen to own a gun yet choose not to own one.
This really becomes an exercise in absurdity. You can't seriously compare the 1700 and 1800's to today. Unlike then, we are DEPENDANT on certain things, like transport systems, electricity grids, mains water Guns to protect ourselves against violent criminals like we had back in the 1700s and 1800s etc etc Changes to any of those necessities would have dire consequences for many people. This is one of the issues, capitalism has done away with self reliance and independence, there is no money in it. But seriously, the getbigger gun nutters is like teaching kindergarten kids with their ridiculous questions and observations.
That would be your fault, its you thats banned guns.Banned YOU from having guns, not police forces.
I couldn't give a fuck if people have guns or not, whatever gave you the impression I am pro gun?
Jeez do you read anything anyone writes?
Banned YOU from having guns, not police forces.Im advocating freedom of choice, something you seem to be totally unfamiliar with.
And the fact you have argued for the past 4 hours against banning guns gives the impression you are pro gun.
This is where I live, Victoria Australia.

Jeez i sure wouldnt want to live in a nanny-state like that...and you say americans are paranoid??I guess you are right, I suppose it would be better to live in a country that experiences regular mass shootings, crazed gunmen killing children under ten and gunning citizens down in movie theatres. terrorists are flying planes into skyscrapers and detonating bombs during fun runs. For a minute there I don't know what come over me, who wouldn't want to live in such a society.

A lot of the crooks aren't armed either, only a tiny percentage of burglaries and crimes are committed using a gun. The bikies are probably the biggest holder of illegal firearms, just ask Teutonic Knight.

It is near impossible to get guns in China, even for Islamic fundamentalists.
The only people who benefit from a large percentage of the population owning guns are gun manufacturers.

Don't be that much naive E-Kul, analyze map of China, Chings Muslims can get get guns from Russia, nobody makes more pistols than them, who supply black markets with those guns ;D ?.I doubt it, if they could have they would have. They wouldn't be using knifes for terrorist acts if they could, you can actually receive the death penalty in China for selling illegal guns. The chinese don't fuck around.

Yea i mean its just crazy over here, we all have to put on bullet proof vests just to step outside the house. I mean its a total war zone ::)lol, That's the image gun nutters paint to everyone else. This is what's crazy, the lack of self awareness, gun nutters claim they are scared of their government and home invaders and of crime and you want a gun, and when people ask you what are you scared of you reel of countless tales of potential tyranny and then the crazy part is comments like yours, projecting you own craziness onto the liberal media. It is the gun nutters who sell the idea of potential tyranny and threat and fear and this is the justification for desiring a gun for self protection.
Thats probably the image your liberal media outlets paint for you ::)

BULLSHIT, who trust Chings media/propaganda ::) they say same shit about Tibetans.China has strict gun laws, a very low homicide and gun crime rate. I'm not saying illegal guns aren't traded, but nothing to what it would be like if they had liberal type American laws where it was essentially a free for all for anyone who wants one. I mean, thanks to America and it;s ridiculous drug laws and ridiculously easy gun access, they have armed the most ruthless and deadly mexican drug cartels and essentially brought the country to it's knees. I mean,we can't have kids smoking pot, having them shoot up their classmates is fine though. Americans, sheeeeshh !
Dalai Lama is terrorist for them too.
Chings mob is selling/supplying all black markets (Melbourne too), get real amigo.
Ok, I'll play. How many would be dead if they could buy guns at the local K-Mart? Or if everyone had guns?
Srsly tho these are the worst terrorists ever. Run in and stab everyone? That's a plan?

I don't know how long it takes... but when it comes, you should hope to be dead because when it happens, you will have no way to stop it.
I think it's cute how those outside of the US pretend... yes... pretend to understand what the US does.
Let's not forget that the Australian government turned to the US to protect them during WW2... You know... more of those crazy gun nutters making sure that Australia doesn't become a part of the Japanese empire.
You can always expect a logical and rational argument from a gun nutter. ;D
I value myself too much to allow Getbiggers free rein with my image. But just to moderately satisfy your curiosity, I am a white, 41 year old male, 6'2, big boned (lol) and currently sport a long bushrangers beard (down past my chest) and long hair tied back. My ancestry is viking heritage and I don't look to dissimilar to this.
