Diego is a lil twink. Look at him standing alll tense in the octagon like his head is about to explode with steam... vs BJ Penn a true professional calm as can be.

Also note, this is the same way Mir fights... chill as can be.

Trying what ? a single leg take down ,he was just buying time ,he knew he was outclassed ,he didn't even connect once.

he couldn't get a grip on the double leg, its fucking impossible to take bj down unless your name is gsp.

He tried. And he landed punches a few hard ones also, and was close with the headkick a few times.

He did keep trying the whole fight, he just couldn't do anything. He couldn't punch cuz BJ's counterpunching was dead on, and he couldn't take him down. BJ's timing is so good, he couldn't land a kick. What was left?
