Dorian had almost NO coverage at his first contest

McGough was talking bout Yates before he won english nats, he was all over the english edition of Flex mag, and had build-up to the NOC in regular Flex magazine too, but he deserved 2nd there anyway.

By the time Mr O came round, everyone knew who yates was

Agree with wildwillie, Ortiz was the Priest of his time

Yes as was Hugo Labra who inspired Dan Padilla

Steve, you look so much better than David in that pic. His legs, both quads and calves, aren't even in your league. But he was the one everybody knows and the bias was with him. Hopefully now that you are in the States you will get better exposure and place more fairly.

Agreed... Steve looks awsome in that picture.

I'm not sure. I found a few articles from a search but he's just mentioned on the competitor list. Doesn't give a height but I see he did compete in the medium height class. I don't remember what the cutoff's were on height. He had 5 covers.

after his 2nd place at the NOC behind Momo, he got a shit load of coverage

very unorthodox for a bber to be so successful, and be based out of the USA(southern cal), maybe it worked to his benefit?

Padilla was one of my all time favorites with the exception of his height he was near perfect. Had he been atleast 5'5 he would have definitly won an O IMO.

Easily Padilla

You gotta be blind not to pick him

Absolutely...great proportions. Hard to tell how short he is unless he's standing next to someone else.

Imo, Priest's upper torso was far too long for him to be a symmetrical bodybuilder.

You really don't know what symmetry means, do you?

Padilla has near perfect shape and proportions. Rounder muscles than Labrada or Makkawy even. Priest has awesome arms and very good legs, but his long torso throws his proportions off. For just sheer chest and back development, obviously Colombu has them all beat. For the overall total package though, Danny wins. :)

Lee Priest

reached his peak at 22 lol

That was one of his best posing routines ever...Up and coming bodybuilders need to look to that routine for learning how to pose...No ass shaking fag shit.

i'm going with priest.

at his best, he was 220 lbs. on stage - much bigger and thicker then the others on this.

also, priest would continually get 6th at the olympia against guys like yates, levrone, nasser, etc.

the other guys - labarada - if competed later in the 90's- would have been too small to break the top 6 at any olympia past 1994.

Padilla was something of a miniature Schwarzenegger. Superior to all of those listed here.  Franco and Makkawy would follow Danny in that order. Priest?  Way too much on far too little a frame.

I agree. Danny's side chest post does kind of look like Arnold in miniature.  :)

As far as posing, check out Makkawy...artistry plain and simple. No ass shaking, and his transitions are poses within themselves...
