Since then Nasser faded ultimately placing 15th before being forced to retire for health issues. He never had the staying power of a Cutler or Ray. He won only two or three "pageants" and was never able to win them the second time. A couple of times he had to pull out of competitions citing health problems. Now he lives in San Diego running gear from mexico and making a living off that...that and his worn clothing ;D. Being omitted from the ASC was just another nail in his coffin. From what I hear he has another major surgical operation coming up.

1996 Grand Prix Czech Republic, 1st
1997 Grand Prix Czech Republic, 3rd

1996 Grand Prix Russia, Winner
1997 Grand Prix Russia, 3rd

1999 Arnold Classic, 1st
2002 Arnold Classic, 10th

1995 Night of Champions, 1st
2004 Night of Champions, 15th

Shawn Ray on the other hand never placed lower than 5th. He didnt have the height/structure to compete with the true bigboys once the mass craze began. His mouth and height probably cost him a lot of first places. Top 5 Olympia Finalist for 12 Consecutive Years, a feat no other bodybuilder has duplicated

So why do you think Nasser never got the O. Was Dorian really that popular? Was Nasser so disliked by the powers that be? I remember a time when you couldn't pick up a mag and not see his image plastered all over. I thought he was being groomed as the next Mr. O.

Squad...I have already been plenty forthcoming when I was vanquished (embarassed...if that makes you happy, although I never was) when I stood on stage next to Pete Larue (AAU AMerica); Vinny Cuonzo (Teen National Champ); Victor Terra (Everything in Nabba and AAU); Jeff King and others.

There were other times when I was on the dot and took down guys who were, yes, 30 or 40 pounds heavier than me.

I was in 60 contests. Its the law of averages.

Furthermore, I was never a heavyweight...only in one show where I was at least 10 pounds overweight...always MW or LHW... :D

The reason why the getbig forum is still alive is due to the simple fact that the members of the getbig Big6 post on here, IE, myself, Howie, 240 is back, gh15, Donkeykong and mars. The rest are just substandard posters. Heart's in the right places, but not in the same league as the Big6.
