And they made made automatic weapons harder to get...which may have led to the assualt weapons ban under Clinton. He didn't grab any guns. Your guy just said that weapons that are made to kill people should be banned. I own 20 or so weapons...I don't hunt, nothing I own could be classified as a hunting rifle. Guns as implied in the Bill or Rights are not guaranteed for hunting, but to defend yourself against government....and its ilk!

Yes.  Just defending yourself is MORE than enough reason.  Highly advisable for someone living in a rural area, for sure.  Simply "calling the Sheriff" doesn't fly when you're 50 miles from the nearest anything.
