actually he could probably have it now or very close. If you want to give it a go and see wether or not you've got it already, I'd work this rep scheme on a day you're prep'd and good to go.
135x10x1 warmup
315x5x1
360x2x1
385x2x1
make your 405 attempt. I wouldn't work alot of reps or sets into it before hand. Just some hard pressing on the way up. After the warmup, you'll have your body pumped and you can prep it for the attempt on the way up by going heavier and heavier but not burning out on sets. If I was you, I'd cut out that useless set of 225 and jump straight to 315 after your warmup. I cut it out and kept me from gassing higher up in the weight.
I would even go as far as recommend something like this:
Bar-only 20 reps warmup
135x15x1 warmup
225x5x1
315x1x1
360x1x1
385x1x1
Then go for the 405 lift.
Mesmorph: You may be able to lift it, but give yourself a fair shot at doing it as well.
Do it by training benchpress lighter and more explosive next week. Don't go any higher in reps and sets though, just back off the weights some.
Also, make sure you haven't trained triceps or chest at least during the three days before the attempt.
Finally, rest the day before the attempt. Preferably, give yourself two days of rest.
The key is, as you see, to back off the weights slightly before the attempt, so you're well-rested.
Just like elite athletes do prior to major contests.
