Agreed - he provides more info about Arnold than anyone and there's been some prety original pics and threads about the guy in the last few weeks. I believe Pollux was interested in the modship for the Entertainment Board recently so I definitely think he'd be up for this instead.

Just give it some thought, Ron. I don't think you could go wrong with it. A board specifically made for bodybuilding's favorite son! Everyone LOVES Arnold and people wouldn't have to search high and low on Getbig for anything/everything Arnold - they could just go straight to the source with the Arnold Board. 8)

Arnold has been awarded the Gold Order of the IFBB as the greatest bodybuilder of the 20th century...has won poll after poll as being everyone's FAVORITE and BEST bodybuilder via Flex magazine.
I think this desribes why he should have his own board. :)

Members wouldn't have to search high and low through the Getbig site for Arnold threads, etc., they could just go straight to the source - The Arnold Board!
As for who would mod it? A few people have expressed on this thread that I would make a great mod if such a board was to be created...I tend to agree. :)

I also nominate Pollux for Arnold Board mod Ron - I would also do it myself too but obviously I'm not on Getbig every single day like some people but I would put the effort in to make sure it runs well. There's probably a few other worthy contenders who could throw their names into the hat too.
As for position on the site - I recommend it should be placed somewhere between the G&O and the Positive Board. ;D

Over at the getbig.com forums, we desperatly need an Arnold section to be able to discuss all things Arnold.
At getbig, we truly believe Arnold Schwarzenegger is the best bodybuilder to ever walk this earth, a true legend that was never beaten.
We also love your movies and (i cannot speak for all of us here) i truly think you're the best governor California could ever have. Environment issues, Education and health have never been adressed in a trustworthier form.
Our problem is that despite week long begging, our efforts to create an Arnold board falls on deaf ears with Ron Avidan. You can look up the debate at

nutrition&supplements, this board, pics board, general topics and x board.
thats all we fucking need, it was so much better back then. now we have like 10,000 fucking goddamn boards clogging shit up, it also seriously dillutes the amount of posts on many of these boards, like the training board which gets like 1 post a week now.

GoneAway is a very cool Getbigger, and has actually helped me with Arnold related issues via PMs. He seems to have a connection with David New - an Arnold historian. I think GoneAway's admiration for Arnold shines through, but not more than mine. ;D
When Ron does create The Arnold Board, myself and GoneAway as mods would make the board "fantastic" for all to visit! 8)

Seriously, I don't know why Ron hasn't created one yet. Arnold is THE MOST popular bodybuilder - ever! Everyone loves him. Getbig members wouldn't have to search high and low for Arnold related threads or stories, they can just go straight to the source with The Arnold Board.

That would be a clean cut good idea. Arnold being the "first" Pro bodybuilder or at least the one to make a living out of it, I would assume positiveness is the key.

Positive Board is a good idea. To make the most out of it, it would need to be kept constructive and to the point. A bunch of people coming in and claiming things like calf implants would be welcomed, but only if it's constructive with a genuine goal of either having the proof or finding the proof.
Pollux would be the only mod needed when it starts up and any other mod positions can be decided upon how Pollux is handling the job.

I've seen A LOT of your Arnold contribution via threads and replies throughout Getbig. Hell, you've even helped me with Arnold related issues through PMs. I think you and I as The Arnold Board mods would be "fantastic"! Trust me Ron and Getbiggers when I say GoneAway as my right-hand-man moderator would be vital. Unless of course he doesn't want that position.

I second the notion to have Pollux and Goneaway as mods on the Arnold Board. Even though it was originaly my idea for this I have no interest in being a mod because I simply cannot contribute the quality that these guys produce on Arnold but I would certainly be one of the main users of the board regardless. There has been some excellent threads on the G & O about Arnold recently and quite frankly I think it's wasted there. I don't think there has ever been as much interest on Getbig in creating a board more so than the Arnold Board.

I say just let him dominate the majority of the discussion, if he's that popular he's earned it and it's justified, but to give him is own board raises a number of moral, "opinion" issues.

Probably because it absolutely dominated discussion; maybe the board was "drowning" in discussion about such freak incident. Arnold doesn't even dominate the bodybuilding discussion, though. Surely the discussion level about him isn't at the level it must have been during that murder, which simultaneously involved two people in this sport.

Because whether you like Arnold or not, he is the epitome of a bodybuilder. Not only for his popularity, but for his physique as well. Time after time he has won numerous polls via magazines and the Internet. He was givin' the IFBB Gold Order as being the greatest bodybuilder of the 20th century!

Arnold is by far the number one persona in bodybuilding today and when he was the Mr. Olympia. He brought in a new level, one which raised the bar, and then, even after he finished competing in the pro ranks, kept in the bodybuilding industry by helping to promote a contest, and keeping in the publics eye even to this day.
From a humble bodybuilder to a powerful movie star, to a stern business owner, to the governor of California, by far the most famous bodybuilder of them all.
To this day, his covers outsell many others, Physical Magazine has thier annual cover, and Muscle & Fitness has theirs too. He is probably one of the most prolific bodybuilder and should have the most covers too.
Still no Arnold Board. If it hasn't happened after 12 pages and 8 months of suggestions, the chances are slim that it will ever happen; let alone in the immediate future.
